So yes, I would have preferred another vote won, almost any really.

Hahaha no. That's not how it works at all. That just leads to pissed off people in general. Especially when something they didn't vote for wins.

Seems to be how the OP is counting it. And that's how I've seen it in all the quests I've participated in (which is arguably not many, but they were/are all big ones..)

Just saw that. That's a pretty questionable decision, @EvaUnit01. As much as I like having the vote heavily biased towards my own selection, it's hardly fair to break up such heavily connected decisions.

Most quests I have been don't count it like that unless they are using survey's. Because that's how it gets counted automatically. The one time I saw someone insist on it being counted like that pissed off everyone else playing in that quest. Mainly because the guy knew that if it was counted like that then his vote would win. And here's the main thing that pissed people off at him about that. The Gm had never counted votes like that before.
Also Like he said it's a matter of fairness. Some people don't want their votes broken up if they are voting for two different options. Mainly because they are voting for one because of their first vote.
