I don't think it was so much that he isn't the type to have one as it is the girls in his school annoyed the shit out of him. In fact I think that he would be more inclined to be with a girl here if only because the female cast have the potential to be strong enough to stand on their own rather then simply cling to him. Just the fact that Inner Moka and Mizore have already helped him in fights probably is doing favors for his outlook on the local female population.

And I don't think he's a dense protag as much as he doesn't choose to let anyone in. To win him whoever is at it will probably have to go on at least a few serious adventures with him first to work their way past his defenses enough to get him to take their confession seriously.

Also, no, the laughing picture is a mashup from the Sun episode where they figured out how the Stand user, Arabia Fats, was hiding and were laughing at how stupid the method was, not because of the work of an 「enemy stand」.

I never said it was an「enemy stand」I said it was an 「enemy stand user」. Which it was.
 
So should we be expecting mysterious lunches to start showing up around Jotaro, always pleasantly fresh and chilled?

That is one of those Japanese things, right? The girls making lunches for guys or something? I only vaguely remember. Though I gotta give Mizore this, providing your own refrigeration is pretty swell.

Yeah I'm pretty sure it's a thing. It was even in JoJo, IIRC.

....actually, no, I think that a lot of harem protagonists with few redeeming features other than their niceness are like that. Tsukune just pulls it off a bit better than most.

Also, for genre equivalence and similarity in themes, I insist that Man!doka is Shinji Ikari.
Both of them went through untold suffering, both of them destroyed and rebuilt the system that caused aforementioned suffering, both of them effectively became God, both of them are often said to be gay....
