Renascence: A Homura Quest

Honorifics or Western-style Titles? I've used both before, which is bothersomely inconsistent

Hm, so ...

Kyouko = White with a Blue ability, or possibly W/U
Kyouko post-breakup would be Red

Madoka and Mami would be White.

Homura would be ... Izzet, probably. Red with a Blue ability, though arguably pure Red.

Sayaka would be White, possibly W/R.

Oriko would be Blue, I think. Kirika would probably be Red.

All Witches would be at least partially Black, perhaps? Don't really know enough other characters to comment on them.

Hmm... Actually:
Madoka would be more into W/G, since she cares about the welfare of all.
Homura is one os the best examples of B philosophy: She only cares on one objetive (save Madoka), and cares on nothing else.

And Oriko embodies the worst W/U can offer, actually.

... I might be wrong as well, but *shrugs*

Green doesn't really care about "the welfare of all," though - that's just a nice White viewpoint. You could argue that Madoka is definitely not Green, because she's disrupting the interdependence of Witches and Magical Girls (though the obvious counter-argument is that, since both are unnatural, Madoka doesn't like either one, but since MGs are nicer ...).
Homura is one os the best examples of B philosophy: She only cares on one objetive (save Madoka), and cares on nothing else.
Black's core philosophy is "Me. I matter, nothing else does." Red, however, is very firmly on the side of emotions - Homura is driven by her love for Madoka to try and protect her. Homucifer would be heavily Black, but Homura herself is likely to have very little, since she doesn't care about herself except insofar as she can continue to protect Madoka. She doesn't have the "Sacrifice anything and everything" feeling that Black does - she doesn't kidnap Madoka to try and keep her out of Walpurgisnacht's way, for example, and while she is relatively callous WRT other people, she doesn't try to actively use them to further her goal of keeping Madoka safe.

You could, on the other hand, make a strong case for post-breakup Kyouko being either Black or R/B, because she is intensely selfish and willing to deliberately sacrifice others for her own gain. I don't think I'd agree with her being pure B, but the case could be made.

And Oriko embodies the worst W/U can offer, actually.
Admittedly, I don't really remember Oriko very well; how is she White?

I dunno what you´re talking about but Oriko has a huge messiah complex, after she saw a vision of Kreimhild Gretchen she endevoured to kill Madoka so that she couldnt become a witch, she looks to be fairly lawful, her father was a politician and she has a cool hat, she is a pretty powerful pre-cog.

White represents Order and Law, and the preservation of the status quo.
Unless the Status Quo is "Capitalist Imperialists run Society and people like Kyouko are the Law Enforcement," in which case White is the Rebel. If the world is in Anarchy, White seeks to establish order, not preserve the status quo. If there are two countries, one White and one Red, the two will (probably) be in conflict, as each tries to force its beliefs on the other, instead of W trying to maintain the SQ and Red seeking to overthrow it.

Many politicians could be categorized as Black :/ Precog (and time-affecting abilities in general) are usually Blue in nature, which is why I put her there. I knew that she was an antagonist because she wanted to kill Madoka so she wouldn't Witch, but without knowing what her motivation as far as that goes is, it's hard to tell which color she would be in. Does she want to kill Madoka so her Witch won't destroy the world? Probably White, but not necessarily.

Shes in the "well intentioned extremist" side, her father committed suicide, when she contracted she saw a vision of Gretchen destroying the world.

What would Blueberry be then?

Yeah, I should've been clearer in my last post that I can see her being White.

What would Blueberry be then?
Most likely White, what with the "Hero of Justice" thing she has going on. Anyone whose goal is a selfless 'protection of others' deal is probably going to be (at least partially) White - Kyouko, Madoka, Sayaka, and Mami all have shades of wanting to protect everyone - contrasted with Homura's specific desire to protect Madoka because of her emotional attachment.

...
Anyway. We were going to see a movie, right?

[X]Continue to the Movie.
- [X] If Sayaka presses, talk with her about her desire to be our bodyguard, and possibly about magic in general.
-- [X] If Sayaka doesn't ask us about it during the movie, wait until we get back to her house and initiate the conversation.

Edit: I trust Homura not to do anything stupid WRT discussions of magic in public, so we shouldn't need to micromanage that decision, and if Sayaka doesn't press it means we can (hopefully) calm down during the movie, enjoy ourselves, and recover a bit of Sanity.

If I were describe them off that color wheel, I'd probably put it something like this:

Kyouko (pre)
- White - Morality
- Green - Naive
- Red - Freedom

Kyouko (post)
- Black - Selfishness
- White - Law
- Red - Impulse

Sayaka
- White - Morality
- White - Order
- Red - Impulse

Homura
- Black - Selfishness
- Blue - Omniscience
- Red - Action

Madoka
- Red - Impulse
- White - Peace
- Green - Growth

Oriko
- Blue - Omniscience
- Black - Paranoia
- Black - Parasitism

Mami
- White - Morality
- Green - Mature
- Red - Action

Man I thought you meant Selector Infected Wxcross. Which is basically the Madoka of card-game anime, so it would be cool to match them up... Hmmm... *omake plot bunnies*

So, for the card game I mentioned (this isn't an omake but random fun ramblings which may turn into one) which is actually spelled wixoss :p (apparently pronounced wee-kross), I'm thinking:

Blue: spell support, drawing cards and making your opponent discard
Maybe Homura? Blue seems to be about information control, and with her time knowledge and timestop she has that. (Trying to avoid the obvious Sayaka=BLUEW! association and actually look at the color specialties.)

Green: manipulation of the playing field, increasing your power, banishing opponent's powerful cards
Mami? She has insane fire power, and both muskets and ribbons are pretty good at field manipulation.

Red: direct attacks on opponent's health, banishing weak cards, gaining power during your turn.
...Yeah, definitely Kyoko, with her 'survival of the fittest' mentality.

Black: power reduction, sending cards to the trash, recovering cards from trash.
Sayaka maybe? Her healing powers practically act as "resurrection" (from should-be-fatal or at least severe injuries).

So that leaves Madoka for:
White: deck manipulation, defensive power, attack prevention, returning cards to opp's hand, field manipulation
Actually, the deck scrying thing would work for Oriko, and defense sounds like Sayaka... Actually no, Sayaka doesn't do defense (I'm thinking of her color being blue, as in defense, in the TCG Weiss Schwarz). She rushes in there like an idiot hero. >.>

Alternately, Madoka could be 'resurrection' and thus Black, for obvious reasons.

[X](2) With Kyouko watching over you, your resolve firms. You have a goal, and hope. Don't let uncertainty shake you.
[X](2) Hang back a little during the walk to the theater, letting Mikimom pull ahead, so you can talk privately with Sayaka
[X](2) Your wish... Wishes can be tricky, and the wording can be important. Do you actually need to be my literal bodyguard, or is that merely one of the options you have, or are you just trying to word it in a way you think I'll find acceptable?
[X](2) Try to get a quick summary of the effects and complications of what she needs, so we can make an informed decision, and make sure she's not jumping into things the wrong way.
