I'll be honest, the more I think about it, the more I feel like this whole laser-tag was a mistake. There is little we can hope from it, but there's a lot of ways for this to turn out into a traumatic experience for Homura.

... well at least it should be entertaining to read.
 
There should be something of a disconnect as well since these are laser guns as opposed to real ones (or even simulated ones), so that should hopefully help stave off any PTSD.

... If it doesn't I think we might be about to find out what happens when you hit 0 (or negative?) SAN though.

Sayaka seemed pretty bummed out that Madoka will probably end up contracting. I think it would be a very good idea to tell her that we are a time traveller tonight when we go back to her place.

What would that achieve? We have to be mindful of the time and place and circumstances. Just hitting her with that revelation after a day of supposed fun is just horrible.
 
So I'm not sure if it was spotted before or not, but the last Dream Homura had, only a few updates ago, that very much reminded me of how a Witch and her Familiars might act.

Another interesting point in that scene was it was a (what we think probably are) Homura copy that went through a fracture/portal and got shit-stomped. We've previously established that at least some of these are locked away memories, but I'm wondering if it might also be more directly linked to the fractured state of the World. That is that the Homura who got cut in half and Prima was healing might have been the one exploring SAO, where we also got bisected, though I'm not sure how exactly, so... Also the mention of "She" makes me think it could be a memory, but I don't know who cut us in half in SAO, so that could be a she as well.

Also, re-reading the Waver Velvet omake made me think of Great Father Teacher Waver Velvet for some reason.

Waver: *Dripping in a green fluid placidly* "And that is why you always double-check you're summoning circles to make sure nothing is out of place and/or inside them."

"SKREEE!" *Giant bug monster jumps up behind him before exploding and covering Waver in more bug guts*

Waver: *Nods* "Thank you Ms. Vencia for showing the importance of double-tapping as well. Class is dismissed."

*Half the students, the greenhorns, shakily make their way out while the other half, the veterans, calmly walk out*

So...I use dice for this quest. I don't show them often, only really for major rolls, especially in terms of combat--there's generally little point, because the dice tend to fall in reasonable ways for most things.

Then I started rolling for LASER TAG!, and everything went nuts. Partially because this system wasn't designed with normal humans in mind, but also because the dice are doing that thing where they're clearly not random in spite of all logic.

Your first opponents have attacked twice so far. Their rolls?

Natural 99 and 100.

Sayaka, meanwhile, has rolled attacks of 32 and 7.

Not gonna spoil more than that, but...yes, this is going very weirdly.
