The reason we are all so fond of Dr. Mammoth Ibis is he reminds us of us in that he loves power combinations and is absolutely nuts (affectionate).

this moves so fast I blink and six more pages show up and the topic switches are dramatic how did y'all go from talking about potential combinations of teleporters to the lesbian percent run and fanfiction normally I don't pay super much attention to the messages unless they refer to me or I strongly disagree but now I feel like I have to read all of them cuz there's a story arc to every single one
No idea honestly. I guess it depends on the quest. This quest has a lot of different stuff to talk about, and any time Bitterman or somebody says something of note it makes people talk or maybe just add something all together new.
Only other quest ive ever seen so much discussion (once they nearly got to 100 additional pages ofnpure discussion between updates) was To live is to Dream, a pokemon quest by Ambit in spacebattles... it went from move discussion, to nega quest, to what pokemon we could possibly get, making custom moves, the terror that is fighting an MC and BARELY winning, to chemical warfare, to mentaly breaking a Admin of a villain team, to discussing memes, to 10 chapters of a side quest because the the QM could and the audience went with the joke, which ended in a self realization of the MC, to contest, to cooking, to a cooking AU. And were about to enter Eterna Forest which has been established as and I quote "Feudal Three Kingdom Land/ Actual Hell".

Welcome to Project Prometheus! There was also the Actor Au->High School AU-> Frozen Throne discussion chain that happened once. (I'm not making this up.)

I can imagine a high school Au pretty easily that's just a slice of life version of what we're already have assuming they still have their powers of course seeing my sad emo teen what's normal people sound hilarious I don't really know what an actor Au looks like though

Everyone else we're playing God with forces we can barely comprehend we have to treat every time you use this is not as an experiment would birthing a new hero and all the responsibility that comes with it
Dr. Ibis and us FUCK your metaphorical gods they have nothing on my science we praised Prometheus here because he was smarter than everyone else not because he was a god

Noted for checking out later reasons

... Hey so anyone think the moment the interview happened a Justice Unlimited V2 dating sim went into production?

Hey so with our new marketing and communications expert around, should we try and make that dating sim?

Hey so-

I don't really know what an actor Au looks like though
Well there is this really good Omake, written by a really good writer...
And you know what, as it turns out said Omake had an extremely well written sequel...
that's just a slice of life version of what we're already have assuming they still have their powers of course
No, without powers. It was a sports team thing. Scarlet Maturity was a football dude.

@Bitterman, Before the Movement what was Justice Unlimited's biggest flaw?

I mean, we already know what New Dawn's biggest flaw was; Novalight

Can't we just use Lightstep and stack Enhanced Strength with powers like Adamant? Or use Lightstep/Daggermaw/{one of Sewer Rat/Fast Track} as a base and try to aim for a self enhance synergy?

You need soldier x there for fitness and regen.
Maybe? That's the biggest question that exists surrounding that synergy tbh.

Since there is a world where its just grab all 5 tags of Self Enhance, Fitness, Enhanced Senses, Enhanced Speed, and Enhanced Senses. Maybe some of those can double up to express the same core synergy in a different way. We don't really know yet but there's a few options imo.

Hmm if we gonfor Soraia to T6 instead of Cain T8.

Plan Transfer Hand
-Memoria 4
-Crimson Soprano 2
-Mr Hunch 1
-Steadfast 2
-Potency Reduction 3
-Total Potency 6

An Invulnerable Telekinetic Teleporter. Strong but easy to claim Soraia hide it unless we rolled badly on side effects.

So Soraia can have a Public Identity to use her Great Rep.

Idly, how much combo rejiggering was required behind the scenes when Zeno's twin powers got merged into Space-Time Manip., and when Emotion Manipulation turned into Mental? Was it fairly smooth?

A Lesson in Failure - spiderhellian
A Lesson in Failure

Silvio likes to think that he's learned a lot, being a hero. He tried to learn from every member of Global Justice, and would go back over every conversation he had with Justiciar to make sure there wasn't some pearl of wisdom he had missed. Every day he studied, he practiced, he questioned, he learned.

Today, as the minutes drag on, and the computer screen he's looking at remains unchanging, he's starting to realize there's something he missed.

He never learned what it was like to fail.

Oh, not every mission was a perfect success. Though Global Justice was largely uncontested in the Foot of the Ladder, ventures outside had their risk, which could or could not pay off. There were villains they sometimes defeated, and some times couldn't catch. Still, they didn't always win -- but they never truly lost. Until that fateful day, where they lost everything.

He shudders, thinking again of Justiciar's voice as she told him, ordered him, not to come. That too is a conversation he's gone over again and again. But even the Movement -- he lost so many of those he loved, but it wasn't he who failed. He hadn't even been permitted to try!

It's a blessing -- or perhaps, he thinks now, part of the curse -- of being an Algernon-type hero. If you set your mind to something, you can achieve it. Whatever in the world -- or out-of-this-world idea -- it may be. There will be a price to pay, but success is always there in front of you, you just need to reach out and take it.

He has set his mind to a task, the past few weeks. He tried every channel he could think of, many that he doubted had even a chance at success, and a few truly bizarre ways to send a message. (No, Lady Leizi isn't getting signals from the auction-price of rare sunglasses, what was he even thinking?)

He tried. He tried so hard. He put everything he had out on the line, quite literally, and it wasn't enough.

The inbox in front of him, which patiently waits for precisely one person's reply, remains blank.

He's failed. Truly, truly, failed.

It tastes like ashes in his mouth.

Y'know that classic line, "He who writes strange ideas for fanfic might take care lest he thereby actually write the strange fanfic. And if you gaze for long into a foe, the foe gazes also into you."?

Ugh, I think I'm a Silvio fan now. :o

His story feels like a tragedy, in a way I'm not sure we see with any other character (at least not yet). For the few that come to mind: Yellow Qilin is at the end of her tragedy (or maybe I should give her more credit), Lady Leizi is moving on from hers, and Nora -- well, even a vague semblance of life is more than we expected for her!

But Silvio's tragedy has happened concurrent with this story's. And it's not over yet. We could have stopped it -- but look at us, and look at the votes -- we weren't going to. He is who he is, LL is who she is, the forces that govern this world are what they are... and it all adds up to tragedy. It feels inexorable, and all the more tragic for it.

Also yes, as I'm sure you're wondering, this was originally meant as the start of an exploration of various timelines where Silvio and Ellie meet and/or team up. Of course. But then I realized it might just work better as a character piece and I can always build off of it later as originally intended. God what have I done to myself and my muse.
