The fucking sigh of relief I just had when I logged on and saw that 11 after the 2 is probably not going to be matched within the year. Thank god for that Nat 20.
 
By the by, I'm surprised Leizi agreed to a live broadcast. Surely there was a program that would have agreed to tape, let JU look it over first, make ourselves look good? But less potential for plot drama.

Ehh... not likely. JU currently has a lot of eyes on them because of Crusade and the newest members. No self respecting media outlet would accepted a Tape (And ignoring the fact that tapes could be manipulated to makes us look bad) something "post production" would probably be received badly. Live or bust as they say.
 
Well, this has been a fun ride to catch up on. In coming days as I find myself with time I will likely throw a candidate and a recruit or two in (both based on characters I've written in the past and have not had the ability to continue their stories--spicybrain thing; the first as a survivor of a fictional small-country-revolution and the second either a "lucky" guy or one of a few different options). I might even throw some omakes around.

Every time I see "You Can Be More" my mind fills in with a certain soundtrack.

Scarlet Maturity's been a likeable villain -- I get Wreck-It-Ralph vibes off him somehow? Like if WiR went to college for business and spent four years in a frat and found a predatory lending scheme he liked or something and committed to being a "bad" guy. Also somehow Lady Leizi is giving me "what if Jessica Henwick mashed up Elle Woods from Heroes and an ex-Triad-variant of the titular character from Veronica Mars" vibes.

Speaking of Heroes: there's some interesting low-level powers there I'd love to throw into the pool here, if just to watch all the formula-concocters go nuts.

I find myself with a question for the @Bitterman : I realize Menagerie Witch has a 'magical' aesthetic, but we're operating on psionic-type-superhero-things and anything someone thinks is 'magical' actually has a psi-entific explanation of some kind? How much wiggle room does "powers are weird" have?

There is canonically a guy who claims to be a wizard and whose power is basically being able to cast true polymorph. It is commonly accepted there is a scientific explanation for powers, but 99% of them defy explanation. Even Valiant Silver, who had a superpower she devoted to understanding superpowers, just kinda gave up at a point and threw her hands up.

Some of the higher end poses I have planned may as well be magic!
 
Faust's power is effectively magic - being able to make contracts that both parties are psychologically obliged to follow? Come on! That effectively needs to adhere to human ideas of 'holding up my end of the deal'. That's nothing to do with science.
