Well, this has been a fun ride to catch up on. In coming days as I find myself with time I will likely throw a candidate and a recruit or two in (both based on characters I've written in the past and have not had the ability to continue their stories--spicybrain thing; the first as a survivor of a fictional small-country-revolution and the second either a "lucky" guy or one of a few different options). I might even throw some omakes around.
Every time I see "You Can Be More" my mind fills in with a
certain soundtrack.
Scarlet Maturity's been a
likeable villain -- I get Wreck-It-Ralph vibes off him somehow? Like if WiR went to college for business and spent four years in a frat and found a predatory lending scheme he liked or something and committed to being a "bad" guy. Also somehow Lady Leizi is giving me "what if Jessica Henwick mashed up Elle Woods from
Heroes and an ex-Triad-variant of the titular character from
Veronica Mars" vibes.
Speaking of
Heroes: there's some interesting low-level powers there I'd
love to throw into the pool here, if just to watch all the formula-concocters go nuts.
I find myself with a question for the
@Bitterman : I realize Menagerie Witch has a 'magical' aesthetic, but we're operating on psionic-type-superhero-things and anything someone thinks is 'magical' actually has a psi-entific explanation of some kind? How much wiggle room does "powers are weird" have?
