I mean, we have, like, three new Anti-Crusade debate tracts between "Silvio's scanner", "Silvio attempted to use a mental manipulation power on Ellie" and "White Hawk is a punk ass rookie who lost badly".
I think it's possible that the 'psychic interference' that the Exceed-Beyond armor detected is not something Silvio was trying to do to Ellie but something that's being effected on Silvio himself, and Ellie only sensed it because she touched him with the armor on and the influence is 'leaking' or something. That'd make him more sympathetic, I think.

...What I'd like to know is whether White Hawk got owned by us or by Monarch. That's the real question, here.

If that's the case, then there's a chance that he's getting his head slowly hacked by whatever's on the Stage. Instead of how Nora pulled from the Stage, he's getting pulled into the Stage— at least partially.

That's my theory at least.

I hate to disappoint, but he didn't get owned. He was just informed a worthy opponent appeared.

I guess we'll have to read and find out what that means.

On another note, here's my personal speculation on how the fight ends:
Okay, now this is getting good. The fight just ended without further checks. Mona's portage energy is too high. Nearly done.
"Portage" is someone's capacity to carry water craft or cargo across land. So presumably Mona's carrying something really heavy. Perhaps that drill is a kind of ship, or a bomb, and she just moved it somewhere else really fast, and that dissuaded Monarch from continuing the fight?

...Or maybe she was reminded of how SM hit her with a supertanker and decided to do something similar? That one sounds funnier.

It's probably just a reference to how Mona's combat capability and status as a P13 "carried" us through the battle, like how gamers use it, and we shouldn't think too hard about the literal definition.

I'm almost convinced we need to make a P13 hero with the explicit power of probability manipulation, regardless of how many Wolong forecasts it takes.
Going for the It Gets Worse power? Yeah, if we could get it without everything exploding that would probably wrap the quest because that kind of probability manipulation would either immediately win, or we'd all die as we fucked with something too great and got exploded for our trouble.

because like... at a high enough level that's the power that causes every single one of SM's clients to die within 30 seconds of each other at the same time SM coincidentally takes a fatal blow somehow. Causing him to try to collect... and find absolutely no one to collect from.

I'd personally like something like the MC of Undead Unluck's power… where while it takes a while to ramp up, once it gets to its highest level, we can summon meteors on Behemoths just because the meteor just so happened to be going that way.

My theory? Heracles may or may not be someone Mona can properly harm, but he *is* someone she can just fly up into space and leave them there. And it's really, really hard to counter "I can move at supersonic speeds on a dime."

. . . guys, I had a squirming toddler in one arm and my phone autocorrected "protagonist". . .

Also since I only just caught up I noticed something very... concerning.

Name: Apiary, Rosemary Ward
Power: Transformation, Matter Conversion, Construct Creation

Name: Printemps, Jean-Luc Villeneuve
Power: Construct Creation, Energy Manipulation, Transmutation

Apiary's Matter conversion is the same red as transmutation, which is the same red as Printemps Potency, which was boosted by SM.

There is a connection here. I doubt SM was boosting Apiary, so... is his boost actually some kind of transmutation/conversion effect? Something that makes them a node of his, perhaps?

At the moment, we're assuming Red tags mean extreme danger, in one way or another. In Apiary's case, her power allowed her to consume organic matter and use it to make drones that served as a hive mind. She was potentially a one-woman apocalypse.

In Printemps' case, I'm guessing that the red is a signifier of both how exactly his power was boosted by Scarlet Maturity, and of the fact that there's some kind of connection between the two. My personal guess is that the connection is a two-way one, with Scarlet Maturity offering a steady stream of power in a predetermined way, and he can forcibly close that connection, taking the energy of the contractee away in addition to no longer supplying them, resulting in them dying. Though again, that's just how I think this works. I could very well be wrong.

If it was just extreme danger it feels like other things would also be tagged.

I'm split between red is actually a (hostile?) entity we are unaware of that SM is effectively, and probably unknowingly, acting as an agent to spread. SM and Apiary were just metahumans it managed to infect directly, for unknown reasons. Or is red is the tag on Foreign elements to powers.

Well, aside from using Rosemary's or Printemps' DNA, another way of finding out or at least eliminating one possibility is choosing the Apiary Fill-in Issue, which I'm honestly pretty inclined to currently. I get that Radiant Silvergirl's and Interlocutor look spicy as well, but I'm pretty curious on what's up with Defiance Unit and Scarlet Maturity. Perhaps we'll gain some insight about the Red keywords we've never thought of before
