Every hero is an experiment, in that we're learning new things about synergies every time we do something with them. At some point, an experiment might 'fail' (in that it's not what we expect, not that it isn't good. Lord knows both Rhys and Mona were surprises.)

Yes, every one of these is an experiment, but there's a difference between doing calculated guesses that should still be making a coherent build even if a tag or two drop or we guess wrong on a synergy vs trying to spread an idea too thinly. That build idea is rocking every tag as a 1x while trying to synergy fish even though that leaves dropped tags as a much more potential major issue alongside just not having any directly defensive power here.

Yeah, the speed and teleporting help but Fast Track's power came with a pretty explicit downside that wants some kind of durability power for getting as wide of a usecase as possible, while a primarily utility/support style character is likely to be targeted down to make the rest of our characters easier to take out. And if adding some kind of defensive power, it runs into the tag issue still as it leaves a pretty small amount of options to work with from there as this is an expensive build core for 7 tolerance.

We're still fairly early here, and we're not at the point where we can afford to not be very deliberate in what we're making yet. I think its a very solid core for sure, just not for a 7 tolerance build.

Warpstar has some sort of space-based power, I'm certain. Acid Rain is also pretty clearly an acid-based (HAH! Cuz basic is the opposite of acidic!) one.

What the hell kind of power do you think Stitches has, though?

With his daughter's help, Dr. Mammoth Ibis can either finish one dose of Ambrosia at the beginning of an Issue, or two at the mid-point of an Issue.
Do you know what this means ?
If we manage to nab Yara as a candidate during Hero Worship, we can Sugar her and have her be given powers right at the beginning of next Issue.
Meaning we go into Issue 4 with 3 Potency 13s on our side.

I can't help, but think that we may cause something like a inflation of metahuman, once we got a stady incomes of money and G9.
Think of the concept of hard money. Metahumans are hard to get, since you can only be born as one. So that's made any metahumans very valuable, even them with low power. But once we start making more metahumans, and Project Prometheus maybe become public knowledge, than the values of metahumans become less.

The ability to manufacture Metahumans becoming public brings the funny outcome of "Arm races".

We are basically the only one able to make nukes on demand, no one else can and anyone else would like us to stop manufacturing nukes unchecked.

Hey, did we get the +1 to OID control from the Four Seasons mission last turn ? Because it's not on our character sheet.
Who's Left Behind (AP 2, HIT 6, ESPIONAGE 5, REPUTATION 4): Les Quatre Saisons, or The Four Seasons as they were better known, were a four-person hero team with powers themed around the seasons. They were also all family members. Which makes the death of Automne, their youngest and most powerful member, all the more painful. The team is desperately proud, so the fact they're requesting a meeting and possible alliance with you means they must truly be in dire straits. You can give them a meeting, if for Automne's memory if nothing else.
Lady Leizi: Été sent a message demanding a meeting with her usual insulting demeanor. I believe she blames us for her sister's death and is seeking to extort money. Hiver, oddly enough, sent an extremely unusual private message with a more conciliatory tone: "To be honest, I'm sorry about my cousin. Really isn't the way to talk to people. About the meeting, I hope you won't worry about it. Perhaps we can meet again another time."
(Chance of recruiting Hiver, Intel about Powers, Chance of intel about Scarlet Maturity's true power, Chance of new metahuman DNA, Chance of Income, Chance of +1 to control of OID) [1 Turns Until Expiration]

Do Mendicant's symbiotes work on Mona, given that she doesnt have flesh?

Contestestant #2 was definetly* Silvio in disguise and he's about to go rogue. He'll still blame JU for everything, but "everything" will include the US govts centuries of misdeeds.

*source: I think it would be funny

Hmm Since it seems likey for Psychic question and JohnX2 , E 1 to win

Plan Tag Team Energy

Memoria(4P)+Chatroom(4P)+Mr Hunch(1P)+ Millions Minefield(1P) = 10P

Keywords:
Clairvoyance X3
Teleportation X1
Ally Empowerment X1
Energy Manipulation X1

Tag Team Plan but adds Millions Energy manipulation to give John Combat power through creating energy mines. Now QM could change how Millions power expresses itself but its lock in as Solo Keyword.

This Gives us a Telepathic Teleporter with Energy Attacks for Combat. I Know Arcus was talking about John not being able to defend himself if hes a Teleporter but this Energy Attacks along wiht just being able to teleport away should keep John safe and Useful.

Huh I just realized, if John and Noelle both debut in Cenotaph/Meet the Rookies, Wed have 7 Members same as the OG JU.

LMAO that means in everyones eyes JU got reduced to a Single member and then in a span of 2-3 Months rebuild itself back to full rooster. With a Heavy Hitter who could kill SM and Valiant Silver's successor.

You can see why Crusade is scared despite starting the fight and why Philosophers dont think a straight attack isnt a good idea and going for pr attacks and public pressure to reveal our plans.

I would like to specify something that I didn't before: Godspeed Core was meant to be just that: a powerful core. Something that can be built around with cheap 1-2 cost powers, like how we built around Novalight. We still can add both Soldier X and Steadfast for more durability, or Mr. Hunch to lean into a HIT-OPS hybrid.

Also, another thing: I wasn't considering Fast Track's weakness because I was assuming that it would work like this.

Possible Distance you would have been able to cover using Total Speed Absorbed=Possible Teleporting Radius.

Granted, I could be wrong, but I just really wanna synergy fish. Experiments!

[X] Two spoonfuls (JH x 2)
[X] . . . if he has any insight into psychic or anti-psychic synergies?

I want to save some cash and I think anti-psychic stuff could be very useful for us in general.

Even if our enemies get ahold of Project Prometheus, they would still inherit one of our own problems - namely, the necessity of goldnine as part of the process.
Unless they outright steal the complete blueprints for it, I'm not sure they could quickly reverse engineer the process if they only learn the general strokes of it. Nora was an Algernon who specialized in metahuman powers and drove herself into rebound working on it among other things. Other Algernons we know of are already mature in other fields, and Stockpile spent a decent chunk of his life on merely reverse engineering EXCEED.

Of course opposing orgs will put their top researchers into it but unless they have fresh Algernons to spare I think the initial issue from revealing it will be enemies using that knowledge to handicap Justice Unlimited until they can get their own programs online. And they pretty much have to or we're going to rapidly become too powerful for them.

Either by finding and blockading any further supply of goldnine to us, or by creating another PR storm stating that Justice Unlimited is smuggling a known world-ending substance just so they can make their own private army of metahumans that isn't accountable to anyone.

I'm kind of wondering about this combination of powers: [[Mister Hunch]] + [[Multiplex]] + [[Dragonsteeth]]. Basically some sort of technopathy/engineering focused powerset that can freely manipulate and analyse inanimate/technological creations, control a bunch of constructs and also spy through them.
Just realized something about this artificer build: we can probably turn it up more with Fast Track + Steadfast. It would be 10 Potency, but the build in theory seems solid. Super-speed invincible constructs, plus clairvoyance to be able to chart a path where you're actually going.

Actually, y'know what? I'm gonna put this as a full-fledged plan.

Accel Artificer
  • Potency 3 (Dragonsteeth) + Potency 3 (Fast Track) + Potency 2 (Steadfast) + Potency 1 (Multiplex) + Potency 1 (Mister Hunch) - Potency 3=Potency 7.
    • 1x Transformation
      • Multiplex had the power to change his form to a copy of any inanimate object who did not exceed his body's mass.
    • 1x Energy Manipulation
      • Dragonsteeth could "seed" energy that could eventually become her contructs, but only up to a certain limit.
    • 1x Construct Creation
      • Dragonsteeth could create non-sentient soldiers that would follow orders.
    • 1x Invulnerability
      • Steadfast has the most potent form of invulnerability on record. He cannot be injured in any way.
    • 1x Ally Enhancement
      • Fast Track could transfer the speed he stole to someone else.
    • 1x Self-Enhancement
      • Fast Track could transfer his stolen speed to himself.
    • 1x Enhanced Speed
      • Fast Track could run at high speeds. However, he had no defensive capabilities.
    • 1x Clairvoyance
      • By touching an inanimate object, Mister Hunch can see everything that happened around said object in the last 24 hours.
Some notes:
-Multiplex could probably be cut for Millions Minefield or Daggermaw, so that we can either hit more synergies or go for extra consistency. I believe that [Enhanced Senses] probably combos with [Construct Creation] for [Autonomous Construct Creation], so that's interesting. We could also replace Mister Hunch, since we already have enough ESPIONAGE with Rhys and Lady Leizi. However at that point it's a different build, so no.
-However, if Multiplex is kept, there's a good chance that this build swings more towards Self-Enhancement over Ally Empowerment.

-The intent is to make a crap-ton of constructs, which we can then speed up (Ally Empowerment) at will. Ultra-fast Self-Enhancement dude (with ultra-fast weapons, to boot) is more likely however, since Bitterman has said that he doesn't want too much overlap with Maddie. A powerful speedster, that can start running immediately using Dragonsteeth's energy instead of having to absorb speed.
It could also be the other way: Dragonsteeth + Fast Track makes constructs using other people's speed.
-Mister Hunch could allow John to chart out a path before running, which prevents any accidental run-ins. Also good in case we can make those constructs.
-Fast Track + Steadfast is just good. No explanation needed.

I was fiddling around with builds assuming we raise John Henry to Tolerance 7, and came up with the following to add onto the Tag Team build.

Relays
  • Potency 4 (Memoria) + Potency 4 (iSpy) + Potency 1 (Millions Minefield) + Potency 1 (Mister Hunch) - Potency 3 = Potency 7
    • 3x Clairvoyance (Memoria, iSpy, Mister Hunch)
      • Memoria can take photos of a location that will display a real-time feed of said location. Only 5 of these photos can be used at any time.
      • iSpy can tag up to a dozen people and see through their eyes and other senses.
      • By touching an inanimate object, Mister Hunch can see everything that happened around said object in the last 24 hours.
    • 1x Teleportation (Memoria)
      • Memoria can teleport himself and others freely to the location depicted in a photo he's taken. Only 5 of these photos can be used at any time.
    • 1x Energy Manipulation (Millions Minefield)
      • Millions Minefield can redirect and absorb energy to be stored in explosive orbs whose size he can control. The bigger the orb, the greater the explosion.
    • 1x Invisibility (iSpy)
      • iSpy can turn invisible.

This power set is about increasing the range and combat ability of the teleportation build. With Mister Hunch, even inanimate objects can be tagged and used as cameras and points of teleportation. There's probably a limit to this of only 5 inanimate objects at a time, but that can be compensated for with iSpy seeing through a dozen pairs of eyes.

Also we can make those relays explode.

Life Saver
  • Potency 4 (Memoria) + Potency 4 (iSpy) + Potency 2 (Steadfast)- Potency 3 = Potency 7
    • 1x Teleportation (Memoria)
      • Memoria can teleport himself and others freely to the location depicted in a photo he's taken. Only 5 of these photos can be used at any time.
    • 2x Clairvoyance (Memoria, iSpy)
      • Memoria can take photos of a location that will display a real-time feed of said location. Only 5 of these photos can be used at any time.
      • iSpy can tag up to a dozen people and see through their eyes and other senses.
    • 1x Invulnerability (Steadfast)
      • Steadfast had the most potent form of invulnerability on record. He could not be harmed, starved, or even drowned.
    • 1x Invisibility (iSpy)
      • iSpy can turn invisible.
This one really only has Steadfast as an addition. This is potentially better than a shield buff, since rather than taking hits, Life Saver makes sure the attack or the force it would impart simply gets teleported away somewhere else. It can probably only work for a limited number of attacks (5 maybe?), but the ability to use teleportation defensively by either teleporting the person out of harm's way or teleporting the attack away is very potent for survivability. Not everyone can be BS after all!

Also on the note of the build I just made: I have a feeling that [Construct Creation, Ally Empowerment, and Energy Manipulation] all combo together. Not sure into what, but Transmutation or some Construct Creation+ sort of thing is what I think it would be.

We are going to be broke af (in more ways than one) Opale is going to have fun with our paperwork...
