This almost feels callous. Refusing to compromise our values, and possibly damning all the MGs if we can't resolve the train event chain fast enough. But, it's still the best of some shit choices. Ellie may thank us - 'Justice Unlimited' MGs won't.

I do hope LL was savvy enough to record this whole ass confession, and that YQ was paranoid enough to build up more 'mana' than the other MGs were aware of.

So extorting was already dubious due to the way it looks, even if we framed it as for the girls but the stats kill it. We are never abandoning Ellie here.

Going loud I think we should only do if we are very comfortable on Ronin being an ally here despite working with Crusade, its a DC 13 action with 15 Hit. Leizi has 5 hit, so we'd be rolling with a -5. Even if putting in a full 5 points it'd just bring it back down to being a raw DC 13 hit without any bonii being possible. Ellie would help this slightly but she's very low hit so only barely.

So either we pop 6k income for the goldnine as a clear blackmail as our backup option or we take the pretty big initial risk to try and cap this now, so that Monarch gets put into a worse position.

I think there is a lot of nuance to each option that isn't being considered. It isn't to say you should vote in any particular way, but I think there are consequences to every action that people haven't thought through and I don't want people feeling like I'm being unfair.

Probably. You could, still, and announce a reset of votes via a temporary threadmark if you feel like it's going to be bad for the longterm quest health.
 
Hmm in terms of stats pressing luck is viable. Use the Goldnine to get Yara Next Turn for P13 online and take them down with BS. along with buying time for ellie girls.

We dont have fastpass to have Noeele reach 10 though for exceed.

That said I really do feel like just nipping this in the bud with Crusade here were gonna git demonized either way.

Okay, I should have placed a moratorium on this vote here as there's a LOT going on. My mistake as a rookie QM. I will pause voting until tomorrow and reset the votes then. I will make a new thread mark when votes are open.
 
Honestly feel like paying her and getting a regular supply of blood to make more heroes. She is not going question why we need so much because she thinks its for the magical girls.

Because as things stand she's a fucking looney tune, and Crusade is willfully blind that these are literal triads holding literal children hostage because "REEEE JUSTICE UNLIMITED!" Which means negotiating means they've got actionable data on us, but even attacking will have actionable data because they'll say we hurt children and.

The real problem is fucking Ronin is apparently ride or die for this, given she's still fucking here even after she goes on "Lol I'm going to hold the world hostage and clearly nothing will go wrong with this."

So, like, what the fuck else is there?

How do you stop fucking crazy with anything other than not letting them continue this game?

What other choice Is there? There doesn't seem to be nuance here, rather than "Another faction, completely independently decides to Fuck Justice Unlimited Over, and everyone else will back it to the hilt, but because they own the Discourse the worst interpretation will fall on us." All the other actions are kicking the can down the road and letting things get even worse.

Come On, give me a hope spot here! Literally Everyone is collaborating to kick us in the shortribs happily, except the people who are powerless to begin with! Crusade has literally just walked in and said "Lol we're okay with this going on because it makes you look bad", and it's pretty god damn obvious that this is a fucking top tier, apocalypse tier atrocity going on

Hmm if we succeed in Pressing our Luck, we should be able to have Yara and 1 other candidate juized up next turn. If we can finish the R-Train questline we can take care of the girls.

Also while we may not be able to take down this guys we should be able to research how to save the girls from the throne.

Edit: Agree with Alectai yeh which is why I;m still on Loud plan. The only thing I consider a problem is not having ND or BS to help here.

Frankly my argument is that if we don't punch them in the face we're going to give Crusade more ammo. And nobody wants that. We punch them in the face now we can make crusade look stupid in addition to…. Just being good people.

We can negotiate with the R-Train, we can get the goldnine. Things work out.
 
Oh yeah, we gotta publicize this. Specifically, the fact that Crusade was a-okay with children being devoured by Leviathan/the Frozen Throne, if it meant they could try and scapegoat Justice Unlimited.

Did we record this conversation? Probably not, but even without Uiara's stellar rep we got Justice Unlimited's name backing us against the hyper-rich-backed Crusade, so this should be another easy win in public relations. Gotta go on the offensive and put them of the back foot, after all.

Damn, I was just going to advocate blackmailing her with her involvement in the Ghost Triad, but that's even better. Lady Leizhi has some serious mental discipline to not fall over laughing when she saw Ronin, nevermind not even explicitly thinking it.
 
I mean, didn't Qilin basically say "You sent Ronin the information of where the bases were, didn't you?", plus the comment about the charcuterie board and bouquet for killing her dad.
 
This also explain why Brass had to go along with the rest of the team. Gonna need a proper cover after this and might need to take a rep hit for Ronis cover.
 
So, this update definitely explains why having New Dawn working on this would have resulted in Noelle having a hard time trusting us. Even if they pledged to do better in terms of treating their teammates well and their leader not being a turbo bitch like Novalight was, the scars from their prior actions, or lack thereof, wouldn't be easy to overcome, especially without any warning that they'd be meeting.

I mean, there was that time when we walked up to New Dawn and Wukong said "Oh my god please save us, we're so cooked without you, I'll give you anything, I'll be your faithful servant" and we said "Ok" and he did exactly that and just helped us get the underwater stash. And we might have had a similar deal with the-meta-now-known-as-Red-White-and-Blue if we'd bothered to devote the action. So, not everyone hates us.

p.s. I predicted that the girls were being powered by frozen throne and goldnine was their meds but I didn't comment it because I wasn't sure if it was supposed to be a twist or not. Source: trust me bro

p.p.s. wow Nova sucked, I thought she was just short-sighted
