The only thing that stops Metahumans going on a tear is that control of Horizon and Leviathan seems to be so important as the potential source of superpowers that everything gets placed in the backdrop. If someone actually managed to fully control Horizon world domination is not only possible, but feasible.

So I have a question that could have potentially very interesting (in the Chinese curse sense) implications on why Lady Leizi's father's old Triad members are here.

How many of the former members know about Leizi defecting to Justice Unlimited, and actually believe it?

Because what if this is some twisted way for a former Triad member to prove that they can be useful to Leizi now that she doesn't have to "pretend" to be a hero anymore?
 
Id buy it people can be really stupid and into their own delusion at times. As long as it benefits them.

Granted that might only apply here since Leizi survived and there would be different reason if another JU member survived.

Then they're morons, because if she was evil she'd kill them anyway for pulling this shit. And Foxglove is terrified, so whatever they think they're doing they know that Lady Leizhi won't like it one bit.
 
Foxglove has pretty decent powers. Probably Mental and ELement since pollens that lead to hallucinations. A good addition to our samples.

Edit: Foxglove is probably the new Dna but I wonder where the +3000 income will comre from. Them trying to bribe us or us looting their base?

I mean, this setup feels extremely brittle?

Like, they pulled this off because nobody had the time to look closely, and blinded LL by way of going "Okay, absolutely nobody who isn't part of The Show gets to see what's happening.", a kind of brute force form of counter-intelligence that goes "You can't spy on me if there are no witnesses who aren't part of the game", you know? And that simply can't be scaled to any significant degree.

But she got JU's shit together relatively quickly, before they were done. I'd like to say that this should work our well, but there's still too many unknowns here to be sure, especially since Something fucky is going on for them to have a reliable, untracable source of goldnine apparently, and be fucking around with the Frozen Throne without getting eaten by it. Neither of these should be possible, yet both are happening.
 
Yeh thats the biggest in how the hell they bypass R-Train and not get eaten by the Throne. Though I wonder if the Philosophers were alway behind the Ghost Triad or tehy just took them in after their leader died.

Granted its possible someone else is responsible for monarch and this MG show. With philosophers having nothing to do with them apart from taking advantage of situations.

Like, wasn't it all but stated that the R-Train just Knows whenever goldnine is fucked with and lasers in on the offender with incredible prejudice? So who the fuck is crazy enough and clever enough to manage to outwit that Panopticon when we were practically told there was zero chance of us getting any significant amount of the stuff that wasn't already in circulation without going through them? Especially for something that basically everyone knows is an apocalypse substance anyway?

Like, LL is all about the espionage shenanigans, and she can't even dream of a way of getting around the R-Train's panopticon on the topic even when it's of utmost importance to recovery, and only has what sources were presumably already cleared by them that she can find lying around. So how are these chucklefucks getting access to it in significant enough degrees that they have a surplus even when they're actively using it? They've got more than we do for goodness sake!

Does that mean the R-Train is a collaborator with this business? Is that how they're doing it?
 
With a good psychic its possible. That said if I remember right it does need a signifant amount of Goldnine before R-Train is able to detect it.

Maybe there just keeping the amount of goldnine they have just below the thresholds to not be detected the MG's do need to use the goldnine regularly to keep themselves from monsterizing.

The R-Train also detects the energy emitted when goldnine coverts matter into more of itself, not the actual goldnine itself, which is how you guys can have some without inviting its wrath. It also hunts down anyone it detects taking it out of the QZ, which is nearly everyone who tries.

That would suggest they know exactly what the threshold is for the R-Train to notice, and that's Concerning in itself, because the R-Train is very heavily incentivized to obscure the exact degree of how much gets their attention.

Like, I don't see how they can get this much goldnine without the R-Train's tactic approval of the operation at a minimum, if this isn't straight up the R-Train backing this in the first place. The only alternative would be that they can freely come and go through the Frozen Throne, which they effectively use as a smuggling route to get past the R-Train, and that... Uh, that's a feat just as ridiculous as getting past the R-Train in the first place, if not moreso. And that raises the question again as to "How the fuck did anyone pull this off when everyone else who drops in there is never seen again?"

Nah looks like tehy just make sure the goldnine doesnt make more of itself. Thoguh how tehyre getting G9 out of the QZ without R-train recking them is still a question.

If they're somehow smuggling through the Frozen Throne (Which I think borders the QZ), that would do it. The R-Train wouldn't bother putting eyes there because anyone who tries to sneak through it is never going to be seen again anyway, and presumably they lost enough of their drones or whatever they use to monitor from its regular expansion that they don't keep the cordon quite as airtight around it.

But that raises even further questions, because some very brilliant minds have given up on doing anything about that, so how did these chucklefucks find a reliable way of going through it? And apparently repeatedly?
