Algernon-type is a catch-all for those superhumans whose powers are more on the purely mental/creating side of things, and whom suffer "Rebound" when they overuse it. I think prisoner is meant to get the "JU" to misplay since it gives them a supposed position of power. Which is also why failing it makes them hostile.

As someone whose only experience with Puella Magi Madoka Magica is cultural osmosis of the general plot, this sounds suspiciously similar to that. The fact that the funny magic rock is literally described as being made of ice and is snaking that ice through their body is not helping them beat these allegations.

I am curious about how that confrontation is going to go. Will Foxglove try to justify herself? Will she beg? Was the money too good? Was she threatened into doing this? And even if Double-L is somehow willing to put aside the grudges of the past, once the truth comes out about what's been happening to these poor girls, will the possiblity for mercy even enter her mind?

It also doesn't help much that not only did it seem like Justice Unlimited is responsible for creating the spin-off team with magical girls, only for it to be a PMMM plot except instead of despair it's Frozen Throne shenanigans, There's also all that stuff going on with Crusade with rumors of Valiant Silver being responsible for the Movement. No wonder there's a "Crusade might show up" in this mission. We better hope they don't or they're gonna have a field day
