There's 40.000 Metahumans on Horizon, WTF. Even if most are low-level, that's a lot of people with powers like Mr Hunch or Millions Minefield.

that would mean tleast either 50 million in Horizon or a 1 in 1000 metahuman awakening... .
I assume it is like most people just prefer to keep their head down. And metahumans that fight end up killed a lot of the time in a world where media companies don't keep onn bringing you back. There's 40.000 Metahumans on Horizon, WTF. Most are like Chaucer—don't even really rate in the scale and can do low-level things. It's also not uncommon to be a metahuman and not even realize it.There's 40.000 Metahumans on Horizon, WTF. Even if most are low-level, that's a lot of people with powers like Mr Hunch or Millions Minefield.
I was gonna tell you about his secret weakness, but okay . . .😞You know, when Scarlet Maturity eventually gets off his leash and we have to fight him again, I wonder if this line of attack would rankle him (don't answer this one Bitterman I'm just starting a discussion):
OH yeah! Love some of that reflexive talk that makes villans doubt themselves. Though, dunno about Mona, one could argue she has lucked into a high tolerance or something (still not comparable to SM of course)It's easy to think might makes right when you lucked into power. Mona didn't luck into being a metahuman. She wasn't born fated, she became a hero by stepping up and doing the right thing.
Or to put it in a funnier way…
SM: Everyone does. Luck that allowed you to have power, a life from the many eggs and sperm, the species being human, even not dying from the sheer randomness of living that all is luck. The world doesn't inherently owe us anything for where we are anymore than it owes us or we owe it for what happened to us good or bad. We all have to deal with what we are now and have been.Or to put it in a funnier way…
Mona/Noelle/Max Tolerance! Candidate: You're a goofy ass motherfucker, we all know here that you just got lucky on the superpower gacha.
SM: (…fuck, they're right.)
Well, you have a good point. We also have this tho in case that don't work.I have problems with making fun of people because of their origins. But I don't think this is a good avenue of attack.
pull out Leizi's guilt and Maddie's grief into a bomb and chuck it at SM in the hopes that we Sorrow from MGS3 him, making him feel shame for all the lives he's taken, Apiary's included.
Well, for Scarlet Maturity he can just get people to die in his place so he can be a battle-crazed thrill seeker all he wants without the actual risk of permanent death. And he even benefits from dying. Faust is a chessmaster type, so whenever he loses a match he just goes to plan his next move.but a type that shows up in stories where it's borderline suicidal ideation
Scarlet Maturity wanted to fight Catch-22 despite the real risk of loss, especially since Nora won by using a hitherto-unforeseen power nullification ability. And Hand during the Philosopher's meeting took Faust's argument seriously instead of reacting like he was talking out of his ass. Not impossible they have a meltdown later about it, of course. But even in private settings they seem to be acting like that, so it's my opinion for now. The Yankee's game might change this significantly, of course.Well, for Scarlet Maturity he can just get people to die in his place so he can be a battle-crazed thrill seeker all he wants without the actual risk of permanent death. So while a fight with even odds is entertaining to them, and they can accept losses gracefully, I don't expect them to leave home without their insurance policies, or to take a fight where their neck was truly on the line for the sake of "risking it all against a worthy opponent" like some of the more zealous characters along that archetype do.
It's funny, because two of Scarlet Maturity's chief inspirations are:I mean I can't say i don't understand SM
I mean who amongst us has not wanted to stand atop the mountain peak as the strongest being
Never. fighting is fun. Being on the peak though is unintersting.I mean I can't say i don't understand SM

Fair but my brain works on disco elesim/Homer Simpson rulesNever. fighting is fun. Being on the peak though is unintersting.
Although personally the idea that thereyoou are on top doesn't means you are invincible . I just can't imagine unbeatability
I'm really looking forward to it; I'm a huge magical girl afficianado (I've watched something like 16 different series) and I'm eager to see what those mahous are like.Update tomorrow night. Finally happy with it! Between 6-7k words!
Also, I just got a briliant idea: animals can get metahuman powers right ? Like Quick Gorilla. What if we go find Valiant Kabuto, enhance them via A Spoonful of Sugar or have Dr. Ibis do something to their neuro-plasticity, and then give them EXCEED-BEYOND ? And then they go punch that poser Stockpile in the face before Kamen posing on his fallen body.
QUICK GORILLA is something of an anomaly. No one really understands how he has powers; he's the only non-human ever known to do so. And unfortunately, Valiant Kabuto is only two feet tall; he can't even fit in the EXCEED-BEYOND armor. Also, I just got a briliant idea: animals can get metahuman powers right ? Like Quick Gorilla.
