BTW can i just say how fitting it is that Stockpile is probably gonna be most driven public enemy of JU in fallowing issues.

Black Swan and Stockpile Rivalry. 2 metahumans of the generation at the highest Possible Potency.

One born with his Power capable of changing the world and choose GJ to protect people. The other chosen by JU to succeed them and given power to worthy of battling for the Strongest.

Now both will fight for their own brand of Justice.

Amazing narrative beats tbh. The fact Mona will probably meet Silvio in prevail just makes things even more spicy.

They're the same age, even! If it weren't for the "want to kiss a girl" bit from the last update, I might even ship them, though their dynamic will have to be seen first.

"Now, come, Black Swan. Chaucer and Dr. Ibis will be interested to hear what you think we should do next."

"Umm, okay. But, uh, you'll be helping too right? 'Cuz, I'm new and stuff. . ."

"Relax," you say, "Just think of it like an orientation."

"O-orientation? Oh, I'm bisexual. I've had a few boyfriends, but I've never dated a girl before. They look . . . soft? Hey, wait! Lady Leizi, why are you laughing? Where are you going? Come back!"

Still going to have to wait on how their personalities actually clash. After all, aside from her actual superpowers, Mona's superpower is just being blazingly, blindingly sincere and kind and sweet. Even Scarlet Maturity mentioned that! I'm not going to bank money on it, but if Mona being Mona at Stockpile doesn't move his "They're evil!" needle in the slightest, I'll be shocked.

Wait so just to clarify we will get the Fill-in Issue #2 (Interlude 2) this Sunday? And then the start of Issue #3 a few days after that?

Lol if that does happen then he'll think JU is just using her and he'll try to convince her to come to the side of 'good' 😂

I made a note:

Three members of Slayers (Chaucer himself, Abigail/Opale's fiancee, and this Bloody Slayer) had "Slayer" inside their hero names (Thunder Slayer, Giant Slayer, Bloody Slayer). That doesn't seem to have been a hard and fast rule but it did show up a few times!

PREVAIL (Wolong, Crusade, ?????? ???,?????,??? ????)

Does the name "Crusade" ring any bells? Have we seen it before?

Actually, where did this new DNA even come from?? From what I remember, for Maddie's action, we're just trying to figure out who her legal guardian should be, while Mona's action is apparently spying on her mother and Chaucer's date. Neither of those seem like activities we'd be getting DNA from unless something went seriously off script.

Another girl sits in a gilded cage, bandaging the only person she thinks she can trust.

Belle Sabreuse fended off the most recent of her would-be abductors, but took a bullet in the ribs for her trouble. The metahuman assures the girl that she will not abandon her—the girl's sister paid her very well to protect her.
Also something to ponder, the sister's protector already just took a bullet to the ribs this week protecting her here. I do wonder if part of the expiration is based around the protector getting further injured or dying due to getting overwhelmed. One of the arguments for doing this next week as part of a big push is that we might prevent the sister from losing the only person she can trust again, right after her lifeline in her sister got killed.

I went back and checked Towarri's posthumous video message.

Her tattoo, mark, was a star.

So, here's my call:

Each of these guys-Faust/Crown-Over-Moon, Lantern, Star, Sun, Key, Hand, Fish, possibly Speaker as well-is a cell leader.

That means that Star was Towarri's trainer, boss, surrogate father, whatever.

Faust is the outward PR guy, the head of Dominion. Lantern is the spymaster. Star was the child soldier mill.
wait. had a thought. what if. towarri. was star's 'genuinely ignorant predecessor'

Ambrosia Plan: Valkyria

This plan is my intuitive best guess on how we get a powerful telepathy/psychic that doesn't necessarily need us to use one of our limited high-end candidates who we're saving Zeno, Apiary, Man O' War, or Autumne for (so, 7 or under).

Chatroom (4) + Miss Conception (3) + Eastwood (2) + Hunch (1) = 10 - 3 = 7

I'm not necessarily going to go into the tags as in depth as some of my other friends have. My plan is going to be a little more esoteric, a little more dependent on the underlying 'focus' of the powersets involved. As I said, I'm operating on intuition, though there is a logic to my decision making process.

Firstly, Chatroom is the obvious baseline. She gives allies communicative telepathy. She's the supporting part of this.

Miss Conception's focus is on illusion and deception. With her, I'm hoping the capacity for a psychic deception-an aura of "Not my problem" or ignorance, like the Charm ability from the Second Sight video game.

Eastwood is there to strengthen the mental aspect, have power for emotional manipulation, and an attack vector since she actively created bombs of emotion.

Hunch is there to add some extra investigative oomph.

Honestly for psychic its probably best to just ask wulong to work on finding us a psychic synergy.

Grabted even with Synergy we still need to find a proper combo to give us what we want.

Mona is bullshit because Novalights powers work really well with CS blasting same with flight and Invulnerability letting her reach lightspeed with Regen giving her stamina and ability to reach Hypernova mode.

So for powerful psychic we need synergy and dna.

Now this ought to be interesting. What sort of DNA could we have gotten as a result of this?

While attempting to fight in the death brawl for guardianship of Maddie, Chauncer trips and falls and realizes that his old friends from SLAYERS left their t-shirts in his suitcase or smth idk :V
