There was a couple of Harry Potter stories on fanfiction.net that did something similar to this and I love them too. In those two cases it doesn't really feel like Harry Potter, more like an all-powerful dude joining up with magical cowboys and a mafia respectively, but something about him just wandering into a junkyard and fixing it up always is a fun time for me.

I wish more people with a repair ability would take advantage of the stupidly easy way of making money. It's good for your wallet and the environment!
imagine how much you could charge for road repairs? especially in america

Honestly, I think Izuku with just Prestidigitation would have been a nightmare to fight. Add Berserk and Hate? Then not even his small size will matter.

"Of course you are." Aizawa sighed, rubbing at his eyes. "Somehow, I'm not- What?"

Gran Torino couldn't exactly answer the boy, his eyes were focused on what he'd just seen as well.

In the distance, the little compact truck that he'd figured the dragon would use to show off how strong it was, or possibly a fire-breathing aspect of its Quirk... Was repaired.

Literally. Right in front of their eyes.

"Did that just-" The boy at Sorahiko's side started to speak.

"Yeah." And Gran Torino cut him off, his eyes wide at the sight.

"But that's not-"

"No, it's not." There were technology Quirks galore. Repairing Quirks, too. None of them behaved like that, though!

"We need to call Nedzu." Aizawa whispered, his phone already in his hand. Gran Torino left him to it, a far more important question on his mind.

How many Quirks, Spells, whatever did that thing have? More importantly...

Where had it gotten them?
You cut this scene too soon, I was looking forward to seeing their reactions when Izuku starts replicating Alec's abilities, and that Alec is teaching Izuku how to use his abilities.

When is it gonna click for them that it's not quirks? And that he's really not human but he's actually a dragon?

There's someone with a Quirk that makes their head a cartoon speech bubble. There's not a lot that magic can do that Quirks can't, and Alec having an extremely powerful meta-Quirk is more likely from their point of view than him having magic. At least, until people realize he's literally from another universe.

And honestly, does it REALLY matter if they call it a quirk? I don't think the Origin of quirks was ever revealed, so eventually, throwing their hands in the air and classifying it as a dual
Mutation/ REALITY MANIPULATION quirk might just be about the most accurate definition possible with their nomenclature and verbiage.

"Nemuri just caught that blood drinking girl by doing exactly that."

:D Yay! Toga is on the scene!

And I picture Midnight wearing a trench coat whose inside is lined with baggies of candy.

Midnight: "I'm surprised how easily it worked."
Toga: (nibbling on a lollipop) "ON NOM NOM!!!"

"Another construction job. The pay's good, at least."

Speaking of making money via [Repair], doesn't Ochako Uraraka's partners own a small construction business?

Construction equipment is very expensive to fix, so Alec magically casting [Repair] on their machines would be a massive money-saver, saving them millions of yen (several thousands of dollars?).

honestly i still dont think they got it that this is a guy you need to nuke as an alpha strike or go home
Except that won't work, either. He has several spells that allow him to prevent his own death after the fact, several spells he can emulate that can resurrect him, and even if you somehow manage all of that, he can have two bodies at once (both of which need to be destroyed, and he can renew the effect at will if one dies), each of which can be an arbitrary distance apart -- even on opposite sides of the galaxy, if he wants.

Can it though? It can't by raw, so i assumed that came when he broke limits on it...

Considering the limitations of Final Fantasy Two, that's not especially surprising.

I can say, however, that the Teleport spell works on various Golem enemies. Some may be resistant to the 'Element' of Teleport but they're not immune.

Sometimes I just like pointing out that Alchemist could have done things better if he wasn't blinded by his own biases. Mr.Perfect is Mr.Boring, after all ;)

Quick question, could Alec Repair the Traveler from Destiny?

It's a game, so it should qualify for the original fic, but Repairing the truck is what twigged me to the possibility so I'm asking here.

As for why he would go there in the first place? Light. Maybe Darkness as well if the Stasis zuggarut is there already, but definitely Light.

Its direct uses are fairly powerful, but still less so than some spells. It's quite versatile, but maybe less so than magic as a whole. Buuuut, that's not why you get the Light when you have those other options. You get the Light because it's playing around with metaphysical base elements. Esoterics at a level that normal magic users can look at an effect and ask how you did that, to which you can honestly shrug your shoulders and say "shenanigans".

Can I get a link or a name
Okay I had to go through hundreds of stories that I've read over the years to find this stupid thing, but I got it: investigator Harry Steel and Wild West Harry Potter, by TheBlackHand724.

Each story is over 100,000 words long and I enjoyed them, but I don't feel like they get much of a fan base considering they haven't been updated since 2017. Which is a real shame because they have a nice warm feel to them and a few original characters I really enjoy reading about.

Eh, whether they believe it's just some all powerful quirk(s), or finally realize it's actually magic doesn't really matter. Alec doesn't need them to believe him about that. After all, their beliefs won't prevent the ass whoopin they'll receive if they step out of line(Which I'm really expecting to happen with all the mention of Alec being "Dangerous" and "A security nightmare." plus the HPSC being themselves).

what's going to make everyone shit bricks is when they learn that Alec can TEACH others to use his "Quirks", remember that for some reason Trump Quirks are RARE...when every citizen can potentially be carrying a nuke in their pockets it gets real hard to suppress them...Quirks for all there verity are still fairly limited...something magic is not.

Alec taught 3 people spells. Izuku, Izuku's mom, and Eri. These watchers don't know about Eri and Inko, so they probably assume Alec teaching Izuku is possible because they shared bodies for a while. Which makes some sense according to quirks being gentic fuckery at least, if Izuku got a shot of 'quirk factor' and adapted to it or was forced to adapt to it by Alec while he was possessed.

Don't forget Nezu.

Not that that negates your point, of course.

Had events gone as they were supposed to, Izuku would have been here following the directions of All Might.

He didn't know what had caused the change. He could possibly find out through judicious abuse of divination spells but...

Oh! I have some guesses!

Honestly I'd probably be easier to ask what didn't change that particular event...

So, this is among the pickiest of nit-picking...but the name is actually Dagobah. As in, the swamp planet Yoda hides out on after Revenge of the Sith. Horikoshi is a big Star Wars fan, and they made a bunch of not-very-Japanese references and names for locations in MHA's future Japan. I dunno, I guess the hypothetical fourth set of movies sold really well overseas before the onset of Quirks destroyed everything, and Disney collapsed so it's copyright was lost.

It's of no real consequence here, but if there's any other original locations or places for the future of this series...well, keep in mind it's entirely canonical if they sound like they come from a place far, far away.
