Mouse Protector remains a great source of fun in this unfun world.
I do so hope she joins Alchemist on his trips back 'home'. Although Character bloat is a serious concern at this point...

That said, I am most shocked that she was apparently fine with Alec's true form as a Void Dragon... when did that happen?

"Cyka blyat!" the person shouted, waving a massive mechanical fist in Alec's direction. "Dolboyov! Idi na hui! Come down here so I can be the kicking of your butthole!"

For a second, I thought the Dragonslayers had escaped and were seeking revenge on Alchemist.

Possible humor if Alchemist said "no, Trainwreck is not my friend," yet hung around helping the man salvage metal so Alchemist's new [Scrapper] power can bum off Trainwreck via [On the Shoulders of Giant].

Example:
Alec: "Stop saying you're my friend. You're not!"
Alec: (continues to help Trainwreck)
🐭MP & Trainwreck: (*chuckles at Alec's so-called unfriendliness*)

Ability Purchased!

Scrapper 1/40: Reduce a targeted, non-living object into salvage! Higher levels increase the odds of acquiring complex components and high-quality materials as well as reducing the time it takes to deconstruct an item! Focus: 60 SP/Minute. Inventory: Free!

TYFTC! The consequences of letting a human master run around unchecked rather than putting a bullet in them are apparent to all. Letting it go on do as long as it had just made the inevitable consequences worse. Heartbreaker was just a dude. He could have slipped and fallen out of the tub and the same thing would have happened when his thralls found out about his death.

Is his anti-thinker ability that dropped off the board at level 20 still leveling up to 40? I wonder what effects that might have…

So, Trainwreck Stole the Salvaged Property that was Repaired by Alec?

Which he is now Squating in?
I read it more as "It was pointed out to Alec that even though clearing the harbor would be useful to the Brockton Bay economy in the long run, removing the large source of free scrap metal had negative short-term consequences on the cape scene that he didn't consider."

Like, it isn't "Trainwreck stole from Alec", it's "Trainwreck [and presumably countless other small time tinkers, past and present] had been effectively running a less efficient salvage operation (something that, as Alec has pointed out, is legal. The boats are free real estate) prior to Alec's clearing of the boat graveyard and was angry at it being disrupted". Legally, Alec had the right to do that and could tell anyone who complains to fuck off, but Trainwreck is right that it's rude.

Well, rereading the main story and I ran into this bit

"...That's why you're down here." Alchemist finally agreed, earning a confused glare from the god. "Because you know things the rest of your family can't imagine. Because they see someone that stood against their father's rage for the sake of someone that doesn't even love you... And they feel something they can't name. Because you shame them."

considering said father is Zeus, is this the reason he got so angry or at least a part of it?

Sorry, took a second to comprehend your asking is this why Zeus got so angry.
Also context: That's Al talking to Hephestus.

I honestly don't remember if this is the spark that sent Zeus in Al's direction but he's definitely got other reasons. He's pushing Wonder Woman into ascending as a god to rival Zeus, his actions are weakening Gaea's prison, he's airing out dirty laundry all over the place, like the latest in Zeus' infidelities, and probably fucking with Apollo's prophecies considering his immunity to Destiny's journal.

Zeus has got plenty reason to hate on Al, him talking Hephy into interacting with other pantheons is just one of many.

Her power was not, technically, a Master power. Not in the traditional sense. She did not alter or twist people's emotions. Rather, she forced phantom sensations unto them, honeyed words or shrieking cries that were interpreted by the brain and not the ears. She could torture people into compliance but she could not trick them.

Is it just me, or does that description fit Glory Girl's power a little too close?

"This is van-nil-a." I don't know how he wasn't expecting this ;)

I hope Alec doesn't find out who Trainwreck is by seeing him stealing/killing/etc. on TV or something. I think he'd be quite upset, though I'm not sure if it would be with himself or Earth Bet.

I wonder if we'll get to hear Danny or Taylor's take on the Bay being cleaned up.
For a certain definition of salvage: Granted
Minerva and Alec are a fun couple, pretty sure he atleast sees her as a friend. Wonder what he will do when he remembers her canon death.... Maybe the next 9 targets?
He told her about it when they first met. It's why she went to Brockton Bay in the first place. To avoid the Nine.

Is Trainwreck Really Russian? Could be Ukrainian or Polish Descent.

Lack of Engineering or Backwards. Some reason reminds me of someone who hates Tony Stark. Victor.

... The Ship is Beached. Can it be Sunk Again?

... The Ship is Beached. Can it be Sunk Again?
Depends on how it's beached and how large it is.
Beaching a ship happens regularly with smaller crafts and doesn't usually lead to sinking unless the hull breaks.
Larger ships might have issues if they beach and the tide rolls away, having it half floating. The strain of keeping itself upright while one side bobs in water can twist a ship apart or cause it to topple.
Beaching a ship on low tide risks hitting rocks and other stuff that can puncture a hole or ground a ship, only for it to get stuck when the tide rises and more water pressure is present or fills in over the sides.

"Salvage!" the person in the power armor shouted. "I! AM! NEEDING! SALVAGE!"
Neat.

that repair aura will come in handy.

Will other tinkers attack the repaired Boatyard for salvage? Squealer, Chariot, maybe Uber & Leet?

Would Kid Win be assigned to keep watch over the Boatyard?

🚕🚖🏎️🚙
If Alec defeated Squealer, would it upgrade the [Vehicle Mechanics] crafting feat? Squealer's vehicle tinker powers specialized in "Mad Max" style size, augmentations, and accessories.

This bit reminded me of another fic that I had read which I cannot remember but the mc was at an Amazon party and ran into this drunk chick and convinced her that she could just divorce her spouse if they couldn't be faithful. She laughed hysterically, thanked him, and ran off. He later heard that Zeus and Hera were on the outs for good this time. Cannot for the life of me remember what fix this is from.

That was With This Ring, if not the progenitor than the apex example of the Lantern SI trend that happened in the early 2010s on the SB/SV/QQ trinity.

He finally chose to worship Eris and near immediately convinced Hera to divorce Zeus throwing the Greek pantheon into... Discord. Apparently it's still going, got kicked from SB, went to SF, got kicked from SV, is now on QQ. No idea where he'll go if he's kicked from QQ (somehow)

Terra 'forgets' to remove that power when she re-shunts Alchemist back to the DC universe.
Alec gets to keep any power he levels up to 20 before leaving, whether Terra likes it or not. Because he asked, and Lucifer agreed.

Which also means he has all of his commonly-used spells and more besides sitting in reserve for when the time comes to break the setting instead of just the status quo.
