Well, after reading the alll thing in a week, i have some questions but I guess the main one is, why keep uncle Ben alive ? I guess that this is an AU and some changes are necessary for your OC but for some reason I found that one as an odd change.

Aunt May's dead instead. It's one of the many many many branching universes (because comics).

Other than that, to make interesting story beats is my assumption. Fanfic is by its nature transformative after all.

The very reductive version of the explanation is that Spiderman has always been Jewish-coded, but it was never explicit; whereas here the author is making it explicit.

Yes, i know that but i guess i find it odd because i thought that this was just a fic about a jewish lesbian lawyer that is also a nazi hunter( completely normal in the marvel univerde) that shows us how real world legal works in a superhero world, since is the beginning of the beginning of the heroic age, we will see how she can change, try to change or work around the law that was not created with people with superpowers in mind.

That's an interesting premise so there was no need to kill Aunt May in this world... unless.. she was the cause of her death!!!! She probably free the guy that ended up killing her in her early years in the job...ok is a wild theory but is still valid.

Aunt May being dead was used to get Noa to work on Ben's case in the first place. May wouldn't remember all of Ben's old war buddies or get into a physical conflict with Norman Osborn, would she?

Of course she would, she would have put Odborn to tbe ground beforw he could.do.anything. There is areason why Galactus selected her as his herald in another universe.

Just a small update. I want to get the next chapter out this weekend, but my head probably won't be in it.

Got bad news from the vet. My pup isn't long for this world without surgery, and there's a 50/50 she dies on the OR table. She'd need clearance from consults with 2 specialists first, and one of them is very much going to be the decider of "weeks" versus "months".

I'm still gonna try. But I make no promises.
Having lost my cat to old age near the start of this month, you have my sympathies for what you're going through. We can wait for the story.

Well for one thing it brought home to Noa that she can't fully rely on her (faded, dim) memories of the comics as to what's going to happen.

Sounds pretty cool to imagine Aunt May having the power of cosmic with some good old change of being brought back to her youth and prime as we see some Heralds of Galactus being hot like Silver Surfer.

Then again, in Marvel Universe, there are a lot of superheroes and supervillains who look like they should be in super modeling.

Not limited to the Marvel comics. Just about all comic books start with body builders and gymnasts as the models for characters, especially the ones with powers. For Jack Kirby, it was an intentional choice. For some others as well. But some comic book artists just draw what is aesthetically pleasing to them. Often, it hypersexualizes the character (see any of the women in nearly any comic book from the 20th century). Mostly it just kind of creates a norm in which everyone is jacked, stacked, and/or racked.

Good point about and I can see Noa lampshade about superheroes and supervillains looking great when checking out their costumes and combat outfits.

If Noa does try out the superhero gig (for a one time thing), will her outfit be like her Final Fantasy self?

The MC was specifically made by the author to be "someone that can easily die to bullets/Is too weak to safely play superhero".

So yeah don't expect her to get anything but self defense training.

Not with that attitude. Even the weak powers have their usefulness and can be weaponized to make cases of Boring But Practical and Beware the Silly Ones if they're underestimated for seemingly weak by first impression.
Dude, the author has literally said that Noa is basically at the civilian level of marvel universe and nothing is gonna change that. When superheros and supervillains start fighting and leveling the area she runs the other way with the other smart people with survival instincts. Her powers are basically glamoring herself and very weak magic based light manipulation.

Fair enough.

Also since everyone is guessing who shot the arrow at the cliffhanger, I can make a guess that it's Bullseye, one of Hawkeye's enemies. Probably hired to make an assassination attempt and he does use a bow and arrow among his arsenal of weaponry at his disposal.

That guy is quite good at hitting targets in the bullseye, no pun intended.

If Noa ever does superheroing, she's not going to be throwing down with anybody in a fight. She's far more likely to be an investigator/infiltrator looking for evidence and information.

Her skills as a lawyer are just far more valuable. If she ever needs a super powered investigator, she can just ask her contacts for help.

The most plausible path to Noa doing conventional heroing is a wacky arc where she consumes that Phoenix Force or whatever and has to very, very reluctantly punch something that only her new OP self can stop.

Money (and connections) are superpowers in the Marvel Universe; knowing who and where can get you some tinker tech, an armored suit, a portal to the Gun Dimension. But that assumes one wants to run around fighting crime and/or supervillains.

Of course, mutant powers can...change.

While Noa does want to fight crime, she wants to do so in court. She has no interest in putting on a silly costume to go out and fight the criminals directly. For one thing being a lawyer pays much better than the average costumed hero makes.

So it means Noa is a foil to She-Hulk. Both are lawyers but one chooses to fight in the court of law while the other decides to go on adventuring and kicking ass.

And there's nothing wrong with costumes. As long there's no capes as Edna Mode would say.

Noa is also acquainted with Magneto and Professor X, and if the infamous incident with a wooden gun happens at some point, Noa will tease Magneto about it.
"Alright. What was it this time."

"Mister Fantastic shot me."

"Erik, we BOTH know there's no way he could've done that if you didn't let him. Try again."

"The gun was made of wood."

"…"

"Noa?"

"No. No, I don't believe you. I've heard a lot of far fetched bullshit from you over the years, Erik, but this? A wooden gun? Why would Reed fucking Richards make that!?"

"To fight me, of course—"

"That just raises MORE questions!"
