I could, but well, the Swedes are my friends....

That would have gone about the same as it did. They want more privileges, something I can't grant if I want my nation to go the way I want. Also gives them too much of a hold on domestic policy, as giving in to them let's anyone else know I'll fold when pressed.

Other than, you know, selling weapons to the Noble's anyway regardless of what I do.

You signed a deal to negotiate with your nobles, to not wage offensive war, and had asked about expanding into the Deccan before and had been rebuffed/stonewalled.

If you didn't want to abide by this you should have tried to get them removed from the deal or accounted for it in your plans.

Instead you tried to use the deal as a shield to move into the Deccan anyways and pretend that the noble situation would not become more complicated.

That I retaliated should fundamentally not be a surprise.

Really, it's almost like you're only anti-interventionist when it's convenient for you, much like the rest of your allies. Funny, that.

This isn't an out-of-the-blue intervention halfway across the world on a matter that doesn't involve me without warning or provocation. You knew that I wanted the Deccan and wasn't willing to hand it to you from our negotiations. You saw me move to secure it and grab objectives for international prestige. You knew you had a rebellion at home to deal with that you weren't planning on negotiating with in the slightest. You decided to get involved anyways.

If you had given up the Swedes and I jumped in anyways, sure, you'd have a point and that would be a huge dick move on my end. That isn't what happened.

And perhaps you should stop trying to impose, you know, an Iranian hegemony over India when one of my priorities is ruling said india.
Perhaps if you had decided to try to talk with me, negotiating the extent of your influence over India, I wouldn't have to go around your back for this.

All true. But you also know that I do not like the idea of, you know, you holding Indian land. I got involved because otherwise, you would have made it clear that India is your personal playground.

Now, I am actually perfectly willing to negotiate this. You could indeed get the Deccan if you so wish, but it's going to take some form of concessions.
Hell, I'd hand over the Vasa in a heartbeat if you or Tenfold offered something good.

As your government is clearly illegitimate, we will be seizing the colonies of Tasmania and New Zealand for our Australia dominion. Have a pleasant day.

Oh my, this is getting interesting.
Safavid's rights to the Indian archipelagos and Swedish Madagascar and
That's odd, it doesn't include the Deccan. Funny, but you might want to edit that.
We humbly offer to you as tribute these products of our finest armories, so that you might see the goodwill and reverence in which our employers hold yourselves. We bring to you today five hundred Model 1664 "Old Bess" rifles, 50 RF-6 25 Pounder Howitzers, 25 BL-3 60 Pounder Heavy Guns, 10 Light Cavalry Mk. III "Lancaster" Tanks, 5 Cavalry Mk. II "Fairfax" Tanks, and one instance of the mighty Superheavy Mk. I "Cromwell", the same that was sold to the Safavid Shananshahs in their war against the false Emperor Dara Shikoh. We hope that you may find our tribute a useful aid to your endeveors, and that the strength of these arms shall please you as you use them in your righteous struggle against the false Emperor.
Um...... Okay, hold up.

@ChineseDrone , @Havocfett , you do know that they are, uh, inland right? You can't exactly get stuff to them without just flying ships out of nowhere into India. Which is silly.

Even if they had a port city, they notably do not hold the Countryside. So all your equipment would be concentrated in that one city. Now, you'd also have to sell it as well, which means they, with their 2 econ, would have to pay for it. Unless you're using the nonexistent lend-lease rules.

CONFIDENTIAL

You will retract your insults or it will be considered a personal offense to the Tsar and the Russian state. Cordiality is a prime principle of negotiations, and in order to ensure you follow that we are dispatching our envoys to both Khiva and the Kazakh hosts in order to lecture them properly on these matters.

Man, really gotta watch protocol around those Russians.

Thank you. Whatever the Ming are doing in the south, it cannot be completed.
Am I missing something? Because I was under the impression they already finished doing it.

Do Not Do This Dangerous Thing

"It is the magician's bargain: give up our soul, get power in return. But once our souls, that is, ourselves, have been given up, the power thus conferred will not belong to us. We shall in fact be the slaves and puppets of that to which we have given our souls." - C.S Lewis. Uptimer.
A Qing company crossed the Ming border. They saw a weakened state, a vulnerable one where even a nominal force might take territory or retrieve plunder for the Qing war fund. They found a country mid-revolt. Peasants, terrified of the war, Ming losses, and increasingly draconian measures put upon them in the name of the front, had begun to rise, demanding surrender to the Shun or the Qing. The Qing officer, seeing no garrisons and easy glory to be won, sprang into action. Raiding loyalist towns, telling rebels of the benevolence of the Qing, telling them to marshal forces behind him and march to Lianzhou, declare the entire province part of the Qing by force and end the constant loss of their husbands and sons and brothers to a doomed war in the name of a false emperor.

Then the monster came. A great snake, with scales that shrugged off rifle fire, coils that flattened buildings, a jaw that swallowed scores without noticing, ripped trucks and cars in half almost casually. It ended the Qing raid and the new revolt in one fell stroke, and then returned from whence it came. South, to the capital and a larger war.

Losses:
Qing:
250 Cavalry

Qing Partisans (Ming Rebels):
Revolt Ended.

Ming:
All of the Emperor's Children save his heir.
The Emperor's ability to sleep at night.
One hundred fifty thousand civilians

The Bashe 'Emperor's Children'
Combat Equivalent: 1 Corp of Superheavy Tanks with the Shock Troopers trait.
Spells:
Eject: The Bashe may eject the shattered bones of what it has eaten in a horrific rain of debris and gore capable of scattering those around it. (Fraying/Weaving 4)
Divine Scales: Direct magical attack washes off the Bashe, rendering it difficult to injure through the deployment of mages. Magic weaponry and augmented soldiers work fine. (Shielding 4)
Fear: To stand against the Bashe is to oppose the will of heaven itself! Or, at least, a fucked up version of it. Militia cannot face the Bashe, Green soldiers rout swiftly. (Patterning 3)
Breaker of Armor: The Bashe may be able to eat men, but it is giants that should truly fear it. Great warships, tanks, airships, monsters and mechs, these are what the Bashe truly excels at hunting. (Practice of Perfection: 3)
