So I just want to throw out the idea that we should repair the Sahelanthropus. Because we know VC has super weapons of it's own. Would be nice to have something to even the playing field.

By that same logic parasite soldiers would make great elite troops in which we could potentially counter lone Valkyria. Which brings to mind a question: how would ragnite react to corrosive archea?

The fact of the matter is, even if Huey isn't malicious and was indeed telling the truth about everything (Strangelove killed herself, putting Hal in the cockpit wasn't child abuse because it's Otacon we're talking about here - he probably wouldn't stop crying until his father gave in and put him in there) he's still a huge liability, because he's the kind of dumbass that lets XOF killteams onto your base to kill everyone and causes parasite breakouts because he was doing god knows what to them. Whether it's maliciousness or stupidity, he's frankly more likely to hurt everyone around him than most of our enemies.

Don't be an asshole.

Quiet and the skulls are proof of what the parasites can do if used properly.

Fuck the ability to just wholesale replace burned skin and ruined lungs is valuable enough without the superpowers.

Don't forget that the Cobra unit had special abilities due to parasites.

Anyone else think that the parasites were big bosses timeline version of nanomachines? So we just need a "Parasites son." Meme.

I'd like to point out that the one Quiet* is an exception to all the other members of XOF being turned into zombies with little cognitive function. So yes there is plenty of good reason to avoid researching it for superpowers.

*Who is a walking WMD if she ever speaks English.

Not even touching that option until both the Huey and Eli problems are solved.

I mean last I checked, canon had Eli and his gang stole Salemwhatever and fucked off. He did so because Huey was secretly doing some repairs.

She wasn't the only one. The Pain, The End, and Code Talker, and potentially Skull Face, all used the parasites and came out as intelligent and rational human beings. Well, Skull Face as fucking nuts, but that's because of the life he lived and choices he made, not because of the Parasites.

So long as a PROPER host is found, the parasites are far more symbiotic, then actually parasitic.

My point is that those who gain superpowers, and remain human are the exceptions, which even ignoring the morality issues has a fundamental problem of a lack of excess manpower. Like the only pragmatic use I can see is to give named characters a low chance of survival if they return to mother base with mortal wounds, and that almost certainly requires extensive research to unlock.

im pretty sure the zombie thing was purposefully done by skullface.

Also The End also had parasite's involved.

Also the vocal parasites are a different type of parasite anyway.

Sahelanthropus is great, and we should definitely fix it up at some point.

And fit it with an AI pod, so that we dont have to have a child pilot it.

So I'm still picking away at my Paz Omake, making decent progress, but does anyone want a sneak peak? Normally I wouldn't do this but I am really proud of the idea I had.
