She wished for GLORIOUS NIPPON STRONK to not have been bombed in the War, but despaired upon the realization that, in order to preserve the sanctity of the space-time continuum, not only did Japan need to be bombed, but she was now the one who had to do the bombing on account of her space-time fuckery.

Doesn't explain the biochemical bits though. Admittedly a bomb which is simultaneously biochemical and nuclear is horribly unrealistic, but then their witches... realism kinda went out the window the moment the wish was made.

It's probably more allegorical than literal. Someone who loathes themselves, who thinks that they are dangerous, and that people need to avoid them. Possibly someone who witched out upon discovering she would turn into a monster.

It's kind of interesting, because usually witches are all about bringing people into their lair, because they are fundamentally lonely creatures. A witch whose familiars warn people away and who doesn't seem to attack until threatened is a bit of a deviation from the norm.

Well... the Familiar's are incapable of adequately warning other individuals away, since they can't talk in a language humans are capable of comprehending, so they aren't too far outside of the norm.

If the Witch does explode itself... it'll probably be weaker for a while afterwards, if we can come back in.

If not... did the Witch turn like this because we got into the Barrier, or did we just have bad timing? If the second, then we could have better luck coming in another time. Again, if the Witch doesn't get away.

You all keep running, and you notice something on one of the walls. It's a yellow and black sign, in English, but you know what it is without having to read it.

"It's a bio-hazard sign," says Kyoko. "Either the barrier itself is about to fuck us up, or the witch has something up its sleeve."

You start to resume running, but Homura's voice stops you in your tracks.

"That's not all," says Homura. "Look behind you."

You turn around to find that the walls are now covered in warning signs; radioactive, flammable, corrosive, any and every warning sign is now on the walls you just passed.
"any and every warning sign", eh? :thonk:

Even... THIS ONE?!

"Now please, hurry," says Homura. "I cannot stress enough just how urgent we must be."
Homura really can not explain at lenght, without mincing words, how urgent it is that they all move with due haste, and perform their tasks as quickly and efficiently as possible.

:p

So basically "broken"? That's... literally every witch ever.

Also, a witch with a non-german name? This quest must be an AU in more ways than one.

I mean, I get why people might want to take a massive risk and go against our more experienced MGs? But like... I'm not overly inclined to because "taking massive risks when there is no absolute need to" is probably the #1 reason why Magical Girls die to witches at all.

[X] Run away.

[X] Run away.

Hopping on the bandwagon for this one, but I'm surprised not a single person seems to have voted for the middle option.

You know, Homura, now would be a really fucking good time to use timestop to get us all clear of the blast.

I think she might be an allusion to the victims of either Fukushima Plant or Hiroshima and Nagasaki.

If she did anything she would probably put up some kind of barrier, or do something else, to lessen the damage of the witch bomb after yuma is out of sight. Same effect and fewer questions about her power.

Magical Girl Profile: Yuma Chitose
Someone would call it unoriginal, I'd use the phrase "inspired to repeat"

Soo

Lord Chungus, what say you?

Bio

Name:
Yuma Chitose

Age:
Physically: 8
Mentally:
"Big Sis is Big Sis, but sometimes Yuma has to take matters in her own hands, you know?"

Race: Mahou Shoujo Subtype One

Likes:
Big Sis Kyouko, food, headpats
Dislikes: Umm... I dunno, uncomfortable chairs? Her parents.

Traits

Yuma is Yuma:
Yuma is a Japanese 8-year old kid. So she refers to herself in third person. Big deal, right? Nope. +7 to Diplomacy rolls, because cute.

Big Sis is just Tsundere Misunderstood : Yuma mitigates Kyouko's Diplomacy maluses... somewhat. Yuma always rolls first on the Diplomacy tasks. Kyouko's maluses are halved.

Abilities

Mahou Shoujo:
May Transform. You have superhuman strength, endurance and reflexes. Can mitigate psychological effect of various wounds and poisons, "detaching" yourself from the pain, if sufficiently calm.
Malus: ??? Soul in a Gem
Malus: ??? Fate of Majos

I Wish
-Help Big Sis:
You Wished to be helpful to your Big Sis. Well, you got it.
Malus(?), Kyouko is a Friendly NPC: You cannot harm Kyouko Sakura, not really. Even when she's being stupid. Bopping her on her head is fine, though, thank for small mercies.
—Help is here! Sort of: you are a tank and a healer all rolled up in one cute package. To offset Kyouko's heavy gung-ho Devil-may-care attitude, your abilities seem to adjust in order to protect and heal her. Your abilities are smart.
—Healing touch: You may heal anyone, not only Big Sis. Well, every Magical Girl can, but you do it faster and more efficiently. Helps when you have to heal yourself, too.
—Combination Attack, You Stab, I Punch: You are pretty accommodating of Kyouko's style, if you say so yourself. More importantly, even Kyouko admits you are making progress, albeit grudgingly. May launch an unrelenting barrage of attacks together with Kyouko, exploiting openings and weak points you create for each other.

-A-mace-ing: You have this mace-scepter-ish thingy that you can punch Witches with. And people, if they are mean to Big Sis. Or Big Sis if she's mean ( not too hard, though ). Versatile!

"Yuma, who the fuck are you talking to?"

"Yuma... doesn't know? Yuma just had this overwhelming urge to list off my traits and abilities. Happens to everyone, right?"

"...Weirdo."

I say "this is great, as are you." I would say more, but Unholy Pub Crawl is sucking all my creativity.

Have a YumaHug.

The restriction explicitly says "harm." There's nothing preventing you from "hit"

I even think it's a bonus, being able unleash unworldly rage.... harmlessly (... and cutely)

To tell you the truth, I was just trying to find something disadvantageous in Yuma's abilities.

( the less ambitious the Wish is, the less harm it does in the long run, I suppose? )
