Magical Girl Quest - The Fire That Burns

[X] Dragon
[X] Counter
[X] Clock

These seem to be the most interesting out of all of them, and it also lets us see what our enemy's are up to, and how they view us and our actions, at least to some degree.

I very much want to know more about the counter force. Don't really know on the other two, but dragons are always interesting and clock tower may have morgan.

I have finally caught up again after 50+ days of neglection.

Interlude -

[X] Counter
[X] Clock
[X] Light

Decided to get the main factions opinion of this. We have to see what they think about this. They all are either adversaries or future adversaries of us. We must gain insight on their operations.

EDIT: Almost forgot, Thanks SV, For destroying my Write-In permits.

A SHIP BY ANY OTHER NAME
In response to your thoughts, Gaia slides a pamphlet from somewhere, mentally prodding you when you try to ignore it. Fine. You flick it open and immediately sigh. This is in Japanese. She nods. I can't read Japanese. She nods again. [Your sister really wants to go.] She can't read Japanese either. [She knows some.] You just want to go. [I like the pictures.] She smiles shamelessly and you sigh again, looking at the pictures on the pamphlet. They have a sauna... and a hot spring. You'd always been a little curious, and you were really only resisting because it feels like Gaia is making decisions about you before asking you, again. She shrugs in response.

"You are terrible." Daiyu looks over at your words, her sister following as their conversation pauses. You flick the pamphlet over to her. "Want to go on holiday?" You lean back and look at Sabina, who just shrugs in a 'I don't care' way. Helpful. "Gaia is paying." You think she pays for the things you do, but then again, it is Gaia.

Daiyu shrugs, passing it on to her sister, who stares at it for a long time, long enough for the silence to be a little awkward. Eventually she shakes her head, putting it back on the table. "It is a good idea to take a break, but Japan is very close to China." You let out a quiet 'ah', suddenly understanding her reservation. "The civil war has been contained so far, but it is a very dangerous place to be near, I am astounded that the nuclear arsenal has remained untouched so far." She leans back in her chair. "We should go, but be aware of how precarious the situation is, things have been heating up in the Koreas as well."

You hum. [Nothing will happen, this is your time to relax, I will take care of everything. Stop worrying.] It's difficult not to argue, but well, there isn't anything you can do to keep the fight from spilling over, and she certainly can. I'm only going because Una wants to. Her body smiles, pointing something in her book out to Willow, who taps the air quickly. [If you say so.] I'm not being- She giggles, writing something else down and you roll your eyes. At least she's stopped bullying Willow. [I know everything I need to from her.] You manage to suppress the flinch to a twitch. God fucking- Her smug smile gives everything away.

Just ignore her. [Hey!] Ignoring. "Una, we're going." She jolts up in her seat and you are fully prepared for the cross-table tackle that comes flying your way, the chair beneath you just about managing to survive. You manage to filter out 'Thank you' and 'This is going to be awesome' from the wall of noise, smiling when she grabs Willow by the collar and drags her upstairs. She doesn't have anything to pack Una. It takes a second for the thought to process. Oh, neither do we. You scratch your cheek. Huh.

A quiet clap brings your eyes back to Gaia, standing at her end of the table with a smile. "Since no-one has anything to grab, why don't we go now?"

"I need to get spare underwear at least Gaia." Thank you Cuifen, for being the voice of reason.

Gaia just shrugs. "We can get more there." Una jumps down the stairs, dragging Willow with her as she slides to a stop next to you. "Oh goodie, we're all here." A blink later, and you are standing on a boat of some kind, the passengers loudly reacting to your sudden appearance. Gaia ignores them, getting comfortable in the seat she appeared in. "Don't worry about them, the Japanese are very good at getting used to supernatural happenings." Even as she speaks, most of the Asian passengers are starting to calm down, some of then quietly praying or whispering to each other.

Several of them fish cameras out of their bags, taking pictures before putting them back and opening their books or doing whatever it was they were before. "See? People around here are a lot more used to this." You glance over to the Americans, helpfully designated by the giant flag they have on their shirts. "Ignore them, the Hostesses will keep them out of the way." As she is saying this, an Asian woman approaches her and she tilts her head back, smiling as the woman feeds her grapes.

Reaching across the table and covering your sisters eyes, you narrow your own, quickly glaring at one man you catch sketching a drawing of you. He stops drawing after a second, closing his notepad and bowing to you. Whatever. "Gaia, what are you doing?" She hums around a grape, the Hostesses smile slightly strained. "Oh god, you don't do this often do you?" The uncomfortable look in the Hostess eyes tells you everything. "Ugh, of course you would." You rub your face. "Why didn't you just take us to Japan?"

She hums, swallowing and smiling up at the woman. "Can't, the barrier around Japan works on the teleportation I'm using, so I hopped on a boat. Don't worry, we'll be there in a few hours." A poke from Daiyu makes you look to your other side, a pretty Asian woman holding a plate out to you, a wide variety of food of all types atop it. Goddammit Gaia. You hold up a hand. "I'm fine, I just ate." She looks a little distressed, but nods, stepping out of the room.

"It's good though!" Your sister loudly proclaims as she shuffles from your lap to Cuifen's, the sight making your fingers itch for a second. "You should try some." You catch sight of something chocolate before it disappears into her mouth, a pleased hum coming from your sister.

"You'll get seasick if you eat lots." She pauses then shrugs, handing something to Willow, who was staring at a flickering screen with wide eyes. Oh, yeah, the last time she got teleported... Thankfully Daiyu seems to be aware, and is quietly whispering to her. Seeing everything mostly in hand -you'll regret that later Una- you look back to Gaia, who was drinking something expensive looking, a different woman nervously looking on. Does this count as not paying?

"Gaia, could you be less... you?" She just tilts her head back more, letting the drink slide into her mouth. "I guess not." You look back around the room, the Americans are gone, most of the Asians are quietly ignoring you and the sun is shining brightly through the windows. That one guy is drawing me again. He doesn't stop when you look over, though he does shrink down. Alright then, what are you doing. He stops drawing as you stand up, looking progressively more nervous as you approach. "Why are you drawing me?"

"I am sorry for disturbing you, your appearance gave me inspiration." His words are slow and careful, mispronouncing only one of the words. "Please forgive me." He bows his head as far as he can go, forehead touching the notepad on his lap.

Feeling a little awkward at his display, you grunt. "Show me." He lifts his head just enough to free the page, sliding it out with his left hand and holding it above his head. You take it and quickly scan the page. This is- A rough sketch of your face, a few details are off, but it's pretty accurate. It's barely been five minutes. "Why are you drawing me?"

He doesn't lift his head, so his voice comes out a little muffled. "I am an Artist, I draw characters for Ani- cartoons, I saw you and I had a sudden inspiration for a character. I did not mean to offend you." His voice is as clear as he can make it from his position. Why is he bowing like that? [Because he knows you are magical in some way and is being accordingly respectful to a 'spirit'.] You blink, looking at the man in a new light. Thanks, for actually being helpful for once. You can hear her indignant squeak from across the room. "You can stop worrying, I'm not going to hurt you."

He slowly sits up, placing both of his hands in his lap as he straightens his back until it's so straight it looks painful. Alright, still nervous then. "Ok, you were just using me as inspiration then?" He nods. "This isn't going to be a Hentai is it?" He jolts at your flawless pronunciation of the word, quickly shaking his head.

"No, it is a show about Magical Girls, nothing Hentai about it." He looks more than a little flustered, but your attention is drawn to the whole Magical Girl part. He can't know, can he?

"Why do you think I would be a good fit in a Magical Girl show?" I bet Gaia is at fault for this entire genre becoming a thing. [Actually, not my fault.] Huh.

"Ah, I just saw you and thought 'she would make a perfect mysterious side character who is acting behind the scenes'. I apologise for my presumptions, I will destroy the page immediately if you let me." He stays in his position, but his words are clearly a lead for you to hand him the page. Looking back at the picture for a moment, you let your imagination slip for just a second, thinking what if... You shake your head, moving to give him the notebook, but pausing when you look at it again. I should destroy it, but...

[] Let him use your likeliness, it's just a harmless thing, right?
[] No chances, make him destroy it.

Rule of PR- you define your image of yourself BEFORE others do it to you. Remember how Counter-force turned the public on Clocktower?
