Into that Vast and Unrelenting Darkness (40K Xeno Civilization Quest)

@The Bird

Are you ever going to revamp ship building so we don't burn a bunch of points on it each turn?
We don't burn a bunch of points on ships every turn: we've built five since the start of the quest (ten counting Pioneers).
I think it was mentioned on Discord we could potentially have a dock upgrade to lower NK costs, which is what I'm really worried about.
Hey everyone, if we do Q-bit particles and Rite of Telecommunication do you think we could take away the bit in Q-Band Synchronisers where the Network cost of non -Pioneer ships goes up by one ?

Considering how we now have the MegaDocks, we're bound to have some actions to lower resource costs of ships, point costs aren't that much of a bother.

Maybe, we should probably do the Comm Bouy project and Hyperforum project as well just to be sure.

Little problem with that, Lileath is the daughter of Kurnous and Isha.

That's why I proposed that Dhia'Albain is their daughter as well.
So Lileath's younger sister then.

Here's hoping 🫰.

Eldar Aspect warrior Aspects like swooping hawk the god of sky, revenge and retribution.
I mean they have shrines and beliefs based on these aspects believed by millions of Elda.
Given life-force I think they would make great (great as in a good framework the new god could grow off not a good god that's up to what goes into the making of them) foci to channel life-force though weaking Slaanesh's hold on the Elda spirit.

The problem there is that the aspect warriors are at least nominally already linked to Khaine, i.e. the Eldar equivalent of Leman Russ, but without the redeeming qualities or ability to learn. The aspect temples are temples of Khaine.

Yeah as fun as Lileath being the mother of the new Goddess it just does not work with the lore. Hoeth probably isn't interested in taking female form...oh... Hekarti would work, but sadly she does not seem to exist in 40K.

OK, between all our commitments to the Khimer, Aledari, dealing with Chaos (AAAA and WardTerminal Control Nexus), the Hobbgrott education problem that was mentioned last update (GrotTeknikal), and keeping anything from majority-completing in FTH (//PATH TekTalismans and WarpTek Altar), we have 16 CUL, 3 FTH, and 15 ACD. To that end, this is what remains of my Trek Tech plan, adjusted to include all of our commitments:

why don't we scan Mongus instead? Its the last planet left in our home system to scan.
I want to do more exploration; people always keep sending ships to check in with places we've already been, and I want to push that boundary until we get enough ships to do it without the extra pressure. We're not at that point yet, so I need to squeeze out all the exploration I can.
Maybe we could put 10 points from this to one of the GeneLabs. Bird said they open projects that use BioData.
With only 5 points in HoloTek, I don't trust that people would be willing to finish it. I want at least something Trek in my Trek Tech plan to be set up for completion, and I think HoloTek has really flown under everyone's radar. I would like to do the GeneLabs soonish, but not when I only have the ACD for a single personal project.

Making the aspects into gods/goddess might also break up Khaine's domains. So instead of one uber war god they get a pantheon of war gods.
you know like Aeris and Athena both are gods of war but different aspects of warfare. You know brake it up so there isn't one god that can torture half you pantheon with no one stopping him.

Empowering one or even all of them isn't going to remove the link to Kaine, they can't outgrow him because he's also getting empowered. The most you could do is make a specific avatar or temple the new core of Kaine. This MIGHT cast a temple/avatar with an opposing philosophy out into the cold, but even if we then turned around and turbo empowered them they'd still be a kaine derivative.

If we want the Aspects to form a council of Eldar war gods, we'd have to true death Kaine or denature his shards and redistribute the power.

IF we want a new war god, we should just feed the Hobgrots' Mojo Spirits, and do the project for creating Hobgrot Mystecs. That's probably our best candidate for war god around.

Eldar, gotta have Eldar involved to make an Eldar god.

Wouldn't that lead us back to gork and mork though?
Unlikely, we have a direct rejection from at least one of them in play. However they're not the only ones in da Waaaahg!

The Mojo Spirits are explicitly not Gork or Mork, but rather are a (currently weak) collective of lesser Waaaagh spirits. This also means they're more malleable, and will probably take cues from how we've developed the Hobgrots.

The Hobgrotts might be predisposed to make multiple Mojo Gods. They're surrounded by things like Machine Spirits, Vita, and other similar minor divine beings that they may be inclined to treat even small time spirits the same as big time spirits.

It is quite likely that if we invest in the Mojo Shrines and other hobgrot religious projects, that they'll develop their own pantheon of Spirits dedicated to things like Battle, Honor, Speed, Beasts, and Sneaking.

If we want to repel Chaos Lunar Consulls seems a lot better. It's more expensive but the AAAA only covers those that suffers from personality overwrite due to Personae Masks.
