Into that Vast and Unrelenting Darkness (40K Xeno Civilization Quest)

A Tekket Viewing Teklia (Hyacinthium)
I inbetween getting my wifi to work, opening up my laptop, and feeling victorious; I remembered my laptop is a 2 in 1 and has a stylus. Which is the whole reason I bought it. Opened it up and started testing out how it'll work for me in ms paint. So, really inspired by Rainworld here and forgot what color ferrets are. A Tekket looking upon what their world may look like, in the past.

I don't really see how Folk Religion helps with that.

If we want to reduce zealotry, government backing for a specific set of religions seems counter intuitive; if we want to fight chaos worship, then establishing any theology, or lack of it, without actually understanding how the ruinous four operate will not help.
That's because it doesn't. I'm pointing out that our civilization has deterents and is not all that likely to fall to Chaos worship, if anything related to Chaos is lurking within our folk religions. Therefore making it a safer option than some posters were fearing earlier in the thread. But like yk the whole post is a joke about how the update absolutely changes my priorities. Woosh.

[] Plan: Resource Resurgence

Mother is nice, but let's see what the SPHERE can offer. I like the secret tech option.
Any chance you'd like to also vote for any of these other plans?

[] Plan: Preparing for the Unknown
[] Plan: Resource Resurgence with Luna Survey

They both take SPHERE and Plan: Resource Resurgence with Luna Survey only changes the Survey target.

@chellewalker , uh, I think both the Resource Resurgence Plans are only using 11 out of 12 ACD points.

EDIT:
@aceraptor , yours too.
EDIT:
I'd like to shill for You Can't Say Nuclear while we're at it, which also takes Sphere while grabbing all the chances to make back action points this turn to minimize the malus.
EDIT:Nope, nevermind, plan doesn't work.

…….alright then.

Very nice. Like the last fanart posted to this thread, you get to pick a category next turn to get some bonus points.

looks like my plan is gonna lose again sigh just hope we take machine cults one day soon it would suck to choose machine gods as option in the first vote as our big huge advantage for us and then just never do stuff with them without being forced too by the qm...

Tbh I agree. On the other hand, I actually read the C'tan wiki page and holy shit.

The aversion to worshipping them makes sense given they tend to either feed off stars, or devour life forms. I suspect that the Mother's body changing guidance would be soul transferrence. The same thing that made the Necrons what they are today. Tbh I think the best deal is Yaldoboesthoth. Name aside, that choice reads like we've paid the price either way.

No one is picking it though, and I'm too tired to keep track of the plans ATM. Good night space cowboys.

I was thinking there was going to be a meta thing where Bird carries on with the next update as if we'd been necron'd and puppeted by Yaldoboesthoth, or that our Bond-Drones never existed and any machine-spirits get subsumed into Yaldoboesthoth, from the beginning of the quest.

That's the problem with that deal. No way to regret any price if you don't know you paid it, which means any price can be imposed no matter how soul crushing.

[X] Plan: Preparing for the Unknown

Should I celebrate? The plan without the Arcologies and Machine cults at the same time is everything I wanted

[X] Plan: Preparing for the Unknown

I like this one, gets some nice things like the Shipyard started which will be needed once we want to build ships to contest space… still worried how well that will go. But hopefully Sphere gives some nice tech to help us space rats

Is there something I'm missing about the Orbital Shipyards that has all the leading plans putting off their completion for yet another turn? They're not a capstone action or something, they're a prerequisite that we need to do in order to unlock a bunch more space actions. If we want to have a major space presence outside of Luna, or any kind of significant Black Navy once the Malket Configuration is gone, we want to get it out of the way sooner rather than later so we don't end up trying to cram everything we want to do in right before the storm fades.

It's kind of in a weird state right now, as it was meant to be completed I think? But scuff happened.

I'm hoping to get it done next turn. I want High Energy Lab this turn because it gives ACD points and Network. I want Network because I want to get Advanced Therapy before the Mal'ket Configuration falls because 40k is a shitty galaxy and we'll need all the mental resilience we can. And the big ticket items will most likely be constraint by Network capacity (we definitely want at least 1 level of Deep Space Monitor- and each stage takes a Network point for example)

We also definitely need more ACD because our tech is pretty bad right now.
