I'm surprised there's been little talk about dealing with the trio. If I were Taylor, I'd worry about them selling her identity to gangs, or framing her to look like a villian.

1) it's been five whole days, the trio think Taylor is dead or she ran away from home
2) LSD allows Taylor to change her appearance at will, a secret identity isn't a problem.

nope, very explicitally the means of movements for those charms that require you to be moving fast must be your own speed, no vehicles or mounts.
Also, wind borne stride is a bonus to dashing speed, not riding a bike speed.

Also, noticeably, it makes hurting the people you love count as being compassionate.

There's a reason this is one of Adorjan's theme songs:

"She punched you in the mouth!" "I know, hot, right?" "He broke a baseball bat over your back!" "Yep! *giggle* He's thoughtful like that."

[X] Fuck Figuring out the Cape Conundrums
--Your father needed you. You were all the family either of you had. You were more than willing to drop any and everything to be there when he needed you.
-[X] "Sure dad, I'd love to see you," you manage, trying not to break down in tears again. "Um, one more thing? Something happened while I was gone, and I look a little, well a lot different. Please don't freak out when see me okay?" You hang up the phone and ask the nurse manning the front desk for directions to your dad's room. The nurse leads you through to dull white halls of the hospital, while you twiddle your extra jointed thumbs, trying, and failing, to think of how you're going to broach the topics at hand with your dad. After a walk that felt both incredibly long and all too short, the nurse opens the door to your dad's room. You poke your head in, and as you see him lying in a bed, hooked up to a variety of machines, you manage to eek out, "Hi, dad."

As an aside: Theft as Release is one of my absolute favorite charms in the game.

"Yes, pet." Coil said to....wait. What was he talking about? He had no pets.

Elsewhere, Taylor sprinted away, the little girl riding piggyback as the Infernal rushed away at super speed from the villain's lair. "My precog now."

It's right up there with By Rage Recast/Devil-Tyrant Avatar Shintai.

As a side note: the yan-yan tendencies of Adorjan can be hilarious when combined with Kimberry's Naivete effect.

"I-I'm flattered, but I just don't like you that way."

"Bitch, I just tried to knock your damn block off."

"And it was sweet and all, but my heart belongs to another, so pleeeeaaaase stop trying to flirt with me."

"....the FUCK?!"

As I was reading your explanation of Adorjani charms, all I could think was that, simply by existing, someone with those abilities moves the Coil-o-meter up a few notches. It appears I wasn't the only one.

And deals with the guilt by being even bitchier than usual.

TBH, if our disappearance hasn't affected the trio in any way I'm going to be disappointed. Doesn't have to anything major, just something.
Oh, it most definitely has. Aside from the grudge Victoria now has against them.

@Schielman
By that do you mean the Coil-is-fucked-o-meter?

I knew I had read it somewhere, it took a while to find. Here, the charm to fuck tattletale power, by Earthscorpion
Axis of the World Obsession
Cost: — ; Mins: Adorjan 0, Essence 4; Type: Permanent

Keywords: None

Duration: Permanent

Prerequisite Charms: Tragic Love Amusement

When Adorjan loves, it is like a great cyclone of amorous, obsessive devotion swirling around and around one lonely soul. All can see it, and compared to the terrible force of her passion, all of her other breezes are as nothing. For as long as the warlock has even one Intimacy created by Tragic Love Amusement, she distorts any effect that would reveal her Intimacies, emotional state, motives, Motivation or Urge (such as Sagacious Reading of Intent, or a mundane attempt at deciphering her motives). Her only Intimacies that can be revealed are those created by Tragic Love Amusement. Her dominant emotion and motive is always revealed to be "Sincere Love", regardless of her actual state. Her Motivation or Urge is always revealed to be one of the Intimacies created by Tragic Love Amusement, rephrased as a Motivation.

Against any Charm which would contest this effect, the Infernal adds her (Essence + Compassion) successes to the roll-off. This effect comes at at a price, for Adorjan is nothing but honest in the affairs of her heart. Intimacies created by Tragic Love Amusement act as temporary Urges, for as long as they exist, following all the same mechanics as a normal Urge. Acting against them results in Limit as usual, for one must indeed be mad to work against a love so pure and passionate.

Of course, there is also the Pyrian alternative,
COLD COMFORT TRANSPARENCY

Cost: — ; Mins: Essence 3; Type: Permanent

Keywords: None

Duration: Permanent

Prerequisite Charms: Binary Instruction Implementation

The faceless idea of authority is clear as crystal, inscrutable as a glass mural. Any attempt to read the Infernal's motives, understand her emotional reactions or attachments, or otherwise understand the reasoning behind one of her actions suffers an external penalty equal to her (Essence). This includes mental influence (generally Investigation-based) aimed at making her reveal her motives, but does not include lie detection. It also applies to any attempt to directly read her thoughts, regardless of the attempt's intent. Characters who fail to understand the Infernal's motives due to this Charm are left with a sense that she is simply beyond their comprehension, a vast, cool and unsympathetic intellect. Attempts made by the Infernal's hierarchical inferiors automatically fail, while those made by her superiors are entirely unaffected.

With Essence 4+, the Infernal's player can spend a point of Willpower to render any action this Charm penalizes Obvious to her, negating it in the process.

[X] Dad's in the hospital, Armsmaster and Brandish want to know whats going on, and you've gotten Panacia's attention. Why don't you kill two/three birds with one stone.
-[X] "It's ok dad, I'll see you soon" Sighing, you ended the call, paused for a second, then purposefully strode forward in search of Armsmaster and Brandish. Or Glory Girl and Panacea, they would do too, in a pinch. Your dad was on enough medications to be clearly hallucinating, confusing your home with a hospital. The authorities had questions for you, and a healer on hand. Clearly, someone needed to bring dad here. You gave Armsmaster your address, and asked to bring dad here, while trying to persuade Panacea to heal him.

The only part where Adorjan makes poor synergy with SWLiHN is in having excellencies which cover different situations...which isn't actually poor synergy so much as having versatility due to covering different bases. SWLiHN doesn't care about what range you attack from. Adorjan only cares that you attack at close range, not whether you fight with a melee-range-only attack or a ranged-capable one. The one that mandates fighting from range is the Ebon Dragon. Hell, given the propensity to fire them in close, I'm pretty sure Adorjan would outright approve of the typical movie and videogame usages of the sawed-off shotgun.

Less of "doesn't work" and more along the lines of "have to give up the range advantage to work" really.

Yep. But it compensates by having the range advantage cease to be an advantage regarding you, as dodging ranged attacks becomes trivially easy. Ranged attacks from mortal extras don't cost anything to perfect away at that point.
