The rolls were largely terrible but at least we passed and the RER was above 50. And we now have a calamity frame key on top of the calamity frame guide fragment we already had. Interesting.

What is the possible motivation of the Spirit of Oskaria in bringing the mount that contained the calamity frame key to our attention? Did it not know that a key was there or it wanted us to find the key all along?

And there's the important roll I was looking for.

Calamity Frame Key acquired.

Oh God, we're getting closer and closer to summoning an isekai protagonist to pilot our Mecha in a desperate gamble to save the nation from [insert bad guy here].

We've got the science guy, the badass leader that can't pilot the robot, the waifu, and supporting side characters to fill our our cast already!

Working Title:
I was summoned to a fantasy world to pilot Mecha, so why am I the taxman now?!?

I did say that anybody who could pilot a Calamity Frame could command such power as to bring the whole world to heel, did I not?

In any case, you are still far from being able to pilot a Calamity Frame - you have only a manual and a key, and they may not refer to the same Frame. You also lack the tools to do maintenance on a Calamity Frame, to repair the wear and tear those great colossi suffered during their great battles and the literal millenia of neglect, as well as perhaps the most important part of them all - you lack a Calamity Frame in the first place :V

In other news, you also get a first rate divination compass, a vestment that casts a light suggestion that you appear better than you actually are, and a beautiful set of interlinked abacuses that you're sure will save you great amounts of time, but yes, you also happen to have a key to a Calamity Frame.

Wait, we got the Robes option from turn 6 as well? Ye gods we've lucked out.

First of all, I have to say that the premise of this quest is awesome. An agent of the crown set loose on the hapless nobles and stuff. It's at a... what's the word, level(?) below the usual CKII fare, which usually treats things like these as abstract stuff that is determined only by a single dice roll. This kind of thing is very refreshing.

@huhYeahGoodPoint From what I've read it seems that protagonist has some very lofty ambitions, considering that he thought a Calamity Frame would accelerate it by decades. Do we have any idea about what ambition is that besides to straighten out the nobility? Also, has the protagonist already met the royal family? Not in-quest but in the past? Does he think they are worthy of his loyalty and competence or are they obstacles he has to move around? The king as depicted seemed to be in a very pitiable state, but what about the other members?

While I am glad all of the actions passed and the random event roll was decent, I am also frustrated that we brought the box, got a roll over 90 on it and it turned out to be useless. That is a waste of 4 Budget and a high roll right there.

I mean, it's not useless. If we can't do anything else with it, this is literally the 'Forget nuclear option, everyone's already launched!' option of getting rid of a target by sneaking it into their belongings. Just uh... Make sure it's not someone who could possibly ever use it.

What can we do with it then if it isn't useless? Edit: I get that it can technically be used for stuff, but there is no practical use that we can put it to.

Given that this option has only come up once and disappeared after we didn't take it, it isn't exactly something we can do.
