[X] Plan Handing Off to the Locals

Okay, I basically want to hand things off to the locals so we can pull out. Transferring Command for Martial while Diplo goes towards helping the province get its act back together. Intrigue goes towards dealing with any troublemakers while Stewardship is us finally doing our report since we are planning to go back to the capital. Learning goes for the only option available to us while Piety is a mixture of doubling down on Transferred Justice and dealing with the ghost situation.

@huhYeahGoodPoint At which point will we get the option to go back to the capital and wrap up the case?

When you successfully Transfer Justice, that's basically going to be the point where I put up the Case Closed Screen as well as the interlude votes.

Best to let the countess do her job if we do any more then she may as well look for another job.

On a less pessimistic subject, @huhYeahGoodPoint does the fact that July and August are months in this universe an indication that Julius and Augustus Ceaser are both canon to the quest? Similarly with January and others for just the Roman pantheon?
Or did they get named for other stuff and are just coincidentally the same.
I'm a lazy hack, that's why :V
How did it go from tax fraud investigation to ghost outbreaks?
Wildest medieval IRS department ever.
Look, it has something to do with your job because clearly if you allow the ghosts to remain on the mortal plane that allows the peasants to kick back the money they got in inheritances back to their rightfully alive owner and then due to the ghost's inability to use those finances due to being slightly ghosty, declare themselves a regency - and thus demand back taxes from the government based on illicit taxation of alive inheritances while still spending the money basically tax-free, while the landholders try to shift their labor allocations based on the number of alive and ghost people under their control but continue to pay taxes based on the ghost people because surprisingly King Melka I never got around to fixing those loopholes and -

You see, sometimes it's just easier to banish the ghosts.

Makes sense. :p
Is there at least another department that you can bill for your stellar (assuming) and totally not part of your job ghostbusting services?

@huhYeahGoodPoint, was the conclave always going to ban the potato?

Also, I'm on break and don't have time to make a plan, but I think we should use at least one more month to pit the trials to bed. I'm increasingly convinced all these problems are interconnected, and fixing one area will make the neighbours better too.

The wider Gathering was pretty much always going to ban the potato, yeah. It's too much agricultural productivity and the other spirits pretty much banded together to say "it's okay in lower-margin lands (read: ours) but we can't let our rivals get that kind of food production". In other news, I'm probably closing voting sometime between and because I need to get up early tomorrow for some errands; the earlier I close voting the more likely it is I can get an update early tomorrow.

In other words, no one because they are too busy preventing each other from implementing it to go about getting it themselves, leaving peasants fuming over not being able to live not starving thanks to everything........

Cant help but wonder if a civil war would improve the situation...........

We actually prevented the people sing of revolution once and while the amount of murder and death that happened to this province could be considered a mini-civil war well.... it's not our problem after we leave.

Honesty, it would be interesting to see a negaverse quest perspective on the nation that is always a few steps away from revolution, so deep in the gutter they are used to their nation constantly being on fire.....

From whose perspective though, a frustrated revolutionary wondering around the countryside, perpetually stopped just one step from his goal? A government flunky desperately trying to keep everything together (no wait, that our PC). The king, in a sort of CK2-esque nation quest?
