[X] Civics, Edward Teach- It would be naive to think that you're not going to eventually run into problems with the government, Valish or otherwise, and learning about them and the general political history of the Kingdoms would be really useful to have before you need it. Besides, the horse Faunus at the table just pulled a ten-minute rant about the SDC and why megacorps in general are bad news. He seems like a hoot. (Noted classmates: Weiss, Blake, Creme, Dove, Cardin, Salem.)
[X] Legends Of Remnant, Bartholomew Oobleck- … It might be a little too early to tell, but if Ozpin really is exactly what you think he is, then maybe joining a club all about discussing and dissecting legends isn't a terrible idea. (Noted Classmates: Lumen, Pyrrha. Sidequest: Wheat From Chaff.)
[X] Aura Arts, Thumbelina Peach- "Have you been neglecting your Aura, sweetheart?" the woman behind the table asks you, which is a question you're... not, sure how to answer. When you stay silent, all she does is smile. "Don't worry- a lot of people do." (Noted Classmates: Rashmi and Kapila, Ren, Ada, Meri. Sidequest: Pallas In Virgo.)
[X] Securities, Ann Greene- So this one's actually kinda interesting- considering the demonstration started with Professor Greene showing you how to use two wrenches to snap open a padlock and ended with an explanation on the very core of most confidence scams, you're pretty sure this entire elective is based around… what, teaching you all how to commit crimes? Well, your interest is piqued. (Noted Classmates: Lumen, Blake, Ren. Sidequest: The Great Pretender)

[X] Music, Peter Port- {Look, all we're saying is that you have the voice of an angel and not sharing it with the world is a sin that will bite you in the ass when you die.} That's, really not your problem- {Ada's there.} Ada is a big girl who doesn't need you to mother hen her every waking moment- {Also Weiss joined up.} WHAT DOES THAT HAVE TO DO WITH ANYTHING- (Noted Classmates: Weiss, Ada, Haru)

Well, yeah. The Institution, at least, has been doing this for longer than Jaune has had his semblance. Maybe the teachers, too.
But, Semblances are supposed to be unique.
And Jaune's, which spawned a few AI's, is more unique than most.
It'd be outside of the scope of a regularly trained professional. They'd also need a degree in a computer science field or something.

The equivalent would be sending someone to a psychiatrists for aggression problems.
Where the aggression problems were the result of someone poisoning the guy with meth.
There's no underlying problem, it's was an outside influence.
It's not a problem that needs therapy.

The point is that Jaune's semblance works fine, it works better than fine.
The issue isn't Jaune, the issue is getting struck with soul attacks.

Semblance counseling isn't therapy, it sounds more like general brainstorming to improve the things and cover weak points that using them heavily may leave in your style, and overall lessons regarding the similarities and differences of semblances. Our fault or someone else's, one of those weak points was very distinctly revealed during initiation. We really should get that process interface tested and functional ASAP, and then might want to think about ways to minimize the issues if for whatever reason we don't have access to it either. Sure, if we don't have the process or the transistor, we have way bigger problems, but if we have way bigger problems, that also means we really don't want our brain exploding.

Also, the slab of calculations provoked that poisoning. If anything, we *may* be one of the few that needs more traditional counseling regarding our semblance - relationship counseling, to get blue and bracket to actually talk to us before they go and poke the ancient we-don't-know-what-that-does. :V

In addition, there are the ways that we could help other folks there, and in doing so further help ourselves, something that they probably could have determined with minimal investigation into the folks back home.

But how can you guys say no to Guerilla Gardening?

Especially when we can literally open up the earth for it? :V

If any of these options are ripe for shenanigans, it is this one and I want in!

Part of me really wanted to go with that, and if we had five instead of four I'm not sure if I'd go with it or CQC, but alas not only am I biased towards music but it's fitting given the crossover.

[X] Ловење, Готвење, и Готвење За Ловење, Кувар Волков Сплот- You stare at the sign, waiting for the translation to appear, only for Blue to tell you that it's not any language he's seen- the alphabet's the same as Lower Atlesian, but that's where the similarities end. Okay, visual cues… the man behind the counter is wearing a chef's outfit, down to the weird hat… some kind of cooking class? Very curious. (Sidequest: The 'Кувар Сплот' Mystery. Noted Classmates: Meri, Ruby, Nora, like half of the guys, what-)
[X] Gardening, Groundskeeper Tom Forn- … Okay, this stall is empty. Just a clipboard and some displays about the elective itself. Weird. Shouldn't there be someone here? (Sidequest: Putting Down Roots)
-[X] You jump back a little as a hand appears out from under the cloth and quickly attaches a hand-scribbled sign with the word 'guerilla' on it to the placard advertising this stall's elective. Once it's done that, the curtain opens, and a half-covered face peers out at you, placing a finger to their lips beneath the pooled fabric of their scarf. Slowly, they slide a small clipboard out across the floor and then pull the tablecloth closed. So... t
his is the guerilla gardening club. (Sidequest: Like A Passionflower)

Aura arts and glyphcraft are probably useful

Music 'cause Jaune is good at it and weifus gotta weifu

CQC 'cause Ozpin, and should be mildly useful

Do you mean the source material? Transistor is a video game made by the same people that made Bastion, if you know that one. It's the story of a singer named Red and her revenge alongside the Transistor which absorbed the consciousness of her dead boyfriend. Tbh I'm not huge into the lore of that game, so I could be entirely wrong.

If you mean the Transistor in story, It's a giant sentient sword made of MATH that Jaune offloads all the heavy processing of his Semblance onto.

This'un is difficult choices. CQC could be fantastic, but pragmatism says Civics. Aura Arts could allow for refinement of the analysis used for other semblances. Music is, of course, absolutely necessary, even if it weren't for the potential morale applications and de-stressing possibilities. Glyphcraft is also more options and refinement.

But man that CQC still looks tasty.

Civics especially seems to be the class equivalent of THUNDERDOME. Weiss, Blake, Cardin, Dove, all in the same room? Discussing politics? The blood will flow in rivers! Glorious. CQC is nice because WOOOO BOY seeing Ozpin fight is going to be great. Music is obvious, let us serenade Weiss.

it's a shame the Pyrrha classes are all so... out of the way. Alas, we will have to do pyrrha route outside of classes. or in our common classes.

Yeah I meant the source material and how ot relates to this story. Thx.

[X] Plan: Bandwagon 2: Electric Boogaloo

Music and civics sounds great, because how will Jaune be a Red expy without the voice of a god(dess), and because I need Blackbeard teaching civics in my life.

The other two just sound nice, in my opinion. Always like Ozpin being involved in a story, and Professor Peach needs more screentime.

I was tempted to put this in a plan, but from what I can tell, barely anyone is doing actual planned voting, unfortunately. So, here are the electives I've chosen. Honestly, I wish I could have grabbed more of the huntsman electives, but we had a cap of three on them. While we could theoretically take all of the civilian ones, I didn't want to overburden ourselves. (Note, @Prok only says we need to choose a minimum of one civilian elective).

I chose the civilian classes that I thought were most interesting, though I almost picked guerrilla gardening over probably cooking.

For our huntsman electives I attempted to play to our strengths. Gunmanship might be nice, but our main weapon is a 'sword' that we can use to channel esoteric abilities we create through the power of math. This leads to the glyph craft, because we're already pretty good at programming, so who knows what we can do when we start working with glyphs. We might even be able to help Weiss with her semblance.

For the others, I'm assuming CQC is a combination of melee weapons and barehanded instruction, both of which are helpful. If we're ever separated from the transistor, (like say it's stuck in a wall on the other side of the room) being able to punch a guy properly might be useful.

Finally; Aura Arts. Think of the things we can do with math once we pass this class!

UPDATE READ, MAD EXCITEMENT
Preliminary thoughts, no votes yet
We can afford to skim on a couple of these, because we have friends we can piggyback off of if worse comes to worst. Like passing on civics because Creme and Weiss are already taking it, etc.
Now, I was going to pick music and cooking for civilian electives, but then I read the sidequest for Guerilla gardening, and went dammit prok stop making all the options look good.
I CAN'T HOLD ALL THESE CHOICES

I'd really like CQC as well, both for Ozpin interaction and to shore up Jaune's abilities without the transistor, but I think Aura Arts does the latter while also being useful while using the transistor. Civics is pretty obvious. Others have mentioned Glyphcraft would help us with Dust difficulties and that it might synergize with the Process. I debated dropping Music for CQC, but I feel like Jaune needs some relaxation and the potential character interactions seem fantastic. Also Weiss is there. Honestly, Prok made this one hell of a tough choice.
