I'll go back and update the plan everywhere, in case that's the issue. We both vote for the plan name, not sure why it hasn't updated?
Has someone else, who perhaps overwrote their vote, the old plan still posted somewhere?

As far as those go, I'd say we have, uh... none? If we were combat-focused, our last 100 xp would be something like E3, Opened Eye and Spattering grease, and then we'd talk with those Malks with a full confidence that we could make them go squish with minimal effort.
There is no textev to that effect that Nemesis gets some sort of exemption. Not all Outsiders are created equal, though. Gatekeeper can't see Nemesis passing through the Outer Gates because it is already on the inside, and it is pretty special.
I dont think so.It's far better to spend an action point to get her a five point familiar, I feel. Our money levels should easily allow us to travel to Japan / China (Japan is easier - no need for a visa) and there we could d
Temple dogs are super rare, even in their homeland.I agree that getting her a familiar is a good idea. Getting her one via spending XP is not. Go find Mouse's litter mate (or some other temple dog - I am fairly sure one can be found willing to enter Lydia's service). Or a golden crow. Or some manner of Rat King.
@DragonParadoxSo, there are four viable XP expenditure plans floating around, but apparently the current lead plan won't work because @uju32 hasn't fixed the XP being spent on Lydia's Occult boost.
By the same logic, circlemates should also be a background. Yet, we got Lydia over the course of the quest. Let's ask: @DragonParadox can we get Lydia a familiar via IC effort, such as, for example, using a crown to find an orphan golden crow egg?I dont think so.
Familiars are one of the Backgrounds you're supposed to buy if you want story protection for them, and not just their getting killed off IIRC. Else we'd just wait until she gets that animal boosting charm and just get some mundane animals.
I do not consider it plausible that we can expect to get a supernatural animal familiar for free by spending AP.
Let alone a 5 dot familiar, worth 15xp, and with its own native charms and Aspects.
At best it offers you the opportunity to buy that creature as a familiar.
Lydia is also pretty damn unique, and we can use the Crown to look for Mouse's litter mates, or temple dogs available for adoption in general. And yes, it'll take AP and IC quest.Temple dogs are super rare, even in their homeland.
There's a reason the last warlock literally had to travel to Nepal/Tibet to steal a young litter, and the custodians sent a monk to the US to get them back. Rare enough that Ancient Mai literally gasped at seeing one with Dresden.
They arent just dogs, and you cant just expect to pick them up. Mouse's litter has undoubtedly found their vocations by now.
Just like Mouse has.
Mind, I am hoping she picks up a dog, or pair of dogs, later as well.
But not now. A bird of the raven/owl type, given their stat block in Bygone Bestiary, expands her capabilities and themes better than dogs right now, and is easier to move around with.
@DragonParadox
Is this accurate? Because I thought I asked about Abilities cost for Lydia?
Does she use Favored costs or unFavored costs for her Abilities?
Circle mates are NPCs that come with their own plot baggage and entanglements.By the same logic, circlemates should also be a background. Yet, we got Lydia over the course of the quest. Again, see above.Lydia is also pretty damn unique, and we can use the Crown to look for Mouse's litter mates, or temple dogs available for adoption in general. And yes, it'll take AP and IC quest.
Ugh.You asked about charms from what I recall, she does not have favored abilities, she has favored attributes like a Lunar
Seems like the Touch of Frost buydown would be the easiest thing to axe for XP.
Yes, but it was specifically asked for by some of the people commenting when I was writing the plan.Seems like the Touch of Frost buydown would be the easiest thing to axe for XP.
If it helps, Touch of Frost is the major thing why I'm not voting for you.Yes, but it was specifically asked for by some of the people commenting when I was writing the plan.
Which is why its there, else I would have waited until after Mab.
And I dont like changing things I agreed to put in.
We will probably want to decrease it (or, rather, make our frost aura manageable) by the time we go to school. If it helps, Touch of Frost is the major thing why I'm not voting for you.
I definitly want to stay creepy to nearby mortals.

Ok I will do it🤷
I think I have a responsibiliy to stay as close to the original plan as possible.
Cant help it.
@ImBuda
You're the only person who copied the entire plan and its details
If I drop Occult 2, you may have to revote as either []Plan Wintersteel Raven OR []uju32
Are you okay with that?
Thank you.
Someone had set divide votes to None, currently retallying. The rally is being weird. Any reason it would not be counting @uju32's new plan with everyone else who has voted for it?
Try again. The rally is being weird. Any reason it would not be counting @uju32's new plan with everyone else who has voted for it?
Any chance you could be convinced to postpone boosting Empathy to 4 in order to pick up Rendered Villain Dispersal?Thank you.
Updated vote: dropping Occult 2 from Lydia, so we have 1xp excess in the bank.

The reason I felt nervous was that we were low on essence going in. A problem that RVD would have taken care of.As far as those go, I'd say we have, uh... none? ...Well, we actually wouldn't be talking because DP would've thrown something more heavy-weight at us, but still. We don't have many of our core combat charms.
I am not sure why you quoted me?The reason I felt nervous was that we were low on essence going in. A problem that RVD would have taken care of.
It would also make it easier for her to touch her family. We will probably want to decrease it (or, rather, make our frost aura manageable) by the time we go to school.
Empathy 4 + All Things Betray are cornerstones of the plan's social focus.Any chance you could be convinced to postpone boosting Empathy to 4 in order to pick up Rendered Villain Dispersal?
Next turn is likely just before we get back to school, or close to it. We'll need to control our frost aura, and we'll want to buy alchemy 2 for "one hour of sleep" potion. Ideally also ability enhancers, but that's way too costly (remember, we buy recipes separately from the path dots). We probably want to buy Awareness 2 at least, that's one thing we are sorely lacking. And/or politics (in fact, that we aren't buying politics right now might be a mistake). Not sure we'll have space for RVD.Empathy 4 + All Things Betray are cornerstones of the plan's social focus.
Empathy 4 really is that important in my opinion.
Both for the coming Mab visit, and potentially both the renegade Whampires in Undertown, and Lara Raith.
RVD next turn. I promise.
Mostly arguing for RVD and what you said was another case where it would have been useful. RVD just generally allows us to increase our tempo of action. Molly can spend most travel time in a bleach jar. If we always arrive with a full essanse pool then we can go more all in on most actions.
