Green Flame Rising (Exalted vs Dresden Files)

We still haven't actually done what we came here for. Odin is as close or closer to getting the lunar depending on if the dragon rolling over in their sleep was detectable.

"But I... what?" It would be unkind to say she gasps like a fisk on land, though not innacurate.

"In recognition for the great opportunity you lead to us, all unexpected." From the tone you are guessing this is half and half reward and punishment. It turned out OK, but she had started talking family secrets in front of strangers at a meuseum.
Has she taken her second breath or are we going to need to bombard her with magic radiation till she gains mutant powers?

Actually, think we could staple the rubber nipple from a baby bottle to an essence vessel to feed dragon bloods juiced elemental spirits? We're an infernal, so helping the poor babies chew on their first souls is positively neighborly.

"[Great words summon many bearers, travel/echo far]"
Evidently Voldemort rules are in full effect and then some cause that dragon is several miles off and we didn't say his name but he heard anyway or maybe this is moreso a byproduct of the Leyline connection to this place and us using SCCP. Then again saying Mab and Titania's name three times summons them so this is probably just one of those DF things that makes me question how the setting is realistically even intact right now.

Still need to go for the Exaltation or whatever it is and Odin's people probably heard/felt that.

Oh yeah, that's a big Dragon. Crazy to think that just stirring slightly in its sleep is enough to shake the earth, but that's probably also because it's right on the leyline.

Even crazier to think that Michael killed something like that.

She is Dragon Touched, not a full on Exalt right now, though she is young enough that she might Exalt

Saying their names three times makes them hear you, but they can just ignore the summons, you are not compelling Incarna scale beings. We see this from Harry whose summons do not get ignored for reason of who he is and when he calls

I think as previously discussed Odin can get the prison of Exaltation. But it is not a fact that he will be able to find who will receive the shard upon activation. The same is true for us, but...

That's a lose condition because it'll not only let the lunar out to do whatever, it'll effectively sterilize the last holdouts of the Dragonblooded exaltation we're aware of.

I understand, I'm just saying that Odin will most likely end up with nothing but the prison wreckage for Exaltation. But yeah, we shouldn't give him that anyway.

OK. At this point I have to object and relitigage the previously voted for vote, @DragonParadox

[X] Actually you have more to say before you go
-[X] Explain to them how the thing that Odin seeks is powerjng their bloodline, producing more exalts
-[X] Offer geomantic upgrades to their dragon nest

We have voted for thwt. I aim to see that actually done.

I don't really care about Odin in particular not having it. The thing getting loose for anyone, especially without some sort of replacement if that's even possible at all, are just different flavors of loss for us.

There's no point in framing it as a consolation prize.

Just saying.. he was using a dues ex machina Sword and the Dragon gave him a free shot out of suicidal arrogance. Not many ways that could've went.

but they can just ignore the summons
Yeah but the fact that all you have to do is know and say a name a few times to get the attention of an Incarna scale being still draws the question of how this setting is intact. Summoning is way to easy and scale of power of the being you want to summon doesn't seem to effect this fact in of itself much. The fact that they can ignore or kill you then get back to what they were doing doesn't change this.

Theoretically as someone pointed out if the Exaltation was in a NeverNever realm without people could Odin not use it to limit its available options then introduce humans to said realm? Though Odin might not have control over any of those.

I removed the word questions from the what, because we aren't asking, we are providing information.

We aren't the only party in our conversations, and they have a natural flow to them. This is why my competitor to your second to last plan for this made a point of tying that information into what we were doing where it fit instead of assuming it would happen on its own as the situation changed.

Also, we have a lot of commitments for our crafting time already to be handing it out to people who seem not to need it right now.

He would need something like the Seal of Eight Divinities, but it would definitely help. Also fate weaving. And yes, I have a detailed plan to stack the deck when we need tk do it.

[jk] Take her to Chicago
-[jk] The Last Station
--[jk] "And this is Porter!" Molly gestures to the guardian of Last Station, who is currently occupied pretending to be a pony so a young ghoul girl wearing a cowboy hat can ride him around under the bemused stares of her parents. "He's a dragon, too, but not quite as...hefty, as the one from your homeland."

Would he actually? I'm pretty sure that having limited options was how Molly got hers. Also you keep mentioning this plan of yours. You do not have to keep mentioning this and given that you are well aware not everyone even wants to do it, it just looks like your trying to start something at this point.

Exaltations do take proximity into account, I think, so it would help. But to make certain, he'd need an isolated realm, as I understand it.

OK, fair point. We still need to share the information.

Yeah. The bit about Odin possibly screwing their bloodline over needs to be brought up. It's not enough that we make a better offer we also need to put it out there that Odin tried pulling the wool over their eyes because I'm convinced he didn't tell them. Regardless of anything else it needs to be said.

Whatever else we do we better do fast though. Odin's people should have the dragons location now or be able to get it after all of that.

To be dairy to him, he almost certainly doesn't know of this effect

I don't think that's the case because of Molly's inner monologue here.
A thought comes to out like lightning from the blue, to the dragonblooded know that the thing the dragon guards, the treasure Odin wants might is the very thing that allowed their bloodline to endure. One would hope so, but you can't help but recall that the Old Man is known for trickery second only to Loki. How to you even ask that without coming off as hostile... and given all the debts you already owe.
I get the impression that either Molly just assumed he'd know or is considering the possibility and the likelihood of it being mentioned or that was DP letting it slip on accident.
