And all the others that voted for this by copying the plan:

The second bracket on the stunt part is borked, wrong type of bracket.

I wonder how ostracized she is by the other denarians right now. Because at least some of them probably suspect that she actually allied with us, and Tiffany is actually working for her as intended.
Why would they care?
The Denarians define themselves by having opinions and often their own tasks. Nicodemus and his wife lead two factions that often work at cross-purposes with each other, and almost never cooperate. Lasciel being a rebel angel is a shrug worthy moment.

Frankly, if that was true, it would mean that she'd found a loophole somehow in the White God's rules that allowed her to create a superhuman minion that still took her orders.
And thats something they would find Very Valuable and celebrate.

Thanks. Fixed.

Something I missed on my first read:
Once it had been a kitsune, but the ancient markings had long been worn down replaced with blacked tear streaks, a final mockery of the husk that wears it.
Lost 1 Essence -> Now at 13/15 (MHM)
More run beside it, like a wolf-pack running down prey, all wearing the ruined visages of the hengeyokai cast in silver, the worlds' guardians turned feral hunting beasts of Yomi.
There are Changing Breeds here in this AU.
And by that I dont mean the shapeshifters over at UChicago, who appear to be more likely to be Sorcery Path shifters, aligned to either Shapeshifting OR Spirit Chasing(wolf spirits)

I mean Fera. By which I mean one or more of the following breeds:
1.1 Ajaba (werehyenas)
1.2 Ananasi (werespiders)
1.3 Apis (wereaurochs)
1.4 Bastet (werecats)
1.5 Camazotz (werebats)
1.6 Corax (wereravens)
1.7 Grondr (wereboars)
1.8 Gurahl (werebears)
1.9 Hakken (werewolves)
1.10 Kitsune (werefoxes)
1.11 Mokolé (werecrocodiles)
1.12 Nagah (weresnakes)
1.13 Nuwisha (werecoyotes)
1.14 Ratkin (wererats)
1.15 Rokea (weresharks)
We have confirmation of Kitsune at a bare minimum, which has its own mechanical consequences for Molly.
There might even be Garou about, though I assume there arent anything like the WoD tribes.

I wonder how ostracized she is by the other denarians right now. Because at least some of them probably suspect that she actually allied with us, and Tiffany is actually working for her as intended.
I doubt they'd sincerely believe she did this intentionally. They might speculate on it to hurt her, but that's because they're bastards.

Remember that what we did to free Tiffany was so unprecedented that doing caused Enochian to spontaneously generate a new word for how it for how it hurt Lasciel because no existing element could describe it.

Hell and Heaven basically had to have a summit over how to handle it and got an eyeful of the aftermath as factions. If anything this kinda sounds like a "Cain inventing murder" scenario, and she's Abel. It just seems less serious from the mortal perspective than the Angel one.

Not trying to hype us up here, just sketch what I think the response profile will be. The Fallen hate each other as much as anyone else, but they're Floridians watching a chimp eat a woman's face in a strip mall parking lot. It's unlikely in my view that anyone's going to seriously contemplate if she secretly partnered with a chimp to performatively allow it to flay her face off and eat it like a taquito as part of an insurance fraud scheme.

Why would they care?

I think we can take Tiffany's word in the Angel reaction and we know they got the gory details. Makes it seem unlikely that it wouldn't provoke some sort of emotional response or that they'd seriously suspect her of arranging it.

If you want more information on this you could ask the vampire you are presently raiding Yomi with, though do keep in mind he is probably going to be biased. What Molly knows about the hengeyokai is that they had quite a few wars with the Jade Court over what seem to be both resources, mundane and magical, and ideological differences i.e. the shapechangers did not think blood drinking corpses should rule humanity from the shadows.

This is DF, I'd assume some other sort of shifter spirit or even a cut down version of specific Fera before full fat versions of any of them. Particularly Garou, who do not fit the setting well at all.

Yeah, Im definitely curious.
Maybe Molly can ask while they are setting up in whatever bolthole she acquires.

Full fat versions of the Fera would pretty much fit in the setting without any alteration, besides maybe the Nezumi.
The Garou would require a lot more alteration though, but even they arent exactly impossible; see the tribe of wolf-people that Harry ran into in Mississippi during the comic Dog-Men.

By mechanical consequences for Molly, I mean that the presence of Kitsune means the presence of the Fox Magic Merit.
Which is now something she can choose to convey.

Isn't the jade court very different in quest compared to wod? Since their far more isolationist than canon.

Well yes, they are not trying to take over the West Coast, but that does not really impact their feelings on who should really be in charge in areas they have been around in for millennia.

More on this in the morning, it is too late for me to be doing an informational post.

Doesn't DF cannon have them all hang out in one valley? It's one of the only things we were told about them.

Doesn't sound like an expansionist power to me.

Except that powerful mostly mortal shape shifters aren't really a thing in the DF. There are a few like the cursed strain of werewolf, but mostly it's not as powerful and it's more of a special type of magic than a changling breed thing.

The core of their power, and a hard no-go area is the Yangtze Valley in China.
The heart of Chinese civilization and home to half a billion people.
Outside it, they allegedly work through proxies.

They dont appear expansionist, but they are long-lived if not immortal.
They certainly work on time scales not really relevant to many mortal civilizations; they barely recognize China as a thing.

Not a thing in the Dresden Files books. Where the PoV is Harry.
And the RPG does seem to suggest that organized groups arent really prominent in North America. Which leaves a lot of the globe more or less undefined.

Whether or not its a thing in the Dresdenverse is something canon doesnt rule definitively on.

The Miksani are a Native American tribe of mortal shapeshifters, but they are currently sworn to Winter.
It may well be that most, if any, powerful shapeshifters are out near the Wall.
Would fit with the whole "defender of reality" thing they have.

Considering the Kenku alone I'm fairly sure there are dozens of smaller organizations across the world if not more like them or the svartalves. No idea about garou but dresden files IS a fantasy kitchen sink.

Molly could totally manage that bluff if Tiffany plays along even a little bit.

Arc 12 Post 70: Turning the Screw
Turning the Screw

28th of January 2007 A.D.

The first thing you notice is the smell, a mix of acrid chemicals, human waste and under it all just the faintest whiff of charnel smell then the sound calling to mind the sound of a distant jet engine, but from the inside somehow, digging into the back of the skull like a dentist's drill. Instinctively you try to land, literally ground yourself only to end up in an awkward hop as the 'ground' proves to be a mess of tangled wires and contorted pipes sloping inwards into a crater with something unpleasant slopping at the bottom.

Boiling Sea Mastery -1 DC

Trying to blink away the smog makes the buzzing worse, covering your ears makes your tongue taste like something had drank bleach and died on it, breathing through your nose makes your eyes water. And yet somehow... breathing deep... you've never felt more alive. You can feel the bars of the cage all around, space bent, time broken trying to bind and to keep. 'Never' and 'forever' circle like carrion birds about the fate of the damned. Once upon a dream you had flown with them.

All Is Poison: All characters take +1 DC to all rolls
Hell is Forever...
Cracked Cell Circumvention -3 to All DCs to Escape
Hell is Lonely...
Transcendent Lord of Flies -3 to All DCs to Help Your Companions Escape

Gingerly setting the Tiffany and Lydia down you follow Nergui up past the lip of the crater to find yourself to find yourself between a long, low structure, what might once have been a villa of some kind, now long since stained by time and half-looted, hollow windows starting up at the noxious grey-green sky like gaping cavities and a pile, a mountain of poorly build shanty houses, each raised atop the other though not in any order, but slanted at an angle as though each one is attempting to devour each other, to be king of the refuse heap. Yet looking up further...

"Tensile strength and compresbility are more what you call guidelines than actual rules," Tiffany jokes tilting her head. Above the slumping hill of misery rises a skyscraper reselling a twisted stack of bolts literally being driven into a 'structure' that does not look like it should be able to support its own weight much less that behemoth. Alas simple incredulity does not last long The top of that building twists in an arch, reaching across to embrace another tower crowned with countless thin fingers of steel, lightning rods. Upon each one there is chained a figure, clearly human, just as clearly in agony as the bolts come down.

The darkness that had allowed you passage fades as globular lights, blisters of plastic and glass flare into sudden incandescence a few dozen feet down the madly zigzagging street lighting up to the crater, but by then the four of you are already gone simply flinging yourselves upwards until you reach the tenth floor and slipping through a window opened with a touch. Tools cables like serpents retract from your fingers... sated. The buildings security algorithms barely put up a fight and why would they, you are clearly stronger and strength is the law of the Wicked City as much as the will of its master.

Lost 1 Willpower -> Now at 8/9 (TTC)

"May he come to regret it..." you murmur under your breath to which Lydia adds, words seemingly not made for English: "Rue the day and remember the Hour."

The office you find yourselves in is empty, abandoned to the mold that's growing freely over walls that might once have been a shade of corporate beige, but is now more like coffee-puke brown. The door for some reason angles upward, an enormous metal slide that reminds one uncomfortably of a trash compactor, but there's still a computer on the desk. Perfect, I can just get some more up to date information before we move on Perdition's Edge.

Lydia screams, not in pain or fear, a small scream of pure disgust and horror.... she points at the tangle of wires behind the monitor. The 'tower' is not all plastic and steel, replacing one corner of it is a human spine, with a skull still clinging to pieces of flesh wired in. An old fashioned telephone cable allows one to lift it if it is so desired and you know instinctively that is what strands of a web camera here and also likely the previous occupant of the office.

"I'm fine, I'm fine," your friend says, embarrassed at her reaction, even as she can't take her eyes off the horror that had been made of the soul. It's hard to say if it's better or worse than the road. Maybe it's just beyond the point where such words have meaning.

Reading through the security briefs, management-eyes-only-of-course, you discover this part of the City is on Code OCHRE Readiness, which means that Wardens are authorized to summon Undertown resources into the upper levels as well as the 'usual' drone swarms and injector hounds. Included are instructions on how a trespasser should present one's self for termination to a Falcon Drone so as to avoid its more excruciating cousins.

Of more direct use is the picture of Hunger-Weighing-Harbinger of high enough fidelity that you can take up the Akuma's steel threaded suit and strangely locust eyes above an uncannily simple old-fashioned mustache, a reminder there used to be a person under there. HWH can be counted among the Greater Akuma, which is good because you do not think you could even pass for the lesser essence singing in your veins as it does. The trouble is you are not sure how long the others can hide out out here and...

"Careful you don't bite off more than you can chew," Tiffany guesses what you are about to propose. "Just because you feel like a million dollars doesn't mean there isn't a thousand stacks of a thousand in there and by that I mean demons and drones."

"There is a reason all of us came disguised after all," Lydia flutters her wings for emphases. "We are close enough thanks to the Ancient One that we can just fly to the fortress, look you can see it out this window..."

What do you do?

[] Try to infiltrate Perdition's Edge in the guise of an Akuma before starting the raid in earnest

[] You know where Joe Magarac is, where the plague should be triggered, fly in now and trust to the Shikome disguises to carry you
-[] Split up so that you can do both objectives at once
-[] Do the objectives sequentially, with the understanding that even with the worst possible reaction time from the Wardens you will have to deal with outside security

[] Write in

OOC: Congrats you are operating on a standing -6 to DC which means Molly has never been more at home anywhere... and it is hell.

Looks good, though I will say that taking this triple the drinkers appetite as well. You have to support all that denser tissue and this is just alchemy, it has to at least pretend to play nice with physics until it can blindside it and take its lunch money

A successful treatment grants +1 Soak and -1 difficulty as the lattice distributes impact across the entire skin. The real benefit comes from the properly form lattice acting in a similar manner to the Primium of the Technocratic Union Successes in crafting the poultice are distributed between strength of the innate counter-Magic and how long the treatment lasts this can not grant more than five dice of innate counter magic though further successes can be dedicated to improving the time necessary between applications The initial interval between applications is daily and is set by successfully crafting the poultice this can be increased by allocating successes to intervals second is a weekly Application, the third interval is monthly application, the fourth interval is quarterly application, The fifth interval is biannual application, the Sixth interval is yearly Application. Failure to reapply the treatment causes the adamantine lattice to shift and break causing a loss of a counter magic dice of one per day after five days the adamantine starts grow rigid causing a +2 Difficulty on all physical actions this can be avoided by spending willpower and taking one level of Lethal damage as the skin tears after taking Five instances of such damage the layer is gone. Alternatively waiting 7 days causes the integument to bubble and peel like a bad sunburn and can be treated the same way.

This will make the drinker incapable of magic unless they retrain at half of what they initially paid for it in XP, you did just shove anti-magic materials into their body.

"Rue the day and remember the Hour."
I will carry hell to your doorstep; you will rue the day
You will reap the hate you've sown no matter how hard you pray
It's a place without any mercy, fashioned in cold blood
Stones of fear and stones of doubt
No forgiveness, no way out
Only justice
Then, amen

It's both poetic and horrifying how Molly and Co are coming to turn the place of Mikaboshi's power into his worst nightmare.
