Green Flame Rising (Exalted vs Dresden Files)

On the topic of leveling. Are we going to make artifact armor? We have soul sword of course, but still. Molly's current armor was made at the beginning of the quest! I'm not asking for a Warstrider, just something other than chainmail for 1 damage soak.or essence batteries. By God we can win without, but still.

I'll leave the complications of letting a deity from that particular pantheon empower the servant of another great power, with a very hellish feeling.
No, I'd very much like to hear about this. I am not aware of anything special that would stop a virtuous raksha from blessing their descendant / strengthening their blood to do good deeds, while she serves a virtuous yama queen.
And focus on the other part Yog, do you even know that she wants to be the queen of Lanka? This is not a light thing to ask because it would not be her soul creating a world and cosplay like hell, it willl be a true hell, where souls must suffer to cleanse their sins as natural law speak, and where she would have 999 other rivals equal in power certainly thinking that she is the weakest and can be literally eaten easier, not to mention all the Elders of the Jade Court who want to be Yama Kings and will certainly go against the newbie. We should just absorb them all when we start the Infernals' Main Quest: Demon Emperor of the Sixth Age in earnest.

She can't split up like we can, so she'll have to stay insideLanka managing everything to avoid betrayal, whether from outside or inside. She won't be able to leave for the mortal world easily, because besides DP talking about how Mikaboshi literally carried his entire realm on his back when he did that, she'll become terribly weaker, the perfect target for anyone who wants to try to kill something of the angelic class, without trying to manipulate things for very specific circumstances, to steal her throne.

And this has nothing to do with her dream of acting and protecting the population of small practitioners.

I have to agree with @BronzeTongue that it seems like an idiotic attempt at mix-max, especially when there's nothing saying that all our companions have to have the bigatons or importance of Exalteds. She's already great as an assassin and will get even better with rituals.
I have a lot of strong objections to this. First, I'll fully acknowledge that no, I don't know if she wants to do this. Secondly, I am not proposing this as a viable or desirable or short or medium term plan of action. I am saying that, lorewise, this has at least some basis. Thirdly, I'd like to point out that in the situation where we took over Lanka, it would be a military occupation by the FIvefold Courts, with all that entails. On her splitting - fairly sure that would be something that can happen with the status upgrade yo yama queen. Finally, stuff like "let's cram her with magitech implants" would be minmaxing. I am actually trying to base the power side in the narrative.
Per a ruling @Yog got she's also not done growing, so she might gain the ability to share her gift less biologically depending on how things go.
Yes, I got that one for a later purchase of Unaging merit during character creation.

As to other upgrades:
1) Prayer Eating, not as a goddess, but as an idol, in the sense of being a star performer and inspiration to others should be a possiblity for her. And it is tying her civilian side to her magical side.
2) Magitech cybernetics, while somewhat bland, are also a possiblity
3) VEE is always an option. 6 rank merits are quite strong. And Olivia fits well for either Inner Knight, or Guardian Angel (and, in general, it occurs to me that when and if we make the Green Lantern ring, using VEE to grant Living Legend merit with the legend of Green Lantern might be viable - I am very committed to the cosplay).

Thirdly, I'd like to point out that in the situation where we took over Lanka, it would be a military occupation by the FIvefold Courts, with all that entails.
I doubt this part, because we were told that the Yama Kings are their own kingdoms and when they lose territory in the constant wars between themselves, it is actually the opposing King who mystically devours that piece and thus adds to his own kingdom.

I am sure that when we defeat one of the Thousand Hells, the Sanctuary will expand, absorbing that territory and placing all the previous souls through our version of Endless Suffering. In other words, for me it is not, for example, that Molly reigns in the Sanctuary and has a subordinate in Lanka, but rather that Lanka ceases to exist and the sanctuary grows to occupy the previous space.

After all, the objective of the Demon Emperor is to control all the thousand hells and impose his own laws/nature on the souls of all the dead.

And yes, I wonder what ideology the Fallen actually have. It's clear with the Neverborn servants, they want to blow up the chains that keep the cycle of suffering in operation and don't give a damn about the living. The Raksha also clearly want to blow up those who interfere with their pure improv game. But what the hell do the Fallen actually want? Are they souls of the second circle of the third soul of God, which is responsible for evil?

I love to understand philosophical conflicts. As an observer heh.

While it works like that with Yomi Hells, our Courts are our worldbody, and it doesn't work like that with Primordials, as far as I know. We might get to reformat those realms, but I don't think they'll directly merge with the Sanctuary.

A bit late to reply to these but On some level I can see both if we just straight up kill a lord of a yomi hell then attempt to consume said hell we would if we replace a lord of the hell I'm sure we could probably pull a Malfeas and contain that hell within the metaphysical borders of Sanctuary.

In my mind it's the difference between Malfeas building a new layer or new ring for his Wicked City and Desert Cecelyne or Mt. Qaf's presence within his body. If Olivia took over Lanka and then we essentially pulled the entire realm in under her with her assistance then we would have essentially a another city and land with a tropical climate with a lot of work to be done to fix it with a lesser demon queen in some cardinal direction outside the main pentagram of the five cities.

In comparison to just eating another hell which would might just make every feature in sanctuary particularly larger including the cities the intertwined Dragons of our Throne grow taller, the cities grow miles wider, the wastes mountains rivers and hills grow longer and more complex, the Labyrinth expands growing fat on the secrets of another hell. Things like that where the other hell just completely cease it to exist but ours grows.

Scounting for Talent

"Damn this is cool," Olivia laughs as she edits thousands of wall mounted laser emitters vanish from perception with a snap of her fingers... well really with several hours of work painstakingly painting runes of focus and control all over the wall in tree-stalker blood, but you of all people can't fault her for being dramatic. "I can't believe you actually have tree octopi for the record," she adds looking over her shoulder.

"I mean they aren't technically..." Briefly you consider going into details about how tree stalkers have five arms and not eight, but really the only other thing one could compare a banded tree stalker to is a facehugger, so maybe Internet memes are the better comparison. "That's not the 'forget you ever saw me' trick you can pull is it?" you ask instead.

She shakes her head. "I can just barely do that do that myself, edge of my abilities... You know if you're planning to break the Reds power maybe making more people like me's a good idea. Sure you can send some in from Sanctuary, but they aren't used to operating on Earth and they all need to have their history electronically inserted into the system. Don't get me wrong the Amethyst hand people are getting scary-good at that, but there is a limit on what you can do with computers. Earth isn't as wired in as over here. On the other hand if you empower people in the community and with a stake in it..."

"Er... Olivia, you do realize it's going to look like replacing one Court with another. When I awaken someone's Po it feels dark, almost but not quite like one of the Hungry Dead."

"So?" she shrugs. "We're not trying to look like, the cookie girls... 'girl scouts'? I've never been one, just saw them on TV."

You laugh, thinking back to less hectic time. "I have and trust me, if harnesing inner darkness would help them sell more cookies most of those girls would be on it in a flash."

"So what do you think?" your friend asks after a moment. "I could help..."

"No... you've got college and..."

"Fuck college," she cuts you off, the space around her crackling with black hairline fractures. "The Council is bad, its not representative it's opaque and it gives no appeal, but it's getting better, I've seen that. The Red Court, they're just monsters, they treat people like food, like toys, pretend they're gods. I've talked to Susan Rodrriguez since she came back to Chicago and it's bad over there. That's why I wanted to help set up the gate, it's a chance to help, but there are plenty of sorcerers in Sanctuary who can do this stuff. I am a very, very good shot."

There's something almost haunted to the looks she gives you, but no less determined for all that.

What do you do?

[] Agree with Olivia's idea that she should liaise with the Fellowship in efforts to fight the Red Court, the first of a new kind of agent, taking advantage of your ability to awaken the Po
(Olivia will still be availibile for actions during turn plans, but she will be in more danger at a baseline)

[] Argue against it, she can do more good helping set up organizations like the Order of the Cauldron, getting minor talents the information and connections they need to stay safe

(Olivia will work organizing minor talents, focusing on improving her social and networking skills)

[] Write in

OOC: No rolls for this one.

I would say it's most effective in the first instance to subvert and empower the Colombian military and intelligence agencies directly and grant them powers, rather than relying on Olivia.

State power is a big force multiplier for supernatural agents.

Well yeah, but she is offering to help organize and teach them how to use their powers, which she would be good at as a PC grade Fomori.

Nothing to see here, folks. Definitely not a new Court of nefarious supernatural beings with strange powers and an enigmatic leader pretending to be a high school student. Move along now.
