Green Flame Rising (Exalted vs Dresden Files)

Can we actually kill this without second hand silver and without breaking its curse first?
If what DP is saying is true, then yes, absolutely yes we can kill this thing without silver.

We could literally unga-bunga it to death with excessive bashing, which loops back into lethal, which loops back into Aggravated.

And since a loup-garou naturally takes no Bashing usually, I don't think it has anything to deflect wound penalties from filled HLs. Grind it down slowly, I guess.

No, but you can cause enough damage to incapacitate it as the power of your essence overwhelms its regeneration, at that point you can basically trim it like a macabre bonsai until the moon goes down, though you wold need to time it carefully so as not to leave the resulting human dead or crippled until the next full moon, they do not keep the super powers when they are humans as far as I recall.

To actually kill a loup garou in its wolf form you would need some kind of spirit killing charm, since they are explicitly part spiritual entity bound to the ever-healing flesh.

So always have some second hand silver on us just in case

Would trimming it down to all HLs filled with Aggravated let us use Murder is Meat to inhale it's spirit? or the Lankha one where you magically eat a person you clinch and "kill".

Since its extremely chopped up with spiritual nuclear fire and close to death.

Probably only spirit-killers but I have to ask.

As an aside, @DragonParadox do we get to keep the abilities she has as a wizard for free, or do we need to use points for that? Wizard's Sight is very useful, and covers for some of the sensory charm stuff people were talking about earlier.

[X] Emerald Angel Unfurling V 1.3
That requires Molly to first find out about Bob, and then get Harry to give her access to it.

Harder than it sounds.
Harry literally has a stack of binders full of names. Bob has more stuff, but not everything.

...we have a Charm for that.
Murder is Meat (•)
The Infernal's nature is that of the killing wind. Murder nourishes her, as it does the Hell from which she draws her power.
System: Whenever the Infernal murders a sentient being, the act nourishes her as though she had just eaten a four-course meal. If she slays a ghost or spirit, then she can reflexively roll Dexterity + Occult against a difficulty of its Willpower. Success conjures a vortex of crimson flaying winds which slice its dissipating substance into stray motes of Essence. The Infernal regains 2 Essence, and the ghost or spirit is entrapped in the Hell of Being Skinned Alive. Condemning a jaggling- level or greater spirit that is not a creature of darkness in this fashion "rolls back" the number of times the Infernal is considered to have attempted to don her Shintai form during the current story by one, reducing its cost or difficulty accordingly (to a minimum of Essence 2, Willpower 2, and no roll requirement).
It's immoral and evil as fuck (consigning them into an eternity to being flayed alive, hello?) but we can do it.

Edit: Also, HOLY FUCK it's cheap as fuck!

Chefs kiss*

beautiful work @Jack vile Ripper

@DragonParadox i wonder what Michaels reaction to us being him but evil flavored will be. Probably conflicted.

I also wonder what this says about Molly's mindset. That she ended up so close to her father in abilities.

Edit:
Approval voting.

Hey, when you think about it God and Theion aren't so different. Only that the Holy Tyrant employs methods that are more Old Testament rather than the proscribed Jeshua bar Maryam method of salvation.

That is, bow and postulate before your better. Or suffer.

1st Edition Exalted and WoD was planned to be connected if I recall correctly. With Sol being essentially a successful Lucifer, before the entire idea was scrapped and only some oddities remain.

So this is not surprising.

Yeah, though no fault of its own (usually) a loup garou counts as a creature of darkness so you could do all those things and anything else you can do to a dark spirit of roughly similar power which you defeated.

So, Jack. Up for grabbing Murder is Meat soon, then?

Extremely cheap pseudo-Spirit Killer...

Edit: Wait no. It counts as a CoD in wolf form? Isn't there a Charm for enslaving spirits or demons?

Demonic Primacy of Essence POG! We could have an immortal as our employed minions.
Thats what our own hell dimension is for!
Man, I can't wait to create our Hell.

Which name and themes do you think we should pick? My guess is that we would pick "The Hell of Ultimate Release" with the caveat being that said hell is basically a better version of the Abrahamic Heaven.

We could spit on Heaven's face!

You do not know what Heaven looks like so you cannot improve on it, you can improve on the common perception of Heaven, but that is not the same thing, also Molly does not have an issue with God, quite the opposite.

I am up for that idea.

Honestly, it could very easily turn into a weird actual Hell if we were of a mind.

Living a life with absolute ease, excess and ultimate access to everything and anything you desire and think of, no hardship, no danger anything...

It's pretty good, but without some mind or soul editing it may get...hellish in some thousands or millions of years. Grinding someone down by fulfilling their every wish until they can desire and wish for nothing and become empty husks.

Hell approved.

Edit:Thematic for people who loved life more than virtue. Let them gorge on all life until they can't take it.

Nah, it's okay. I'm just thinking of the irony that a Demon Emperor could build a better afterlife than the Big G Himself.

If we are making this Hell, I am in. It would be suffering of the most self-inflicting kind.

As I always say, Adorjan is best primordial.

Embrace giggle murder zoom zoom!

Also a charm I'd like ported over if possible.
SCARLET RAPTURE SHINTAI

Cost: 12m 1wp; Mins: Essence 4; Type: Reflexive

Keywords: Form

Duration: One Scene

Prerequisite Charms: Self-as-Cyclone Stance

In all of Malfeas, among all races of demons spawned of every Yozi, one prayer unites the best and worst of Hell in common terror: "May the peace of Adorjan not fall upon me". Their desperate pleas are prayers to her, empowering her to bestow her unique instructive kindness upon them.

This charm may only be activated at the moment the Infernal makes a melee attack. Upon activating this Charm, the Infernal's body achieves ascetic transcendence as it dissolves like eroded stone. In the blink of an eye, the Exalt appears as a gust of crimson-hued wind swirling with mirage distortions. When initially still, she coalesces into a humanoid shape hinting at her material form. As she moves, her ephemeral substance warps and stretches behind her as amorphous streamers of light and pain. This transcendent shape grants four benefits while it is active, the inauspicious count of Adorjan's daughters and the number of secret truths she must teach Creation before the end:

  • The wind's form is spun of Essence, and not subject to the limitations of solid form. She has no weight, and may freely move through any obstacle or barrier a wind could blow through without being diminished near to nothing. Her wind body may dodge freely without regard for having physical room to do so, may not physically grapple or be grappled and cannot be subject to any attempt to blockade her movement unless by magic that could stop the air itself. She may still act normally despite this ephemeral form, as in the exact instant that the Infernal chooses to act, her wind body takes on rough humanoid semblance to perform that action and exerts force as though solid.
  • What mortal blade could draw blood from air? What mortal flame could burn the wind? Only harmful effects enhanced or created by Essence have enough metaphysical potency to affect her, inflicting wounds in the form of violent disruptions to her component gusts. Mundane weapons pass harmlessly through the winds of the Infernal's form, mundane fire may not burn her, mundane poison or disease have no effect, and so on.
  • The wind's face is bereft of features, her voice is the shifting whisper of a thousand breezes. The Infernal's identity is impossible to determine. In addition, she makes absolutely no noise save when she chooses to, and is an invalid target for hearing-based Awareness rolls no matter the keenness of her enemy's senses. If she is killed while in the form of the Scarlet Rapture, she evaporates into nothingness, leaving no corpse.
  • Without flesh to hold one back, action is synonymous with desire and drawing blood becomes as effortless as drawing breath. While Scarlet Rapture Shintai is active, the Infernal reduces the penalty she takes to flurried actions to -1 and may deal lethal damage with her touch.

And
BROKEN SILENCE LAUGHTER DEFENSE

Cost: 1m (+4m, 1wp or +0m); Mins: Essence 1; Type: Reflexive

Keywords: None

Duration: Instant

Prerequisite Charms: Sacred Kamilla's Inhalation

Adorjan pities her siblings. They plot vengeance against the gods and their Chosen so seriously that they fail to see the absurd humor in hairless monkey creatures rising up and conquering the creators of the universe. What could be funnier than that? This Charm may be activated for one mote in response to any sort of mental influence, including Psyche effects, causing that influence to become obvious to the Infernal. He may then allow the effect to go forward without opposition or spend an additional four motes and one Willpower to perfectly ignore it by interrupting with inappropriate or unnerving laughter. The Charm can defend against unblockable mental influence. The additional mote surcharge is waived if the character has made no other vocal utterances previously in the scene.

Nah, it's okay. I'm just thinking of the irony that a Demon Emperor could build a better afterlife than the Big G Himself.

Osum: To become Demon Emperor one must first conquer hell.

And yes Molly would be down for trying to kill the Fallen, what better way to save those who would become the Denarians. Hopefully you are starting to see why she has that enemy rating. Not that she can do so now, not by far but well... Green Sun Prince.

You know what would be a good name, and the ultimate irony?

The Hell of Paradise.

Since a paradise means enclosure, and with the theological and mythological paradise being a land of plenty, this being an enclosure of every beautiful and desirous thing of earth, with one exception.

You cannot leave, ever.

Edit
Etymology of Paradise said:
Middle English: from Old French paradis, via ecclesiastical Latin from Greek paradeisos 'royal (enclosed) park', from Avestan pairidaēza 'enclosure, park'.

Hmm, that would be good. Only there is one issue...

The Yomi Wan, which is basically the type of Hell an Infernal is able to make, must have at least ONE escape route from said realm. It could be protected by legions of Demons, it could be hidden away with lung-bursting mists, and it could even be placed right in plain sight. But the one universal rule of the Thousand Hells is that there MUST be an escape route. It's how the Wan Kuei are born and made.

In fact, what would be most damning is that the portal out of said Hell is right there, right in plain sight, undefended and clear for all.

It's just everyone is so addicted to the Hell of Paradise that they would never want to get out.

Well, that sounds easy.

What's the escape from paradise? Just pick this fruit from this tree.

Where is the tree? In the center, far away from everyone. Where illusions and temptations of every earthly good thing tries to keep you away from.

So the only way out is both recreating the Original Sin AND denying all earthly pleasure. So you're stuck with the worst of all worlds.

There's a hellish escape.

Edit: If you want it to be extra bad to get out, also put a moat of salt water around the island in the center where the tree is, where every torturous illusion will stop you from approaching it.

To make it clear that they are voluntarily leaving paradise for earthly suffering. Why a sea? The bitter sea metaphor that is quite common iirc.
