Green Flame Rising (Exalted vs Dresden Files)

If people can wait a few hours for me to make the drive home, I've got an idea or two.

Most importantly though, I feel that loading up on the Flaws is not a good idea, because Flaws are a pain in the ass to get rid of later, but everything people want to buy from them are things we can get in game. It's better to have a coherent character with maybe one or two iconic Flaws to drive storytelling than to just grab 7-10 points of flaws so you can come out guns blazing from the gate.

This is a DP game, if you think XP won't be generous, you haven't been watching very closely.

We can't get true names from the CoE, but we can ask narrow questions and get highly identifying names for them. Harry has a spirit library, we could easily ask a question like "which creatures in this set of documents would accept a wish of X properties from Molly in exchange for a year and a day of loyal service?"
That requires Molly to first find out about Bob, and then get Harry to give her access to it.

Harder than it sounds.

Most of the optional flaws suck. I could be persuaded to take White Council 2 point enemy since Molly was a warlock and "upgraded" to demon. Otherwise I'd go for impatient. Anything else either doesn't fit the character or isn't worth the trouble.

Although I would spend it to Charm dots, if it were me.
I'd rather spend it on Dex Attri and just get it over with it. Both because training time avoidance, its good at all times, and because it lets us spend XP on Charms.

I imagine, as is usually correct to do, most people will mostly want the cool Charms instead of +1 dex, even if its very useful. To avoid painful dilemmas, use BP to sidestep it.

Another thing I have to ask. Can we take a Perfect Defense of some kind? Seems important and basic.

HOLY SHIT, I NEARLY FORGOT!

We could be plastered if we didn't take any sort of Perfects on hand.

EDIT: Here, a 4-dot Perfect Defense against any attack. Exactly 12 FP.
Counter-Conceptual Interposition (••••)
Pouring her Essence into a defensive shield shaped by her understanding and will, the Infernal defends herself by provoking glitches in the fabric of the universe. This might mean that part of a wall suddenly appears in the path of an attack for a moment, or that a hail of bullets forget where they should travel as they approach the Infernal and instead embed themselves in the wall behind her without ever passing through her. It might simply mean that reality itself becomes a garbled, pixelated mess for a moment, and when the distortion clears, the Infernal remains unharmed.
System: Reflexively spend 1 Essence in response to an attack. The attack fails to strike the Infernal without any further dice rolls. If the Infernal spends 2 Essence, then she perfectly defends against all attacks from a single source or opponent for the rest of the turn. If the Infernal doesn't really understand what she's defending against – if she's being attacked by a sort of supernatural being she doesn't recognize, or if it's using a power and she doesn't fully grasp how it works – then this Charm's cost rises by 1 Essence.

Another thing just to make sure is a Surprise Negator if we can.

Only one I noticed as of yet is Raw-Edged Paranoia Principle.

If we don't pick up Verdant emptiness endowment I would want to put a priority on it later. It will be a key charm for building a powerbase.

And the Charm Source Code Compliance Protocol could be great for Dresden files. If it prevents omissions and tricky wordplay in negotiations.

Perfect defense is stylish, but pattern infused ego primacy is much more likely to come up for us, given the prevalence of reality warping shennanigans.

Our build is gonna be full of holes almost no matter what.

We dont have any kind of spirit detection for example.

Prooobably the Malfeas+Swlihn Heresy Charm? That's what comes to mind first.

Did you agree with all Standard charm choices and only changed BP or we can't change those?

Edit: For example why not Impervious Primacy Mantle instead of Freedom Lets Go?

I really think spending so much on a perfect defense is a waste. Especially if it doesnt block true naming BS and curses.

@Jack vile Ripper Earthscorpions evangelion charms?

Why wouldn't it block those?
Think of it as D&D.

It gives us infinite armor class, but does nothing for our saving throws.

Curses, reality warping, people using our true name against us...

Edit:
And all of those "saving throw" effects are more common in the Dresden verse, and we dont really have any defense against them right now like we do against being attacked.

So, out of all the Demonic Aspects available, I have picked two that have the most potential of them all:
Demon Weapons
The Shintai is equipped with deadly armaments such as claws, fangs, or horns. Its Brawl attacks inflict Strength + 2 lethal damage. Alternately, the Shintai appears bearing a terrible demonic weapon capable of inflicting Strength + 2 lethal damage with Melee attacks.
Transcendent Anathema
Any attacks the Shintai possesses which would inflict lethal damage, inflict aggravated damage instead.
They're both good, but what is even better is that the Charm By Rage Recast allows us to pick another Demonic Aspect that we could don by using one Essence or by flaring our Anima. So we never should fear barring our path by choosing one aspect.

Since we're a Melee build, I think that we should pick Demonic Weapon for an instant armament that could be summoned at will. Plus, it would look cool as well.

Since we didn't pick the panoply-crown I'd support the demonic weapon now.

We are unarmed and we can't even deal lethal damage to turn into aggravated without a blade or gun.

Besides it will look cool...

Is demon weapons actually any good?

Especially as opposed to a Strength 8 difficulty five weapon.

SSandstri andstrikke Blast (••)
The Infernal summons forth a blast of flaying,
scouring winds packed with jagged metal and the red
sand of the Hell of Being Skinned Alive. This becomes
a weapon which she directs against her foes.
System: Reflexively spend 1 Essence to call forth
the red wind of Hell for a scene. This is a weapon
which may be directed with Dexterity + Athletics (diffi-
culty 5) to aim the attack. The flaying wind has a dam-
age rating of 8 (lethal) and a range of 60.
Alternately, the Infernal may use an action and
spend 1 Essence to create a massive blast of scouring
sands driven by supersonic winds, centered on a point
anywhere within her line of sight. Everyone within (Es-
sence rating x 5) yards of the blast's epicenter suffers 10
dice of lethal damage, including the Infernal herself if
she sets the attack off too close.
Signature Effect: When the Infernal dons her
Shintai form, it comes into the world accompanied by
a blinding, choking sandstorm. Anyone caught in the
storm without sufficient protection (such as motorcy

Eh, to be clear getting a sword is good (especially in this situation). I just dont want to commit to what appears to be a wildly mediocre weapon.
