Green Flame Rising (Exalted vs Dresden Files)

I'm fine with waiting for the festival, but we should consider sharing what we learned with Lara. I doubt she would be bothered or offended by the Whamp's actions, if he wasn't affiliated with the group trying to subvert her rule. He is, though, so the information is just another arrow in her quiver to use against the conspirators. The sooner she has the information, the sooner she can act on it.

-[X] We will, however, make Lara aware of what we have learned so that she can make further arrangements as prove necessary.

I am now glad we didn't call the cops these guys are also victims (they might still be assholes). I wish that we had a therapist among the Jade Dogs.

This isn't a trial there isn't due process here. Lara already knows who she wants dead and how to kill them. Telling her about this doesn't help her at all.

The man, you learn his name if Jasper Cage, is as resolved in his awful beliefs as any you might meet and those are not wholly the result of white court manipulations, Three years ago he had lost his wife and daughter to what sounds like a vampire attack, Red Court or Black and he had seen enough to break the comforting lie most of mankind now lives in. Ridiculed by his friends, pitied then shunned by his family he has sunk deeper and deeper into a morass of half-truth and pure fabrication until he had met 'Reverend Miles' at a big tent revival out west. From what you can coax out of him the man is clearly a vampire of the white court and a strong one at that, able to induce feelings of ecstasy and revelation.
Just a reminder - this is the person that, should the Black Vault be broken, is set to receive power cosmic meant to slay Gods and remake Creation.

It gives her at least one more Whampire name to add to her list of people who need to die. Sharing that information with her costs us nothing, saves us time in the long run, and further cements us as a useful associate in Lara's eyes.

Is this a new name? I don't think so because if it was then our crown of eyes would have missed someone. I expect that it's just an alias which isn't important.

Poor broken souls, it is a tragedy that their beat hope for recovery comes from a teenager empowered by ancient Infernal might.

It helps that Heaven is trying but so many people are broken by things they could never have known to guard against.

We don't have to give Lara the Whampire's actual name, just his alias, where he was and when, and she can have her own people work backwards from there to begin tracking him down. If nothing comes of it, that's fine too.

I also don't want to talk about how easily we dealt with a sniper. I want people to keep trying to kill us with snipers for a bit longer.

[X] Talk to mom. Maybe she has something to say to these men

Charity. We should ask if Charity wants to get involved. Because she was also in a cult, got out, found faith, and they are, in essence, her dark mirrors. And damn me for not thinking about it earlier.

I mean she was in a cult yeah, but that does not make her an expert in dealing with thralls. Also it might bring back unpleasant memories.

Hopefully by the end of this whole fiasco he starts building up something real, hopefully eventually having some sort of life despite the fact that his eyes have been opened thrice over in this lifetime. He'll be a mess for ages.

We have to expect that this sort of thing is standard. Any human put in our way is likely to be a morale attack against us as much as anything else, an attempt to ding our moral highground by forcing us to kill the deluded. Morale matters.

Got through to might be overstating it, he's a nervous wreck and you have some of the ghouls watching him so he does not do something rash.
And once again, finding a professional therapist in the know, buffing them, and establishing them as accorded neural practice seems like something we should look into. Having mental care professionals on call would solve so many long-term issues.

I'm sort of confused, cause it seems like the various plans ended up colliding oddly.

Almost all of them had Micheal, only some had Forthill, and none had Thomas in the room. Why would we want to have either facing down a whamp who fed on him while making this sort of outreach attempt?

Then we just let one collapse and moved on to picking at the other.

It works I guess, but it feels out of left field.
