breaking promises can have consequences even on the magical level for supernatural's in general really. Given there's some vagueness to it and levels of damage depending on what kind of promise is being made. Usually its more political though.I don't know if it makes things better or worse if we mention that if Lara doesn't then this is a violation of our cease fire and we start firing back on our own.
We should ask Murphy if she knows whether or not the LOC is an Accords signatory because that changes the political implications of things. For a moment the dark haired vampire looks even more nonplussed, though not as much as Thomas who looked to be on the verge of a very angry reaction. Then she says what are perhaps the most surprising three words she could have: "Formal non-aggression pact?"Taking our silence as an invitation to continue she expands on them. "Between you and the White Court, or your little sewer pack if you prefer, not to attack the interests of the White King specifically nor he yours. You get recognition I have a formal reason to command the elders not to meddle with you as long as you do not coerce any of the Court to your side, which you seem unlikely to do."
As a whole their basically a fairly powerful army. Not a nation I mean even the summer and winter courts would be considered small nations from a human standpoint in modern times at least. Given that doesn't make the white court weak or anything supernatural ability, the amount of resources they have, skills, and the logistics of courts is still pretty terrifying.I hope that we can come up with some stunts because this seems like a hard sell. The white court is certainly not at the level of being a nation state in it's own right.
This is more on the level of if a agent of the republican party went out and started killing black people as a proof of concept. If that were the case I don't think that we would be content to have the republican party clean house internally no matter how much political influence it has.
[X][stunt]"If you try use proper channels you are going to get a cease and desist order from [person who is being blackmail] or someone else in the police that they have influence on within the day."
The closest analogy is a mafia war. With superpowers.I hope that we can come up with some stunts because this seems like a hard sell. The white court is certainly not at the level of being a nation state in it's own right.

Yeah though their a pretty large mafia by real world standards, also more resources and connections, and well being able to jump in and out of the nevernever if only at specific locations is a nightmare.
That is actually an interesting point - if White Court is going to be embroiled in a civil war, it gives other powers an opportunity to move in onto their properties and businesses. This does make me wonder about what Marcon's relationship with the white court looks like. They both have very similar areas of interest enough so that they would basically have to cooperate or be at war.
Only if it lasts long enough for other powers to even know what is happening. If Lara will cough up the locations and gives even slight support Molly could eliminate the targets in a afternoon. That is actually an interesting point - if White Court is going to be embroiled in a civil war, it gives other powers an opportunity to move in onto their properties and businesses.
If anything it's likely better if it's known we have access to cyber devils because it explains our knowledge. Also we haven't actually been that secret about their existence what we downplay is how easily we can summon them.Does Murphy know about our Cyberdevils yet? Or is that a secret we aren't particularly concerned with?
I would disagree with this assumption. It's better to leave our source of information in doubt, especially in regards to Murphy. If anything it's likely better if it's known we have access to cyber devils because it explains our knowledge. Also we haven't actually been that secret about their existence what we downplay is how easily we can summon them.
Mortal mage's can summon cyber devils. It's just a big involved process and they can't bond for perfect loyalty. Also they only get temporary binding so the cyber devils always know that they are going back to the wicked city eventually which does put a damper on the relationship.
This might end up looking more like a purge in Stalinist Russia, honestly. Lara is on shaky ground since her ascension and this ill-timed farce is only going to leave her further undermined, the sort of thing that is going to require a very clear message be sent in response: You play the game by her rules or else she beats you to death with the poker table. Not picking a side might just mean everyone is going to say you are picking the other side. There's about to be a civil war / purge happening among the White Court in the city. The closest equivalent is a mafia war.
As long as it ends with Lara owing us I'd be okay with that.And... yeah. We're about to become a very, very visible persona for their Court. From the perspective of some White Court who isn't perfectly in the know this is going to look like the woman getting serious and calling in John Wick on her own initiative, assuming that this was part of the deal from the night when we signed the treaty.
Gonna be honest it really shouldn't this excites me though. This might end up looking more like a purge in Stalinist Russia, honestly. Coincidences are never going to be assumed. Everything was planned, even and especially when it wasn't.
