I hate him so fucking much for Rat.

So fucking much. :p

Actually, since it may become relevant; if I turned the later Keris logs - that is, the ones from the arc we've just started onwards - into a cleaned-up version and put them in a GDoc with an intro segment that explains what happened up to that point (since the early logs are a horrible mess that neither of us would be willing to release), would anyone be interested in seeing it? It displays how a lot of the hacks we use run in actual gameplay, and also how stuff like Pantheon souls and the Coadjutor-Infernal relationship and our view of the Reclamation work.

And, of course, there are probably going to be more hilarious Kerisian shenanigans, if past experience counts for anything.

I'm surprised you guys haven't done it already. I've been waiting for you guys to do it for what feels like years (so probably more like a year or months).

That or it somehow being converted to straight up original fiction. I keep on hearing these snippets and it sounds amazing.

So, yes. Yes, I would.

(On a side note, I am going to base a Solar Exalted villain off Fate Gilgamesh someday)
Screw villian,i wanna do him as a pc. The GoB could be a set of evocations connected to a cache egg or something. The treasures of course come from wyld hunt donors

I remember a comment about using By Rage Reforged and Devil-Tyrant Shintai as something other than a combat charm.

So, what kind of mutations would work for non-combat builds using those charms?

I'm just kind of curious.

I've considered doing a PC that's him reinterpreted as Jerk With A Heart Of Gold as well, yes. I'd probably do it personality-wise and appearance and not try to replicate his combat style exactly.

EDIT: Actually, mostly personality-wise, since I'd probably make him from the South.

So, basically, I'm taking Fate/Zero's personality with twists, but giving him closer to the actual mythological appearance and probably fighting style. Not not that much like Fate Gilgamesh at all, really.

2.5 has a functional GoB solar charm: Thousand Arms Prana.

To best use it, you'd want Perfected Battle Array and Elegant Dance of Blade and Bow as well. This lets you A: Attune all the weapons, B: Swap weapons reflexively and C: Store all the weapons in elsewhere and draw them out of thin air. Combine with a few thrown charms of whatever flavor you prefer and it ends up working pretty well with a few stunts. Not necessarily a terribly efficient way to fight, but GoB is pretty tactically awful way to use Noble Phantasms anyway.

Please.

Second. The first time was the, ah, slightly embarrassing one where I made an Int+Lore roll to determine what all the loot was, and enhanced it with Past Life 2. While standing over my Past Life's corpse for a 3-dice stunt. And Excellency-boosted my pool as high as it would go. And then rolled one more success than my MDV.

Long story short; I woke up outside the tomb, wearing something like 19 dots of Artifact, halfway through a conversation with Arianna in Old Realm. Which I could not speak. Oh, and Yamal had just finished telling her that there was something terribly wrong with his Exaltation.

Bluffing ensued. So, so much bluffing.

On a related note; fuck you ES there was no need to laugh so hard.

... How did you get out of that?

Incidentally, Arianna and Jade later broke into the same tomb, and got... oh, about three-quarters of the way through. One of them certainly got as far as the room of white-jade statue-soldiers standing in a pond of mercury.

As it turns out, there were lots of traps Keris hadn't set off because she just ran through with Adorjan Charms leaving her weightless and silent and so she didn't even know they were there.

(also the hungry ghost who was kinda a little bit utterly furious because of Keris desecrating their corpse and stealing their armour and spear)

Bluffing. So, so much bluffing. Also accidentally getting Bastion District set on fire.

Huh. I think those were the only thing I didn't steal, because I couldn't fit them in my Devil-Domain.

I should go back for them, someday. Uh. A long time from now. After Nexus's government has finished re-establishing itself, and the Emissary has calmed down a bit.

... a long, long time from now.

So

much

And it was an accident! One of the mercenaries chasing after her botched, and dropped their torch and the fire spread.

Nexus, as a libertarian paradise, has... issues with fire safety. Admittedly, so does most of Creation (barring the Realm).
And the South, can't forget the South.

I mean, after the third time they had to rebuild Gem, they got really good at not making it out of flammable things.

...Not that that matters to Slayers, but hey, you can't win them all!

Actually, if anything, the South will have better fire safety than most of Threshold. After all, it's more common there. They have to deal with it more often. And they don't have the endless supplies of flammable wood that the East does.

Up in the North, on the other hand, they have rain and snow and sleet basically all year around, so of course they waterproof their roofs and buildings with tar and pitch. Leaks and damp are far more common than fires. Which means that when fires do start; the whole city goes up like a (rather soggy) torch.

So... which city do you plan to visit up there to test it out?

That's actually what I was getting at, but I got distracted by the image of the Grand Perpetual Gem Rebuilding Committee.

And the fact that Slayers don't care about your fireproofing.

Finished digesting the Third Edition Leak, I'm pretty happy with it... Though a lot of that is just because my guesses on a lot of it were pretty accurate, and as such, I don't need to retool too much of my own game.

Also, TEN THOUSAND YEARS DAIKLAIVE, how does that even work?

...while I'm kicking around old, slightly nutsy ideas of mine, I'm returning to an idea of a Lunar-raised Solar Exalted. Bit of a Jungle Girl feel to her, most likely Night Caste. I'm not entirely sure what combat ability she should have, although I'm slightly inclined towards bow.

I'm not entirely sure what combat ability she should have

Pick based on what you feel would cause her to enter combat. So I'd break them down this way.
Thrown if you want to be murdering guards sneaky like.
Bow for slaughtering squads of mortals comfortably.
Melee for taking on heavily armoured exalts either through raw damage or death by 1000 cuts with high rate.
Martial arts for style as it feels more charm reliant but the styles tend to have animal themes.

If still in doubt Grand Daiklaive because you can't go wrong with a Grand Daiklaive.

That would work fine, except I approach things from an RP perspective first, which is why I'm leaning towards bow. The whole 'jungle/woodlands hunter' thing.

Also, I don't think a Grand Daiklave suits a Night Caste.

Character ideas I have that I'll likely never find a game for.

TAW New Moon who takes advantage of her castes stereotypes to screw with the rest of the circle (think pretending to be fanon Luna Lovegood, would only work in a mixed circle).
XXX Agent of Maelfas. Poor put upon bastard with Infamy 4-5 and expected to do the same work in Hell that the Sidereals do in Heaven (Except there is only one of him). Would likely work best with a entire party with that sort of theme, almost Infernal Dilbert, save for a PHB who considers blinding you for half the day when he appears to be an excellent motivational tool.
??? Catman Wizard: Crucible of Tarim, 4-6 sorcery binding cords and as many sorcery and necromancy spells that I can learn! (Likely a lunar so I can have a Lion Totem with braided hair.)
Conan Mc Siderealiton: Sidereal specializing in false flag attacks and getting more shit blamed on the Lunars. Responsible for keeping his trio of tyrant lizard pets both out of trouble and off the books.

Whip/Direlash, used to tame your pack of Emperor Sloth's.

If it's the book setting anyone with a Grand Daiklaive should have the weapon storing charm because there is just no other sensible way to carry one so it fits just fine with most casts. Also Plan B is almost always violence so if in doubt maximum violence.

Pick your weapon from the RP perspective. I'm just saying pick them based on what they are good for more than how it sounds in the character description. Thrown is good for silent kills it has charms for that so is also good for hunting. If you needed to defend yourself from hostile Lunars regularly then melee might be the better choice. Bows are good as long as the targets aren't too heavily armoured. Skills are cheap so I was thinking more in terms of any artifact and charm selection. An exalt can probably hunt just fine using only skill and a mundane weapon.

....

Actually now that I think about it, I really want that to be my first character concept in 3e.

Supernal Survival Solar Sorcerer and her trio of giant sloths. Booping Optional!

... My group only got so far as the 3rd game in Exalted 2.5 with TAW. I don't want to change my game to the 3rd Edition!
