Gems in the Wastes (Exalted/Warhammer Fantasy/CK2)

If you have an unobstructed view then you can see the Imperial Mountain from any point in Creation, this is actually a method of determining if you are still in Creation and haven't entered the Wyld proper yet.

Where is that stated? The only reference that I immediately remember only says you can see the Imperial Mountain from anywhere on the Blessed Isle, which is a lot smaller.

Put it to the port.

The Prisoners make no moves whatsoever to break out, maybe the slaves have been conditioned this way?
"I mean, did you expect us to escape back the Dark elves? Maybe try to hide in a hamlet where everyone knows everyone? Why would we want to leave? You can't even hear screams from here, it's great."

EDIT 2: SORRY, DISREGARD, I FORGOT WHAT MY POLICY STATED. APOLOGIES FOR THE PING.
It's for the best.

I can't even remember anymore.
Exalted is twenty three years old now and White Wolf did a lot to scrub setting information from the net at one point, plus the hard drive I kept all my old pdfs on got bricked.
That's not even counting the various retcons that got shoved in during 3E.
But still, the Blessed Isle is the size of Europe( or Eurasia???), so that still validates the "no Horizon" thing.
The only time I can think of a horizon actually being mentioned is when the Sun rising and setting is being described.( rising with a green flash from behind the far East and visibly sinking behind the far West)

Turn 3 New Exalt Summaries
So! Did some rolls for stats offline, and here is a basic outline for your new Sovereigns. I also rolled for their nation of origin with a d10: 1-8 is Uluiru, 9 is the Realm, and 10 is from somewhere else in either the Northern or Western Directions.

The Diamond Aspect is a former royal guard who retired while Queen Ulu was still on the throne and Nuwa still alive. The years have had surprisingly little effect on his ability to fight, and even in his 70s he is still a better fighter than many young men a third his age. Amongst all of the mortal warriors under your mother's employ, his ability to Combat the forces of the fae was among the very best. It was only his hyperfocus on fighting which denied him a marriage offer with one of your family members, and through that admittance to the Fount of Glories. This turn, that will be rectified. Beyond that, while he's not very good with words, and would be terrible as a Diplomat with how little he speaks, his Unbiased nature helps him to see other perspectives more easily.
  • Male
  • Diamond Aspect
  • Essence 1
  • Best Stat: Combat
  • 2nd Best Stat: Stewardship
  • Worst Stat: Diplomacy
  • Personality: Unbiased (+1 Diplomacy)
  • Rolled Stats: 18, 13, 13, 13, 9, 9, 8 (Yes, this really did happen)
  • Final Stats: Martial 13 (+3/8), Diplomacy 8 + 1 = 9 (-1/+4), Stewardship 13 (+3/8), Intrigue 9 (-1/+4), Piety 9 (-1/+4), Learning 13 (+3/8), Combat 18 (+8/13)
  • Nation of Origin: Uluiru (d10: 2)

The Sapphire Aspect is actually not a native to your country. You aren't sure where exactly she's from, though her name betrays that she's neither from Uluiru nor the Realm. She wasn't a soldier you recognized either (and neither did Gwai), so you were curious as to why Ekundayo proposed her as a candidate to you. When pressed, your sister admitted that the old woman miiiiiight have been a former member of the Vigilators Royal, specifically a more... "Deadly" element of the Ministry. So, Royal Assassin then. While all assurances tell you that she is loyal to Uluiru, its gods and Yourself above all else, you can't find out much else about her with how Secretive she is. What you ARE sure of is that she is quite good at Combat in her own right. However, perhaps due to her origins, her Scholarly knowledge even with decades of experience is almost nonexistent. At least she can read, you held little desire to educate your newest Sovereign on her letters.

I'll have names and more detailed biographies later, once I get to that portion of Turn 3's results. As part of their Old Age, both characters use X - 10 for their stats for both the mini-turn as well as Turn 4, and will improve to X - 5 for Turn 5 onwards.

Yeah, more Combat is good, but solid Learning and Intrigue Heroes are even better...we need more of those. The Diplomacy and Stewardship are also solid. The Martial isn't bad, but less needed.

Alright, that pushes it up to a Notable Success. The Docks in this case is particularly large, with a large open space perfectly suited for a shipyard. This lowers the DC of that action by... some amount, it's going to be low, and when the Shipyard is built all future boat building actions will have a -10 DC reduction.

Well slight damage aside the Fount gave us precisely what we wanted, more combat power to throw at the Druchi. I mean sure they are not Solars they can't fight alone, but that is OK we have soldiers for them to lead... and some of those soldiers are even not Blood Apes. :V

Speaking of which, I should probably revise my statement regarding their summoning: You not only made it so that they wouldn't harm your people, but you retained their services for a year and a day instead of just the upcoming battle, so that way you can still use them for future turns.

Starting to write up the Turn 3 results, and I think that I have an idea for what our poor bonus roll (18; Diplomacy) might be.

In short, after the threat of the encroaching army is dealt with, some of our people against our orders have left the homestead to seek out the Dark Elves to sue for peace. They don't even speak the language, and the Dark Elves found their attempts funny, capturing them as slaves. Now, you either need to allow them to perish, be used to lead another force towards the homestead, or gather up what forces you can to chase after them in Turn 4 to free them.

Yeah, that tracks. I'm not happy about it, but it tracks, and we should be able to manage it one way or another.

while under his command, ensuring that there are no accidental maiming of his side's troops.
This is the result of an exceptional success on demon Summoning. I would encourage people to be more cautious with it in the future.

...but for now great news

Frankly baffling decision. Even if somewhat understandable.

Can turn into a political win for us though. Assuming things go well.

Too bad about the hydra, but I didn't really want to get it regardless : /

The font being damaged is another blessing in disguise. It gives us a perfect excuse to start studying it.

The plan, at least on my end, was to have them outside the walls fighting while our own people were up on the walls providing ranged support, making the demons attacking our people unlikely. But yes in general, we need to be careful trying to mix demons units with human ones.

I mean, Blood Apes are notoriously hungry for flesh (particularly humans and cats, and you don't have nearly enough cats). So yeah, them not eating your people IS an exceptional success.

I do kind of wonder why we didn't go for Tomescu the clamorous arsenals. Or anything else less bloodthirsty.

Edit:
Thank you autocorrect. That was fabulous.

Honestly, Blood Apes just got suggested and I went with it, with, as I said, the plan being they would never actually be within arm's reach of our actual subjects. Next time maybe we'll grab something else.
It seems even having them physically separated from our subjects isn't enough.

I don't think it is the gms intention to reward clever write ins when Summoning demons but we will see.

And Glamourous arsenal was a typo. Even if a pretty cool one.
