Game of the Year: A Naruto Quest

Most likely she wasn't our father's legal wife, but rather a mistress. We're a bastard, as suggested by the tutorial text. That may make us a threat to the line of succession in some way, which means staying in Iron might have meant lethal trouble for us. Leaf agreed to take us in because they might want to use us as a political pawn in the future, or because our mother had some intelligence to trade, or something along those lines, and she's ultimately fine with the deal because she loves her baby and will sacrifice all the luxuries in the world to protect him. If Iron finds out we're here, expect problems. Like assassins.
Its not impossible that mom was granted asylum here due to Sarutobi being a softie. While he's not quite up to Hashirama "Let's give everyone nukes" Senju he can make some poor political decisions based off of altruism or friendship. Still the ruthless military dictator that his position requires him to be on occasion but inviting in a politically inconvenient and endangered baby isn't out of character.

True, though it would be Minato at this point who'd have made the decision. Still likely in character for him, though.

[X] No. You'll skip the tutorial and go right to the good part.

Hyper-competent babies/toddlers annoy me, so I wanna skip that.

Anything but baby time.

I'm actually hoping that baby time will be skipped through quickly in favor of actual childhood, even with the tutorial option. Skipping the tutorial would likely go straight to the academy, I'd guess.

Also, if you want to befriend Naruto or what have you, we might need to do it during childhood.

Baby time go away!

[X] Yes. You'll play the Tutorial and try to get your feet under you.

Obviously. Always play the Tutorial for an unfamiliar game.

@Vesvius would taking or not taking the tutorial impact the progression of the MC losing their memories as new ones fill in?

I don't want to assume with something that might cause mass hysteria

I'm not sure I understand the question.

Sorry about that, I'll try again.

Or…

Ok, this is troubling.

You know what's going on. You can still remember everything, from getting hit by the bus to standing in the void. But before that? Your parents? Your family? It's all fuzzy; like you were there for all those moments, but they happened to someone else.

The realization bothers you. Your parents weren't perfect, but fuck, they were your parents, and you loved them. And there was all your schooling, your friends, all the stupid video games you wasted a life playing? All more distant than before. Already you struggle to remember the fine details that once came readily. At this rate, it won't be long before all specifics are lost to you.

...is that a feeling the Game is putting in you? Or is this just something new from being stuck in a baby? Is-

You're broken from your burgeoning existential crisis by Mom placing a gentle kiss on your forehead.

With whatever possible storyline that follows from this, no matter how small or large, does it meaningfully get impacted based on this vote?

Speedrun this sucker. We gotta go as fast as possible

Seen too many gamer stories die when they begin from infanthood. Time skip please!
