Dragon Kings in the 41st Millennia (Exalted/40K Empire)

Keeping the Globe secret I think, since we need those to do supply runs.

[X] Plan How About With Some Trumpets D'eldar?
-[X] Allow them on the Luminous Herald of Dawn
--[X] Extend the Blessings of the Unconquered Sun unto the Order of the Quicksilver Rose to allow their safish travel aboard the Luminous Herald of Dawn. [ -1 standard stockpile]
-[X] Luminous Herald
--[X] Task - Defend Savavan
-[X] Abundant Feast
--[X] Task - Seek out the Eldar Corsairs
-[X] Stalking Mantis
--[X] Task - Infiltrate human world for intel.
-[X] Serenity Valley
--[X] Task - Remain parked at shipyard.
-[X] Thread of Fate
--[X] Task - Take the Globe and go for a supply run.

If I'm reading it right the Savavan defense will be next turn right?
No, it goes earth, wood, fire, air. Attack is expect on the next air.

Okay I now think we may want to reconsider working with half-turns for the gothic war, because we are looking at 25 mini-turns per 5 year turn. This means we are looking at ~100-150 mini-turns to work through the Gothic war we may need to figure out a better way to go through this. @StarJaunter are you willing to modify things so we can deal with this in a better manner?

Otherwise here is my vote.

I think extending the immunity is the best call. Killing the raksha and daemons in our path probably won't meaningfully affect their numbers but it should help establish a narrative of us kicking Chaos ass, both to the Warp itself and to the Sororitas. Ironically, even though the Globe is actually much more impressive, it's too similar to Gellar Fields for them to recognize how ridiculous it is. We should probably do anti-raiding on the worlds with important but vulnerable logistics.

"How do they even travel the Warp without Gellar Fields?"
"Oh, they just slay everything that attacks with the Holy Bolter, Sword and Fang while repelling the Immaterium with prayer."

Faith is our Shield

Purity Seals, Sacred Pillars engraved with the feats of the Most High which strength Reality in the face of unreality for He disdains the works of the Uncreated chaos, manifested blessings from the Most High (not always available), prayers in his temple (which is the ship), and shrine filled sanctums which are safer when one needs to rest within His most glorious arms.

You also have stasis pods which can protect those whose will and faith are insufficient before the Unending Horde of Unreality.

You also use a lot of Cold Iron which, anywhere near a Dragon King Templeship is going to work a lot better on Daemons than any previous experience shows it should.

So Faith and Steel.

The ever ongoing conflict with the Dk and Mortals. DK have scienced Faith and optimized it to a degree a Mortal cannot imagine. Humans just have more Faith available, so much more that if they even half knew what they were doing they can outdo the Dragon Kings. And by Dragon King standards Sisters of Battle are about one third know what they are doing and are especially faithful even by human standards.

I am willing but I have noticed a tendency to get in trouble with players for not giving them more choices and freedom. So I tried to go all out this time.

The problem is even in conversations on the thread your plans are all over the place and there are definately things I could imagine you doing that I haven't heard mentioned. If you were here to accomplish one thing and bug out we could skip the expedition

You can certainly post a plan that is... we skip this season and next season and so on and so on. And if it wins I will do that.

In fact I will put a slot under [ ] Write in that says skip to Savaven/Blackstone fortress Attack as an option that can be selected.

This is really cool.

Is "infiltrate a human world" even close to a good idea? Were supposed to be working with them? Why take the risk of spying now?

- intelligence: You lack the scouting forces or Chaos facing espionage to determine the location of either Chaos forces or where Mankind's forces need help. In order to help them you need to know where to help which means intelligence. The reason you showed up on Bligh is that Khalash rolled a strategem roll like an Exalt having a good day thus bullshitted into the place where you were most needed (that was supposed to wipe out the defenders and barely hurt the raiders if you hadn't shown up). You need scouts and spies to figure this stuff out and right now you only have the spies part of scouts and spies. So if you do not want to send them after the Imperium you need to find something of Chaos you can infiltrate and go after them.

-Corruption: Mortals are especially sensitive to the corruptive and addictive properties of the Wyld. Did you know mortals can form Cults around normal non-magical Mortals? no spirits present or aiding them. Even half-attention from an actual magical being tends to drive mortals to their knees in awe and faith. And the Raksha have abused this vulnerability since before Mortals had history. While the Imperium is admirably aware of these issues and has methodologies... most of these methods tend to wait until everyone in the cult is obviously beyond salvation and than killing them all. The subtler methods of essence arts and faith wielding might allow Dragon Kings the role of saviours to these poor masses. But such requires infiltration just to access them.

-Counter Infiltration: Raksha can break or ensare mortal wills casually. Some do it by accident of their mere presence. And again the response from the Inquisition is unable to deal with them beyond massive overkill or deployment of an extremely limited availibility of elite heroes... they simply do not have the manpower in trusted and capable agents to handle things before they go too far. If we deploy on human worlds we can have our people do their work and keep human worlds from being subverted by the Enemy.

Alright well enough then. Thank you for awnsers.

Omen chimes? Distribution is easy. But they work by being inspected regularly, not something you can casually set up
So we couldn't go like "yo, inquisition, here's a shitload of daemon detectors, and how to use them, implement as you will" because they wouldn't have time to set up a baseline, even aside from the whole "oh boy, let's put these psireactive items made by xenos all over imperial worlds, I'm sure that won't have any negative consequences" issue. Might still be something to think about after the war is over. Either as trade goods or having a mosok infiltrator "invent" them as a human.

By the time there is a daemon to be detected in the IoM things have usually gone well south of Hell in other ways, also most daemons are bad at hiding what they are and the few who are not are not generally going to be found by bargain bin detectors in the hands of rank amateurs.

Eh, not necessarily. Sometimes they're subtle and it's my understanding that Omen Chimes can detect them trying to cross the veil as well. Sufficient magnitude of prayer focused on exorcising hotspots should have some effect. Although you're right that without distributing combat methods, it's not particularly useful. I wonder if we could teach the Sororitas the Essence Enlightening Sutra. We could start a couple off with Essential River Channeling (basically riskless considering it'd only be a difficulty 1-0 check depending on the DK thuamaturge) and teach them Golden Janissary Style. Where Is Doom Inquisition alone is worth it, let alone the Form and Post Form tricks. The armor limitation hurts a bit but they've got access to personal force fields which allow for martial arts and, depending on whether the issue is one of flexibility, essence flow or basic concept, the Sororitas armor is impossibly flexible so that might be something. Plus, masters would be able to extend Light-on-Dark Shield to their armored Sisters which would be useful.
@StarJaunter, what Reputation would we need for "hey, wanna learn how to detect and immolate demons with your bare hands?" to not be rejected as a trick to corrupt them with heretical rituals?

Since we have Little Beam with us maybe he could come up with a martial art derived from Golden Janissary Style for use with power armour.

Dragon Kings have higher standards of Raksha subtlety. Or to be more accurate, they would assume that there are three Raksha being subtle for every one that is obvious.

Also a lot of the effects of a Chaos invasion could be run by one Noble Raksha. The rest is their weapons, stunts, charms, minions... (which are all practically the same thing to them) or they might even bring things that vaguely matter to them like Fey beasts, commoner raksha, or Glamour sorceries.

Thats why named characters can succeed in driving them off in stories. Without heroes, an entire world could be lost to chaos and in terms of beings that matter there is only one Raksha/Daemon who is only half paying attention and is pretty much just the butt monkey for someone more important yet.

The game centered on playing Solar Exalted really under-represents how terrifying facing a Noble Raksha is for Mortal forces, especially when the Creation/reality equivalent almost completely lacks Jade Obelisks, Elemental Poles, Order Conferring Trade Patterns, or the Realm Defense Grid.

40ish to mention it without auto being considered a trick. Will not accept though unless they receive a sign from the Emperor or you reach 80ish.
Well, hopefully saving human planets and murderizing daemons will be a better rep grind than trading I know you knows with the eldar has been. Or we can find an Imperial Demesne and set up a temple to allow Big E to give the go ahead and hopefully not smite us.
