Okay, this will probably get long...
I'm not sure it would work like that, considering we have to first transfer the Grief into the sword before the sword can remove it. Transferring Grief when it's going from one vessel to another is one thing, but you're asking us to transfer wild Grief that's currently occupying a distinct form. We also need Lancer because her Inguz is stronger than ours and she can do it faster than we can, and it still takes her awhile to move all the Grief from our spent Soul Gems into the sword. This while in peacetime; to say nothing of how much harder it would be to orchestrate when we're all trying to avoid dying every other second.
The logic I was going with, is that the
Sword of Paracelsus can break down elements and make them it's own, if the blade hits it. Direct quote is such;
"However, the high-density magical energy storage ability is but a secondary effect of the Noble Phantasm. Its true power lies within the Elixir that the blade is made out of, where it is a "
quantum computer" that is able to analyze and respond to the magical properties emitted by the opponent, before immediately encroaching it and making it his own; essentially an act of power snatching."
That would imply that if we hit the familiars with the blade, it will start to snatch away the corruption. The reason we had to use
Inguz was because the only other way to get the grief out of the soul gems would be to smash them and that's a whole lot of big nope. From the wiki, it seems that putting the corruption into the blade will then send it to the magical storage spot and that is what processes it.
Enetious' original vote for when we first used it also supports this;
--[X] (Archer) Project the Sword of Paracelsus and have Lancer deposit any Grief into the sword's high-density magical energy storage ability
---[X] Project and sympathize with the blade to correctly obtain the information necessary to break down any Grief stored within it using its function as a sword that can simulate True Ether (False) to destroy anything combined with its ability to neutralize magical properties
----[X] When Lancer is done depositing Grief into the blade, follow the necessary steps for neutralizing the Grief within it before dispelling it
In the original vote, he refers to it as a sword [meaning the whole item] but more specifically says we are putting it into the blade [the actual edge] which would imply that this is a weapon that can actually be used as such without any transfer runes being needed for free floating grief/corruption. This is somewhat supported speculation, but I think the way it works is the blade takes the energy in and puts it into the gem on the pommel, which is the actual magical storage stuff of it. The support for that, is with a Azoth sword, which is based off of Sword of Paracelsus, according to Rin, the magical energy is stored in the gem on its pommel.
If that's the case, then we probably should have Archer project one or two and hand them off to Assassin (given she would have a better ability to handle a new weapon immediately and its a short sword so similar enough to her dirks) so she can start filling and permanently putting them down. Hopefully.
RIGHT LONG TERM PLAN
I guess I'm doing this, because I would like us to have a long term plan just so that we have a guideline we can all agree on, going forward.
We have five attacks that I'd like to keep for later. The reason is because any of them does massive damage but has a limitation.
Unlimited Blade Works: Given what SVS and Enetious discussed (I actually went back a few pages to check this out... still trying to find any previous plans for Whatsaburger that were made before a week ago), Unlimited Blade Works will work and the damage will not back track to the real world (or at least dampen it) as well as weaken it. It will also massively boost the amount of attack power that Archer is able to dish out each turn. It would be active for 7 turns with a 8 turn cooldown without using a command seal or other such stuff.
Ea: The big daddy, the oh god Gilgamesh why do you have this attack. Caster!Gilgamesh has access to it, but if we use it, there is either going to be a one use time limitation during this battle or something horrendous happening. Point is, this needs to be used wisely.
Finitora Freccia Maggiore: This one is a mixed bag. SVS hinted at this being more effective after the break bars are gone and its actually hitting its health. It will also drain Homura and she needs to have a clean soul gem before doing it, since even with wunjo, the amount of corruption in the air will make it harder for her. The plus side of this, is its one of the few massive-damage non-servant attacks we got and given we are in the middle of basically a typhoon and ON the waterline, there is a metric crap ton of water vapor in the air which would make this pretty damn damaging.
Also I finally spelled the attack right! You may praise me now
Arondight: Lancelot's best ability. This one doesn't have the turn cooldowns like UBW nor is it the kind of thing that has a one-use limitation that Ea will PROBABLY have. What it does do, is hurt big sister badly and could quite possibly kill/witch her outright. It is an absurdly powerful Noble Phantasm at A++ rank as well as being a divine weapon which means UBW nor Gate of Babylon can replicate it.
Saber: Saber herself has some good A ranked Noble Phantasms. While the drain might not rival, say, Kirika's when Lancelot is going all out, Miyuki doesn't have the best mana capacity either. There is also the fact that for Saber to do maximum damage (The book of Wind + Two Heavens as One), she would have to get ridiculously close to the corruption and having Saber get corrupted/blackened would be pretty much a guarantee for a very VERY bad time (though she does have good luck and it would have to be a lucky hit, I don't want to take the chance at this time).
Special Mention:
I am the arrow of Madoka's Bow: Don't know what it'd fully do, very scary, lets hold off as last resort.
Excalibur: Archer has stated elsewhere that he can project it but the effort would kill him. Lets not kill dad.

So here's what I'd like to plan to do. At this time, we are able to fairly capably holding off Walpurgisnacht's attacks. I have zero doubts that this will get harder as time goes on or even impossible. At that point, I'd suggest deploying UBW. Enetious decided to hold off on UBW originally to see how things were going to play out and I would like to continue to hold it off. If we were the deploy it RIGHT NOW, it will turn off right when Wally finishes ticking. That's bad. Because at that point we know SOMETHING big will be happening. To quote the character description that SVS gave, "she completely roils the civilization on the ground in a flash through her gale-like flight. ". I'd rather keep that ground in a reality marble for when it happens. Also given the fact that UBW will/could weaken the corruption effects, I'd like to keep Saber from getting up close and personal with it until UBW is deployed or if other factors demand it.
Arondight's usage would be help, especially if we could spam it, but if we do it we will basically put Kirika unconscious
(or kill her) and only might stay conscious if we are lucky and set her up for it.
Should have had it so Kirika had a familiar bond with Oriko so she could pull mana from her dummy thicc capacity and then we could spam at least two of those attacks off the bat, i.e. Shirou and Rin from UBW. Alas, it is what it is. As such, I'd like to keep it off the table as a prepared attack for when the Break Bars, er, break.
Ea... is a thing we have access to, but again, much like UBW, it's either going to have a cool down or it'll be something we can practically only use once during this battle. I'd propose to keep it shelved until the ticking is close to the end or if we finally get through to Walpurgisnacht's health.
Finitora Freccia Maggiore is also something that I view in the same vein as Ea and Arondight, though it's much more likely that we can use it repeatedly than those two. While Homura has better capacity than, say, Kirika, she is also having to support Archer doing what Archer does and UBW later.
OVERALL: My overall strategy with this is that we should keep hammering Walpurgisnacht until it starts attacking us more than our defenses can manage before deploying UBW. Once we get it to its last break bar or even its proper health, we burst attack with Arondight, Ea, Finitora Freccia Maggiore and Saber. This is in addition to the others' attacks. The logic behind this (and I apologize if I'm just going in circles at this point) is that by bursting Walpurgisnacht right now, it may do a crap load of damage but it'll be in final boss stages of stupid strength (maybe!) and then we have to deal with it. As opposed to working it steadily to that point and then bursting it when the damage gets too high.
CURRENT GOALS: Keep damaging and attempt to mitigate the familiars. I think we can use the Sword of Paracelsus as outlined above, but SVS would need to verify, I think? It's a thought, anyway and will change the vote to match it, if approval is given. If we can, that would free up others for other stuff (not that I expect it to go so easy, but in a perfect world...) At the same time, I'd like to try and vary some of our attacks (see earlier discussion about pinpoint vs splash damage).
DISCUSSION: So there was something that was mentioned back when we were initially planning for Walpurgisnacht with the gang, namely that one of the only two Anti-Evil Noble Phantasms is something that Archer can project,
The Lord Camelot shield. Given that it works off willpower, I would suspect that the most capable people who could use it are Homura (who has quite literally never given up on her wish and has Perseverance as a Origin) or and this is going to sound a bit crazy, Assassin. I spent a while thinking of any other servant or magical girl who has a particularly large Will that will not break outside of Homura and the only ones I could think of are Gilgamesh, Lancer, or OG!Lancer. Or so I surmised originally. Assassin has a immense amount of willpower when it comes to Homura and her defense (if her devotion is anything to go by). The three servants I mentioned above also are doing DPS which is something that we basically are trying to maximize and we are only putting people on Defense or Familiars so DPS can continue uninterrupted. In addition, and not to knock Assassin too hard, but against Walpurgisnacht there isn't much that she CAN do. If she could use Lord Camelot, it might make her more useful... or not? Dunno. It's just something that's floating around my head and is a terrible idea so I'd like some opinions on it.
I might also be sleep deprived and slightly crazy because even this justification for Assassin sounds thin as 8mm film to me
Secondary and this goes out to the people who have been long time readers, like
@NMS and
@WanderingTwix (who are the only names I can think of off the top of my head, I'm sorry), but what were the plans that have been formulated over the years for this fight? I'm not one of the guys or gals who have been here for ages so I'm playing a big game of catch up when it comes to finding out what has been discussed previously and what not. Literally only started reading this quest from the beginning 10 days ago.
@SVS How does the logic of the Sword of Paracelsus look? In addition, you mentioned putting on limits for Ea... are these things we will find out in-character or...? Finally, do you want every attack for the people attacking Whatsaburger to be specified or just the general action?
Also, make sure to include in the plan that the missiles are amped by Homu before being amped by Lance.
Huh?
Man... when I said I would be a frequent poster last week and would help out the quest (and any sequel quest), I didn't expect it to turn into this so quickly ahahaha
Any questions or concerns? I'm not Enetious who I think could survive off of pure-Nasu knowledge as sustenance, I need to know what people think
P.S. Has Enetious ever disappeared like this before?
P.S.S.
Cell arc is the end of Dragon Ball. Everyone knows this. Everyone. Also
Cell was the big bad, anything else after that was just a bad fever dream and not real.
