Oh shit this Gil has Ea. That changes the game.

Once we break all her bars, having gil used a fully charged-multi command seal amped Ea while everyone else plays support should kill walp, once all her armor saves are gone. Or send her into third phase

Also, make sure to include in the plan that the missiles are amped by Homu before being amped by Lance.

Okay, this will probably get long...

I'm not sure it would work like that, considering we have to first transfer the Grief into the sword before the sword can remove it. Transferring Grief when it's going from one vessel to another is one thing, but you're asking us to transfer wild Grief that's currently occupying a distinct form. We also need Lancer because her Inguz is stronger than ours and she can do it faster than we can, and it still takes her awhile to move all the Grief from our spent Soul Gems into the sword. This while in peacetime; to say nothing of how much harder it would be to orchestrate when we're all trying to avoid dying every other second.

The logic I was going with, is that the Sword of Paracelsus can break down elements and make them it's own, if the blade hits it. Direct quote is such;

"However, the high-density magical energy storage ability is but a secondary effect of the Noble Phantasm. Its true power lies within the Elixir that the blade is made out of, where it is a "quantum computer" that is able to analyze and respond to the magical properties emitted by the opponent, before immediately encroaching it and making it his own; essentially an act of power snatching."

That would imply that if we hit the familiars with the blade, it will start to snatch away the corruption. The reason we had to use Inguz was because the only other way to get the grief out of the soul gems would be to smash them and that's a whole lot of big nope. From the wiki, it seems that putting the corruption into the blade will then send it to the magical storage spot and that is what processes it.

Enetious' original vote for when we first used it also supports this;

--[X] (Archer) Project the Sword of Paracelsus and have Lancer deposit any Grief into the sword's high-density magical energy storage ability
---[X] Project and sympathize with the blade to correctly obtain the information necessary to break down any Grief stored within it using its function as a sword that can simulate True Ether (False) to destroy anything combined with its ability to neutralize magical properties
----[X] When Lancer is done depositing Grief into the blade, follow the necessary steps for neutralizing the Grief within it before dispelling it

In the original vote, he refers to it as a sword [meaning the whole item] but more specifically says we are putting it into the blade [the actual edge] which would imply that this is a weapon that can actually be used as such without any transfer runes being needed for free floating grief/corruption. This is somewhat supported speculation, but I think the way it works is the blade takes the energy in and puts it into the gem on the pommel, which is the actual magical storage stuff of it. The support for that, is with a Azoth sword, which is based off of Sword of Paracelsus, according to Rin, the magical energy is stored in the gem on its pommel.

If that's the case, then we probably should have Archer project one or two and hand them off to Assassin (given she would have a better ability to handle a new weapon immediately and its a short sword so similar enough to her dirks) so she can start filling and permanently putting them down. Hopefully.

RIGHT LONG TERM PLAN

I guess I'm doing this, because I would like us to have a long term plan just so that we have a guideline we can all agree on, going forward.

We have five attacks that I'd like to keep for later. The reason is because any of them does massive damage but has a limitation.

Unlimited Blade Works: Given what SVS and Enetious discussed (I actually went back a few pages to check this out... still trying to find any previous plans for Whatsaburger that were made before a week ago), Unlimited Blade Works will work and the damage will not back track to the real world (or at least dampen it) as well as weaken it. It will also massively boost the amount of attack power that Archer is able to dish out each turn. It would be active for 7 turns with a 8 turn cooldown without using a command seal or other such stuff.

Ea: The big daddy, the oh god Gilgamesh why do you have this attack. Caster!Gilgamesh has access to it, but if we use it, there is either going to be a one use time limitation during this battle or something horrendous happening. Point is, this needs to be used wisely.

Finitora Freccia Maggiore: This one is a mixed bag. SVS hinted at this being more effective after the break bars are gone and its actually hitting its health. It will also drain Homura and she needs to have a clean soul gem before doing it, since even with wunjo, the amount of corruption in the air will make it harder for her. The plus side of this, is its one of the few massive-damage non-servant attacks we got and given we are in the middle of basically a typhoon and ON the waterline, there is a metric crap ton of water vapor in the air which would make this pretty damn damaging. Also I finally spelled the attack right! You may praise me now

Arondight: Lancelot's best ability. This one doesn't have the turn cooldowns like UBW nor is it the kind of thing that has a one-use limitation that Ea will PROBABLY have. What it does do, is hurt big sister badly and could quite possibly kill/witch her outright. It is an absurdly powerful Noble Phantasm at A++ rank as well as being a divine weapon which means UBW nor Gate of Babylon can replicate it.

Saber: Saber herself has some good A ranked Noble Phantasms. While the drain might not rival, say, Kirika's when Lancelot is going all out, Miyuki doesn't have the best mana capacity either. There is also the fact that for Saber to do maximum damage (The book of Wind + Two Heavens as One), she would have to get ridiculously close to the corruption and having Saber get corrupted/blackened would be pretty much a guarantee for a very VERY bad time (though she does have good luck and it would have to be a lucky hit, I don't want to take the chance at this time).

Special Mention:

I am the arrow of Madoka's Bow: Don't know what it'd fully do, very scary, lets hold off as last resort.

Excalibur: Archer has stated elsewhere that he can project it but the effort would kill him. Lets not kill dad.

xxx

So here's what I'd like to plan to do. At this time, we are able to fairly capably holding off Walpurgisnacht's attacks. I have zero doubts that this will get harder as time goes on or even impossible. At that point, I'd suggest deploying UBW. Enetious decided to hold off on UBW originally to see how things were going to play out and I would like to continue to hold it off. If we were the deploy it RIGHT NOW, it will turn off right when Wally finishes ticking. That's bad. Because at that point we know SOMETHING big will be happening. To quote the character description that SVS gave, "she completely roils the civilization on the ground in a flash through her gale-like flight. ". I'd rather keep that ground in a reality marble for when it happens. Also given the fact that UBW will/could weaken the corruption effects, I'd like to keep Saber from getting up close and personal with it until UBW is deployed or if other factors demand it.

Arondight's usage would be help, especially if we could spam it, but if we do it we will basically put Kirika unconscious (or kill her) and only might stay conscious if we are lucky and set her up for it. Should have had it so Kirika had a familiar bond with Oriko so she could pull mana from her dummy thicc capacity and then we could spam at least two of those attacks off the bat, i.e. Shirou and Rin from UBW. Alas, it is what it is. As such, I'd like to keep it off the table as a prepared attack for when the Break Bars, er, break.

Ea... is a thing we have access to, but again, much like UBW, it's either going to have a cool down or it'll be something we can practically only use once during this battle. I'd propose to keep it shelved until the ticking is close to the end or if we finally get through to Walpurgisnacht's health.

Finitora Freccia Maggiore is also something that I view in the same vein as Ea and Arondight, though it's much more likely that we can use it repeatedly than those two. While Homura has better capacity than, say, Kirika, she is also having to support Archer doing what Archer does and UBW later.

OVERALL: My overall strategy with this is that we should keep hammering Walpurgisnacht until it starts attacking us more than our defenses can manage before deploying UBW. Once we get it to its last break bar or even its proper health, we burst attack with Arondight, Ea, Finitora Freccia Maggiore and Saber. This is in addition to the others' attacks. The logic behind this (and I apologize if I'm just going in circles at this point) is that by bursting Walpurgisnacht right now, it may do a crap load of damage but it'll be in final boss stages of stupid strength (maybe!) and then we have to deal with it. As opposed to working it steadily to that point and then bursting it when the damage gets too high.

CURRENT GOALS: Keep damaging and attempt to mitigate the familiars. I think we can use the Sword of Paracelsus as outlined above, but SVS would need to verify, I think? It's a thought, anyway and will change the vote to match it, if approval is given. If we can, that would free up others for other stuff (not that I expect it to go so easy, but in a perfect world...) At the same time, I'd like to try and vary some of our attacks (see earlier discussion about pinpoint vs splash damage).

DISCUSSION: So there was something that was mentioned back when we were initially planning for Walpurgisnacht with the gang, namely that one of the only two Anti-Evil Noble Phantasms is something that Archer can project, The Lord Camelot shield. Given that it works off willpower, I would suspect that the most capable people who could use it are Homura (who has quite literally never given up on her wish and has Perseverance as a Origin) or and this is going to sound a bit crazy, Assassin. I spent a while thinking of any other servant or magical girl who has a particularly large Will that will not break outside of Homura and the only ones I could think of are Gilgamesh, Lancer, or OG!Lancer. Or so I surmised originally. Assassin has a immense amount of willpower when it comes to Homura and her defense (if her devotion is anything to go by). The three servants I mentioned above also are doing DPS which is something that we basically are trying to maximize and we are only putting people on Defense or Familiars so DPS can continue uninterrupted. In addition, and not to knock Assassin too hard, but against Walpurgisnacht there isn't much that she CAN do. If she could use Lord Camelot, it might make her more useful... or not? Dunno. It's just something that's floating around my head and is a terrible idea so I'd like some opinions on it. I might also be sleep deprived and slightly crazy because even this justification for Assassin sounds thin as 8mm film to me

Secondary and this goes out to the people who have been long time readers, like @NMS and @WanderingTwix (who are the only names I can think of off the top of my head, I'm sorry), but what were the plans that have been formulated over the years for this fight? I'm not one of the guys or gals who have been here for ages so I'm playing a big game of catch up when it comes to finding out what has been discussed previously and what not. Literally only started reading this quest from the beginning 10 days ago.

@SVS How does the logic of the Sword of Paracelsus look? In addition, you mentioned putting on limits for Ea... are these things we will find out in-character or...? Finally, do you want every attack for the people attacking Whatsaburger to be specified or just the general action?

Also, make sure to include in the plan that the missiles are amped by Homu before being amped by Lance.
Huh?

Man... when I said I would be a frequent poster last week and would help out the quest (and any sequel quest), I didn't expect it to turn into this so quickly ahahaha

Any questions or concerns? I'm not Enetious who I think could survive off of pure-Nasu knowledge as sustenance, I need to know what people think :p

P.S. Has Enetious ever disappeared like this before?
P.S.S.
Cell arc is the end of Dragon Ball. Everyone knows this. Everyone. Also
Cell was the big bad, anything else after that was just a bad fever dream and not real.

The logic looks sound. I think I can allow it in lieu of Enetious telling me "That's not how it works." If usage limits are put on Ea, that won't be something we'll know in-character, because it would be a mechanical constraint rather than a naturalistic one if decided to limit it. Making everything specific in your plans is preferable to general, thank you.
P.S. Has Enetious ever disappeared like this before?
The longest he's been absent is three days, but even then I'd still see him online every so often even if he wasn't doing anything. This is the first time he's gone completely radio silent, and I'm worried.

>_<

I hope Enetious is okay. He seems like a cool dude.

@SVS Thanks for the clarification, I'll make a revised vote shortly given new information and what not.

REVISED PLAN V3, TURN 3 OF WALPURGISNACHT
Aka; keep doing what we are doing but have Caster do a full team buff and hopefully Assassin is about to become incredibly useful and will be getting a lot of rewards later from her masterfu.

I.e. Plan Assassin assassinates some girls.

[X] Defense:
[X] Caster keeps holding it down, and activates the full power of his Sha Nqba Imuru. FULL TEAM BUFF
[X] Secondary: Start blasting away with Gate of Babylon (optimize for area of effect instead of pinpoint).
[X] Saber activates book of Water and uses that to chop incoming buildings and fire attacks from a distance.
[X] Secondary: Cover attack runs of Lancer, OG!Lancer and Rider
[X] Third priority if possible is DPS *press F to doubt*
[X] Offense:
[X] Lancelot USES CRUISE MISSILES!!! (this amuses me)
[X] Works with the Railgun attack as well for additional boost.
[X] Mami & Oriko use railgun (staying mindful of soul gem corruption.) and let Lancelot take over for added boost when appropriate.
[X] OG!Lancer & Rider make another attack run. Gae Bolg while Rider continues to use Troias Tragoidia. Not really anything different here, though Kyouko WILL need to cleanse her soul gem after this attack, I'd wager.
[X] This is a really dumb idea, but Rider could try and get Walispurgisnacht to shoot a building at him and dodge it and possibly have it hit itself? Dumb idea but its a thought. He does have an ABSURD level of agility only if its convenient
[X] Bazett finishes her arm charging (Mystic Code Airgetlám) and attacks Walpurgisnacht
[X] Secondary protecting the other masters and what not as per last vote.
[X] Lancer keeps doing her thing but not to the point of death. Dead Bryn is a bad, bad thing. She should be mostly unaffected by fire. Too close for buildings. Noble Phantasm again since Oriko can take it and the commands are still valid for her.
[X] Archer project a pair of Sword of Paracelsus for Assassin (I've been assuming she dual wields but I have nothing to back it up).
[X] Primary post-projection is covering for OG!Lancer, Lancer and Rider as they make attack runs if needed.
[X] Secondary is to just DPS Walpurgisnacht. (optimize for piercing/pinpoint attacks) Use Broken Hrunting and the like.
[X] Familiars:
[X] Assassin's going to be useful to her master this turn, its finally Serenity's time to shine!
[X] Acquire Sword(s) of Paracelsus from Archer.
[X] Start going to town with them. It should be enough to start permanently taking away the familiars.
[X] DO NOT GET HIT, USE THAT A+ RANKED AGILITY YOU SPIFFY POISON GIRL, USE IT WELL!
[X] Kirika: Continues doing her job, protects the waifu and sisteru; may create chains of claws to help Assassin, Kyouko and Miyuki out if needed
[X] Kyouko is going to keep attacking the familiars, but more specifically keeping them busy if Assassin's new attacks are able to keep them down. Objective do no get hit. Miyuki won't die from getting hit with corruption and Assassin is stupid fast and also a servant, but Kyouko is plenty fast in her own way and also has almost as much experience as Mami.
[X] Miyuki should try using her different elements to see if anything can hurt more than others. Primarily is going to be helping Kyouko keeping the familiars occupied (since she isn't as effected by corruption) while Assassin assassinates them (hopefully).
[X] Other
[X] Homura
[X] Observe. Secondary, help out with familiar fights with Isa arrows if needed.
[X] Specifically watch for new tricks emerging or new attacks (highest priority)
[X] See which is doing more damage, pinpoint or splash.
[X] Check to see how everyone's soul gems are doing (is possible)
Questions, concerns, or suggestions? Of the three servants who are currently pure DPS and spamming noble phantasms at Walpurgisnacht... OG!Lancer's Noble Phantasm has a very low mana usage, Oriko is appearently a freak when it comes to how much mana she has and Kyouko is one of the most veteran magical girls (if not most, after Mami and Homura) and would be more efficient in mana usage and has the second largest capacity so she SHOULD be fine but after this attack she'll probably need to take a step back to clean her soul gem. No idea how much Rider spamming his attack is actually effecting her.

The concerns and questions I laid out in the earlier post today are still valid (in regards to previous plans), if you know anything, let me know, since I have a feeling that I'm going to be the one to step in for the time being until Enetious gets back.

FYI: I can do these big votes as needed, especially since its Walpurgisnacht, but I'll be limited on time once the week starts up.

Then we'd better get him back.

I'm not opposed to changing it, the concern I have, however, is that whenever Oriko tries to precog it, it makes her basically fall apart. In addition, Caster using his ultimate non-Ea NP does much the same, though we've established that they overlap but not completely.

Huh, found another thing that we can do, albeit it'll kill Lancer (at the cost of an attack that could wipe out something the size of Tokyo). So gonna put that with our final stand type attacks like Archer's Excalibur. Since it will the user.
"
If she demonstrates the true power of this Skill without possessing a Divinity Rank of A or higher, in addition to receiving restrictions on the use of her Noble Phantasm, severe damage enters her spiritual core and Brynhildr will soon disappear.[1]With this skill, Brynhildr is able to negate Paracelsus von Hohenheim's Magecraft as her runes are said to be a million times more powerful than what modern mages use. Referred to as the Rune of Origin, when activated, it strengthens her Rune Magic, allows her to fly, temporarily amplifies her parameters, and even enables her to attain demi-god status. Though its use requires sealing her second Noble Phantasm, Brynhildr Komédia, the Runes itself is so potent that it could be classified as her third Noble Phantasm, and it could destroy Tokyo when fully powered."

So that's a final option. Not a good option but another one.

And now I'm going to start shifting through old posts to see if I can find anything else to help wheeeeeeeee (I have far more time today than I thought)

Day 47 Chapter 4
[X] Jefardi

Caster's golden fetters, for all their worth in preventing Walpurgisnacht's continued advance inland, have done nothing to stop Walpurgisnacht from listing another "tick;" despite their constant poking, Kyouko and Assassin have been ineffective at preventing the fallen familiars from reconstituting their cursed forms; and the shadows of several buildings loom over your head.

"Man, talk about depressing," Kyouko says, driving her spear through the form of a familiar which reverts back to the black ichor it was formed of as soon as her spear is removed from its chest. "Didn't that thing just throw a building at us, like, not even a minute ago?"

"It'll throw more at us than that."

"Don't worry about a thing!" In a flash, Saber has sheathed her glowing red katana, drawing one which shines blue to replace it. "Noble Phantasm! Go Rin No Sho!" Water surges from nothing as Saber swings her sword, lobbing huge arcs of high-pressure water jets in the direction of each building. Like a lifetime of erosion crammed into a single instant, buildings are torn asunder with each swing of Saber's blade, and when her work is done she calls out "Someone get us an AoE before we're all crushed by rubble!"

Caster steps forward at his master's silent urging. In an instant your vision is flooded with gold as dozens of portals are opened up in the sky, and the falling rubble is reduced to a fine powder by the force of Caster's barrage of swords and staves. "Allies!" Caster calls out as his attack concludes. "You will need this! Accept the might of I, the King, who has seen the Deep! Sha Naqba Imuru!" Caster brings his foot down, and a wave of golden light emanates from his center. As it washes over you, you feel stronger; likely, the others do too. "Now, while my power courses through you! Attack! Be unrelenting!"

No one needs to be told twice. Tomoe-san and Mikuni Oriko make ready another pair of their ultimate weapons. "Tiro..."

"-fulmine!"
and release, their twin bursts of golden light joined by Berserker, firing on Walpurgisnacht with a barrage from both his missile launchers and from the original pair of Tiro Fulmine he had co-opted not too long ago. "Lancer!" Mikuni Oriko cries out, her voice barely heard over the din of battle. "Hit Walpurgisnacht with your Noble Phantasm again!"

"You too Rider!"

"And you, Lancer!"

"Guess I should probably get in on this as well," Archer says. Whispering his mantra under his breath, your father Projects two identical blades, the same ones used by he and Lancer to cleanse your team's Grief Seeds. He tosses them to Assassin, saying "Use those instead of your regular daggers," before immediately transitioning back to his bow. "I am the bone of my sword," he whispers, calling into his hands a long, jagged shape closer in form to a bolt of lightning than an arrow. Just as the spear-wielding trio had done before, Lancer, Rider, and McRemitz-san's Lancer all make their move together, and joined now by Archer the quartet set alight the sky and drowning out the sound of the storm with their cries.

"Brynhildr Romantia!"

"Troias Tragōidia!"

"Gáe Bolg!"

"Hrunting!"

But joining the din this time is a fifth voice. "Flash, silver-coloured arm! Claíomh Solais!" The city awoke to a sunless morning today, but the flash of light as McRemitz-san's silver arm explodes could have served as a substitute of unparalleled quality. The sleeve of her suit jacket is ripped apart from the force of her arm deploying the sword of light, and with her arm raised towards the heavens the blade makes the several-kilometers leap to join the others in striking Walpurgisnacht.

That just leaves the familiars.

The closest member of your team to your immediate position is Kirika. She's been keeping you and Mikuni Oriko safe from marauding familiars so far, deploying her clawed chain attack to drive away any familiars who try to wander in close. While she's doing well for herself, you can see how her face is steadily turning paler each time she or Berserker attacks. "Are you alright?" you call out to her.

"I'm fine!" Kirika replies, sending her claws through the torsos of a pair of nearby familiars, shredding them. "Guess I wasn't expecting this to go on as long as it has, that's all! How're the others holding up?"

Your eyes dart over Kyouko and Nagatsuki Miyuki. While both of them are still capable and continue to tear through the throng of familiars with ease, neither could be said to be in top form anymore. Kyouko especially; you can't imagine how she's feeling after supporting two Noble Phantasms from her glutton of a servant. "I'm fine!" Kyouko calls out. "Just gimme some cover so I can cleanse myself and I'll be good ta keep going!"

You can easily supply the necessary cover. There's so much water vapour in the air that you hardly need to draw back your hand before a flight of arrows forms on your fingers. You loose, sending the icy projectiles raining down between Kyouko and the familiars on all sides of her. It's not much, but the few seconds of reprieve your arrows give to Kyouko is enough for her to cleanse her Soul Gem. "Thanks Spooky!" she calls out, rejoining the fight newly refreshed. "I owe ya one!"

"You can repay me by not dying!" you respond, before loosing another volley of arrows at whatever you can to take the burden off of your allies on the ground. As you've loosed arrow after arrow, you've tried to keep your eyes attuned to what has been working and what hasn't; whether certain attack have dealt more damage than others, whether pinpoint attacks have done more than area-of-effect attacks; that sort of thing. Unfortunately, you have yet to see any indication that anything is dealing any more damage to Walpurgisnacht than anything else; and as for the familiars, it's equally hard to say.

Neither fire nor ice have succeeded in putting any familiar down for good, though you and Kyouko have both given it your every attempt, just as Nagatsuki Miyuki has with her own elemental strikes. But just as neither fire nor ice have done the job, so too have earth and electricity been ineffective at putting the familiars down for any length of time. In fact, so far the only attack that has been anything more than a minor inconvenience to the familiars was the first strike on them by McRemitz-san's Lancer. Lancer's Noble Phantasm took all twenty-three familiars down at once, and managed to keep them down for some time as well, even if it wasn't for very long.

But now, you're seeing something else that's doing the job just as well. Assassin has done admirable work with the short swords Archer gave to her; the two familiars she struck down have reverted back to ichor and have remained that way. While you, Kyouko, Kirika, and Nagatsuki Miyuki have had less success than Assassin in permanently downing their own combated familiars, at least so far you've managed to reduce their numbers somewhat, even if it's just by two. That's the first good thing you've seen so far.

Of course, it was only a matter of time before something came along to spoil it. That malevolent chorus of laughter rings out as once again Walpurgisnacht emerges from the ruin of your allies' strikes unharmed, and- That's a lot of buildings. "Incoming!"

Oh thank God no one died. This was the first vote I've ever made that actually got votes and won for any quest and no one died yet ahahahahahahahahaha

Give me a moment, I think I can handle putting a vote together tonight after my heart calms down

...I was going to do this two hours ago but then the power went out and my computer took a while before it chose life. It's okay computer, the big scary lightning won't hurt you anymore.

NOPE IT HAPPENED AGAIN, I'M SORRY COMPUTER I'M A LIAR

If I lose power again tonight, that has to be a sign of something, I swear...

Right, break down of everything that happened in this last turn;

ASSASSIN DID A USEFUL THING! 21/23 remaining familiars at present. Number is liable to go up or down. But we can at least reliably kill them in some manner. I'd arm Miyuki with one of those swords, but I believe its a wholly different type of sword than she is used to and would be more liable to hurt her then help her. This also means that we should DEFINITELY get Lancelot a sword or two in case he needs to wade into the fight with the familiars. For the moment we have it mostly under control. I fully expect more to pop up as we go through more break bars.

We are now buffed. No idea how long it lasts for, but we are dealing more damage. Kirika is taking some strain which means she needs to cleanse pretty soon. I also don't doubt Mami needing a cleanse soon either, since while she might have the most efficiency when it comes to mana usage... Gilgamesh... is a thing.

This brings me to a thought I had today.

Between the six of us magical girls, we literally have 145 Grief seeds (Homura 33, Oriko 38, Kirika 32, Mami 16, Kyouko 23 and Miyuki 3). If there was ever a time to start burning through them, especially if we can refresh them later, now is the time. This also leads me to the next point of discussion we need to process...

Homura's time stop is going to be off limited usage since the corruption will be decreasing its efficiency the longer this goes on. I would propose that we use time stop mostly just so we can have a moment to do soul gem cleansing and necessary dodging. We have time-stop for the moment and I believe grief seed cleansing will outweigh the costs, and we have a crapload of grief seeds. Its not very economical, but I'll take it.

I also entirely forgot the fact that even if Saber can start slicing the buildings apart, we still have debris incoming.

As it stands, I'm going to have Archer and Saber on defense. Saber can keep building slicing and Archer will take care of the debris. It takes him longer to generate more powerful projectiles than Gilgamesh so it'd be a better use of his time.

You know how I mentioned I'd like to hold off on Lancelot using Arondight? Yeah, well I'm a liar. I'd like to use it now. The problem is I don't know if it's going to knock out Kirika immediately. The last time we used it, there was no dampening and Berserker had been going ham for a while, so it's quite possible that if Kirika had a clean soul gem, dampening and was holding a grief seed to her soul gem that she'd be fine. But we have no promises on that front.

Also no idea how many break bars are left... I'd guess we broke another one? Maybe two if a higher power is smiling upon us this day.

...I had a lot more ideas but losing power twice in a row has broken my train of thought quite severely. I may come back to the vote later.

[X] Defense:
[X] Archer
[X] Primary is mulching the debris from whatever buildings Saber mulches. The buff for Caster should help.

Couple of questions; how well does Saber do with non-katana swords? Like Sword of Paracelsus (which I'm probably abusing right now) for instance? Assuming that this is the winning vote, how long do you want to wait on this before deciding to write, @SVS ? I ask because, as I said earlier, I had a train of thought for this vote but I lost it after repeatedly having power outages... and also I really can't think of anything else to do for this. Very few changes for this vote and I apologize for the lack of variety. We are using pretty much optimal attacks right now. I'd like to go over this again in the morning.

Also, what's the limit of what can be done in a turn per person? Just keep it reasonable?

Suggestions, comments or concerns?

Also need suggestions for Bazett and OG!Lancer. I got nothing for Bazett and I'm just going to have OG!Lancer spam that one attack over and over again and again because it seems pretty good. I'd say that for Lancer as well, but she is literally buffed with Command Seals and is spamming one of her three most powerful attacks. The second of that trio of attacks has almost nothing on it in the wiki and the third one is probably only outclassed by Ea but will kill Bryn as it will wreck her spirit core. We don't want that. For now.

Come now, Jefardi, now is not the time for fear.
I get the reference, but I'm always a nervous person. More so when I'm in this kind of situation since I've never done actual vote posting before and a fair bit is riding upon it.

I'd arm Miyuki with one of those swords, but I believe its a wholly different type of sword than she is used to and would be more liable to hurt her then help her.

Couple of questions; how well does Saber do with non-katana swords?
Different swords have different balances. Saber may be a better swordswoman than Miyuki, but I'm doubtful she's ever seen a blade not from Japan until her summoning right now. Even if we assume the sword of Paracelsus is the same length as a shorter wakizashi , the difference in weight, balance, and the curvature of the blade is likely going to throw Saber off. She's fine the way she is, but we definitely afford to give one or two to Berserker if we'd rather take him off Wallyworld duty.
Between the six of us magical girls, we literally have 145 Grief seeds (Homura 33, Oriko 38, Kirika 32, Mami 16, Kyouko 23 and Miyuki 3)
We can assume that number is actually 150. Miyuki's friends each have two Seeds, but it's not like they would need the extra two, and there was an extra Seed floating around that was never given an "official" owner, so if we say that went to Miyuki as well that would give her eight Seeds and give our team a total of 150.

Wait, what? It takes Archer longer to generate blades that Caster, so you're having Archer on defense because it's a better use of his time? I'm failing to see the logic in this when Caster is already suited for AoE defense against massive amounts of incoming debris by merit of being, you know, Gilgamesh with his GoB.
Also no idea how many break bars are left... I'd guess we broke another one? Maybe two if a higher power is smiling upon us this day.
As long as we keep hitting her, the countdown at the bottom of each update also applies to the number of Break bars Wallyworld has.
Also, what's the limit of what can be done in a turn per person? Just keep it reasonable?
Take a look at what I said at the beginning of the fight- Consider economy of action for each person you're moving, and take into account that each update is, from an OOC mechanical perspective, representing one "turn" of combat. So yes, keep it reasonable
Also need suggestions for Bazett and OG!Lancer. I got nothing for Bazett
Bazett can punch things. Really. Really good. She has a variety of combat runes inscribed in just about every article of clothing she wears, and Airgetlám's reinforced knuckles let it punch as hard as one of her strengthening rune-enchanced punches form her fleshy fist. There's the Claíomh Solais which we've already seen, and she has five uses of Fragarach for whenever Wallyworld decides to use her strongest ability. Aside from the Claíomh Solais, Bazett doesn't really have any options against an opponent floating several kilometers above her striking distance, so leaving her to help out against familiars or snipe at Wallyworld with the Claíomh Solais is about the best she can do unless Wallyworld decides to engage us on the ground.

Also, consider improving the format for your votes, because the way you do it makes it hard for the vote system to parse. Your votes should look like this, for example:
[ ] TURN 4, VOTE V1.0: WALPURGISNACHT
-[ ] Defense
--[ ] Archer
---[ ] Whatever Archer is doing goes here
--[ ] Saber
---[ ] Whatever Saber is doing goes here
-[ ] Offense
--[ ] et cetera
---[ ] et cetera
See how it's staggered with the lines, and there's only one item that doesn't have anything before the [ ] ? That's how your votes should look in order for the vote tally to read them properly. Also, take into account what I said above about economy of action, and for the most part try to only have one thing under each person; two if their two actions are similar or complimentary enough that they can be done in relative tandem.

I figured as much, but thought there was no harm in double checking... ya never know what might be possible if you don't!

squints ...yup that's my bad. The logic made sense in my head, or specifically I was writing it and then a power outage made me lose my train of thought and somehow it ended up going into that. My bad!

I'll do a revised vote tomorrow at some point, hopefully will be done within 13 or 14 hours from now.

[X] TURN 4, VOTE V2.2: WALPURGISNACHT
-[X] Defense:
--[X] Caster
---[X] Primary is mulching the debris from whatever buildings Saber mulches.
---[X] Keep holding down Walpurgisnacht from advancing into the city.
--[X] Saber
---[X] Book of Water and uses that to chop incoming buildings and fire attacks from a distance.
-[X] Offense:
--[X] Archer
---[X] Keep blasting Walpurgisnacht. Caladbolg II or Hrunting (open to suggestions)
---[X] Secondary: project two more copies of the Sword of Paracelsus for Lancelot
--[X] Lancelot
---[X] Continue to be artillery. Missiles + Railguns
--[X] Mami & Oriko use railgun
---[X] Soul Gem cleanse time this turn. Mami probably needs it especially.
---[X] Keep adding railguns to Lancelot.
--[X] OG!Lancer & Rider make another attack run. Gae Bolg while Rider continues to use Akhilleus Kosmos.
--[X] Lancer keeps doing her thing but not to the point of death. Noble Phantasm again since Oriko can take it and the commands are still valid for her.
-[X] Familiars:
--[X] Assassin I'm so proud of her

---[X] BIG SISTER CLEANSES HER DAMN SOUL GEM after this and if there is a sequel quest we really need to get her some mana battery or gems to store mana in
---[X] Continues doing her job, protects the waifu and sisteru; may create chains of claws to help Assassin, Kyouko and Miyuki out if needed
--[X] Bazett
---[X] Offer her a sword of Paracelsus if she thinks she can handle it. Regardless, have her start setting up the Familiars for death via Assassin
---[X] We need to take stock on her mana. (Have Homura ask her) Need to know how much OG!Lancer is taking from her and how many more times she can do that sword.
--[X] Kyouko
---[X] Crowd control with her spear lattice stuff, setting them up for Assassin to go in for the kill.
--[X] Miyuki
---[X] Primarily is going to be helping Kyouko keeping the familiars occupied while Assassin assassinates them.
---[X] Soul gem cleanse when appropriate this turn.
-[X] Other
--[X] Homura
---[X] Specifically watch for new tricks emerging or new attacks (highest priority)
---[X] Secondary, help out with familiar fights with Isa arrows if needed.
---[X] Cleanse when appropriate. time stop and force a meguca to cleanse if necessary (it shouldn't be).

Edit 2.1: Adding more railguns to lancelot.
Edit 2.2: The de-bloating, adding bazett to familiars and kyouko to crowd control.

Alright, here is the revised plan. Overall, its keep up the attack while cleansing this turn, as at least Kirika and probably Mami are feeling strain. The things I'm not happy with this vote are that I feel like we are under utilizing Archer. There should be some wacky or powerful thing he can shoot but for the life of me I just can't find it. It's why I was going to have Caster and Archer switch roles. Caster could do higher DPS then Archer and if my understanding of the system is correct, Archer could output less destructive arrows at a faster rate then, say, Hrunting which would break up the building debris... Though in hindsight that's dumb, since it's not AOE and if he COULD project it fast enough, it's probably not worth it.

I may be focusing too much on the familiars if only because we are getting some kind of net change by fighting them, positive or negative. If they start overwhelming, I'm going to have Lancelot move over to that to fight them.

How viable for Kyouko to use Giant Spear ?

Yes and no. Kyouko can use it, it'd be of... dubious use right now. If she made giant spear and used it against the familiars, it'd mess up our battle with them since others are currently in the fray, like Miyuki and Assassin who'd have to dodge. If she could generate them fast enough, she could probably be put on building defense but even then that wouldn't be enough, I think, to free up Caster for more DPS.

@WanderingTwix Go for it!

I'm half-asleep because my sleep schedule is once again messy, but sure, I can look at this.
--[X] Mami & Oriko use railgun (staying mindful of soul gem corruption.) and let Lancelot take over for added boost when appropriate.
I gotta ask at this point whether they're using the same railgun as last time, or if they're making a 3rd one. TBH, probably not a problem, because making a 2nd one made sense last time because it was a 'one for me, one for you' deal, so using the same one would just make sense this time. Still, I'm paranoid, so I'm pointing it out.
Is Lancelot unable to attack himself while using the missiles and stuff? If you're projecting swords for Lancelot to use, then I would assume he can, which brings me to the next point of asking why Lancelot doesn't have a line saying he will attack with said swords.
---[X] Going to keep attacking the familiars, but more specifically keeping them busy if Assassin's new attacks are able to keep them down.
Kyouko can make chains too, yes? Maybe you could mention her using those?
---[X] Time-stop if the buildings start overwhelming. Even with increased corruption, she has enough grief seeds to spare and they are a renewable resource now.
Do you think that Saber using Book of Earth to make super hut would be a viable alternative to time stop if buildings are too stronk? I am just very averse to using time stop unless there's no other option. I believe from the one time Homura did use time stop that the increase in corruption is exponential, so it'll get to the point where time stop will just insta-witch her if we use it too much, and we're gonna need time stop for whatever Walpy has in store for us later. The latter one to force cleansing is fine, because that's definitely a last resort scenario.
The things I'm not happy with this vote are that I feel like we are under utilizing Archer. There should be some wacky or powerful thing he can shoot but for the life of me I just can't find it.
I feel ya. I swear Enetious has an eidetic memory with all the stuff he has Archer pull out of his ass.

Hmm, getting kinda samey, huh? Makes me worried for when things do start changing.

Lancelot is using the first pair of Tiro Fulmine that Mami and Oriko made, and Mami and Oriko are using the second pair. There's no need to include that Lancelot "take over" unless you're hoping to add another pair of cannons to his arsenal when he already has five (one Type 88 SSM, two Harpoon ASM, one pair Tiro Fulmine).
Is Lancelot unable to attack himself while using the missiles and stuff? If you're projecting swords for Lancelot to use, then I would assume he can, which brings me to the next point of asking why Lancelot doesn't have a line saying he will attack with said swords.
Lancelot is currently locked into being our main artillery. He can disconnect from all his missile launchers and go ham on familiars with swords, but then we're losing a valuable source of "hitting Wallyworld really hard." On the other hand, having him switch from artillery support to familiar control would also lessen the burden he's currently placing on Kirika. That's something we have to think about, whether changing his focus to something we've already got a handle on is worth it for the decrease in strain on Kirika.
Kyouko can make chains too, yes? Maybe you could mention her using those?
Kyouko's chains are primarily meant for forming defensive lattices, rather than as an offensive weapon like Kirika's chains. She can break her spear into a chain-segmented weapon for extra reach, but I don't think that's what you're thinking of here.
Do you think that Saber using Book of Earth to make super hut would be a viable alternative to time stop if buildings are too stronk?
It should be. I guarantee we'd be able to dig ourselves out of the rubble when all was said and done, but just for keeping us safe from being squashed by buildings Book of Earth will work.
How viable for Kyouko to use Giant Spear ?
Yes and no. Kyouko can use it, it'd be of... dubious use right now.
A better use for it would be against Wallyworld, but it also takes a lot out of Kyouko to use it. But if we'd have her dealing Wallyworld damage instead of familiar damage this would be the way to do it and she does have the Grief Seeds to recoup her losses.
Hmm, getting kinda samey, huh? Makes me worried for when things do start changing.
We're just at that stage in the fight; there's nothing I can do to make this interesting outside of increasing the number of buildings Wallyworld throws at us. If Enetious were still here, we'd have probably already moved on to the next phase, but since he's been gone...

You know, I never thought it would take losing my most prolific contributor to get the kind of audience participation I'd always wanted. You get what you wish for, I guess.
