In the canon timeline proper, I imagine the Incubators have a way of disposing of Grief Seeds of abnormal size. The problem here is that, Kyubey was forced out of Mitakihara, and Wally's Seed is buried dozens of meters underground. We would need to properly excavate it entirely before Juubey could get rid of it for us.
Now just humor me, if we assume sidonia and her familiar + servant doesn't bother us. Can we use rune to make the surrounding earth below wally grief seed go upward? This make the grief seed become above ground?

I'll humour you and say that yes, that would be possible. However, I cannot humour you to say that Sidonia would just let us take Walpurgisnacht's Grief Seed, because that's currently one of the few assets of hers that she still controls outright. We took the shard of Dáinsleif, we took Twardowski's Mirror and all of her research notes. Heck, I'm surprised we didn't also take her effigies, but I guess we draw the line at stealing family heirlooms. She isn't going to let us take Walpurgisnacht's Grief Seed just like that.
So if we trap sidonia and Sigurd in archer RM (archer is accompanied with every servant except those that can use rune) to stall sidonia and Sigurd then the rune master and jubey have a bit of time to steal wally grief seed right? We can make use rider summon (spinx) and our master and a few mythical beast in rider base as rune master bodyguard from the Familiars right?
I mean we can also Steel the effigies maybe it's important to sidonia goal
I went over this with the others when we found them in her workshop. They're just wooden idols; just representations. Sidonia would continue to worship and invoke the powers of their associated deities with or without them. I imagine that's the real reason we didn't stop to steal them the first time around, and not the fact that they're family heirlooms, which we didn't know at the time, and which we still don't (IC) know.
And which seemed to go over everybody's heads when I posted the relevant omake a while back.

This is it, you think as your eyes open to sunlight creeping through the windows of Oriko's living room. Today is the thirty-first of October; your last free day before everything goes to hell. You need to make the most of today, and there's a lot that's on your mind to do.
You make a mental checklist of everything you have to accomplish today; you need to turn Hijiri Kanna over to the Pleiades Saints. You need to finish making any preparations for battle tomorrow that you can; that includes making sure that Lancer finishes those luck charms, making sure Wakaba Mirai's Mystic Code isn't going to fail on her, and if the Saints decide to work with you, it also includes making sure Wakaba Mirai can stand up to the mana of both Kazumi and Hijiri Kanna supporting her. Otherwise, you'll also need to oversee and be okay with whatever judgement the Saints pass down onto the traitorous little rat. You might also need to speak to her parents. If Matou Sakura's array is complete, that might also include activating it, unless she would rather save it to be actively used against Sidonia tomorrow. You need to get your mom out of Mitakihara and somewhere safe.
That's not even the last of them. You're sure there are more things you need to take care of that just aren't coming to your mind at the moment. Those are probably important as well.
But for right now, with the smell of breakfast cooking in the kitchen and the sounds of your father and mother's voices distant as they cook, you decide to tackle one thing at a time. "Homura? Sweetie, could you make sure Oriko and Kirika are awake?" you hear your mother calling out to you, before, under her breath, she adds in a low voice "And that they aren't doing anything your father and I wouldn't approve of."
"Right!" you call back, picking yourself up off the floor where you laid your futon to rest the night before. Your pyjamas are wrinkled and looking slept-in, but you doubt either Oriko or your sister will care. Plus your own change of clothes is in the guest bedroom, so you'd need to go upstairs anyway in order to change.
You make your way upstairs, and turn at the hall to approach the door to Oriko's bedroom. You knock, and call out "Oriko, Kirika, mom said it's time for breakfast."
A polite, but hurried voice responds "Just a moment, Akemi-san." You'll give the couple more than just a moment, just in case they were in the middle of something your parents wouldn't approve of, and you need plausible deniability. Finally, after what is definitely more than a moment, the sounds of shuffling come to an end, and Oriko opens the door. "Do you know what Archer and Minako-san are making for breakfast?" she asks.
"No, but it smelled nice."
Oriko steps out of her bedroom, straightening her hair and her pyjamas as she crosses the threshold into the hall. Kirika lags behind, hopping on one foot as she struggles to slip her other foot through her pant leg. "Mornin' sis," she says, hopping to catch up with Oriko. "Sleep well?"
"Well enough."
You don't have to direct Oriko or Kirika down to the kitchen of their own home, so rather than follow them, you move on down the hall, to the station set up by Nightingale the night before. You ease open the door that didn't exist just twelve hours earlier, and find the patient sitting upright. Hijiri Kanna's knees are drawn up to her chin, her remaining arm wrapped around her legs and she tries to keep her tears silent. You don't mean to stare, but you find yourself unable to speak up for several seconds, until the words "Are you okay?" leave your throat, entirely of their own volition.
Another several seconds pass, as Hijiri Kanna forces herself to stop her silent sobbing, but it's still several seconds more beyond that before she's able to say "No," to you. "It's just hitting me now how badly I screwed everything up…" she says. "I had a family… I had two arms… I had a future… I don't have any of that now, just a bunch of people who are pissed at me and want me dead…"
Hijiri Kanna throws her head back, and she stares up at the ceiling; "And for what? So I could sell my soul to a woman who didn't even care that much about me in the first place?"
"You were manipulated by her," you say. You may still be mad at Hijiri Kanna for endangering your family by selling your location to Sidonia, but you're past the point where hammering her over the head with how angry you are at her will help the situation. So you do your best to remain calm in her presence. "Yes, you chose to do evil things in order to assist Sidonia, but it isn't your fault that she was able to manipulate you. You aren't the first person who's been manipulated into choosing to do evil, and you won't be the last, either. The only thing that's in your power to change is what you're going to do now to make up for your actions."
"It's a little late for that, isn't it?" Hijiri Kanna asks. "Maybe if I had spoken up earlier, but tomorrow's the big day… I don't know why you didn't just leave me there in that alley to die."
"Because that's not who I am," you say. Maybe it was, once. Maybe, a long time ago, the Akemi Homura who was singularly obsessed with defeating Walpurgisnacht and keeping Madoka from contracting above all else would have left Hijiri Kanna to die. That Akemi Homura is dead and buried, and the new you has tried her hardest to hold yourself to a standard that Madoka would approve of. "You wronged me, but leaving you to die in that alley wouldn't have undone that wrong. I need you alive because that's the only way you can make up for what you've done."
Hijiri Kanna picks her head up, and stares at you. It's unnerving, staring back at someone and only seeing one arm on their shoulder, where previously you had known them to have both, but you push past the unease settling in your stomach, as Hijiri Kanna asks "How do you know that's even possible for me now?"
"Because nobody is perfect," you say. "Oriko and Kirika once did something really bad, something they thought they couldn't ever take back. They've since helped to save the world, twice now, and I count them among my very closest friends. If they can make such a drastic turnaround, then I have to believe anyone can do the same."
Are you sure you aren't just channelling your inner Oriko with that cheesy line? Geez, your sister's girlfriend has really rubbed off on you.
Wait, no, use a different phrasing. If Kirika hears you thinking like that, she'll try to make an innuendo out of it.
"Now come on," you say, offering Hijiri Kanna a hand. "Breakfast is almost ready, and we've got a long day ahead of us."
In particular, after breakfast you want to
[ ] Check in with Lancer, Tohsaka-san, and Matou Sakura to check on the progress of whatever they're working on
[ ] Interrogate Hijiri Kanna again, now that her mind is clear of Grief
-[ ] Did she leave anything out when talking about her meetings and interactions with Sidonia?
-[ ] Did she leave anything out when telling you what Sidonia's plans are?
-[ ] Does she know of any other familiars or assets at Sidonia's disposal that you haven't encountered yet?
-[ ] Where did Sidonia instruct her to plant Evil Nuts? if there are any that haven't hatched yet, maybe you can dig them up and neutralise them before tomorrow
-[ ] Other (write-in)
[ ] Head to the Pleiades Saints' base and
-[ ] Restate to them everything you went over last night, in case they missed anything or had additional questions
-[ ] Give Wakaba Mirai's Mystic Code one final endurance test
-[ ] Drop Hijiri Kanna off with the Saints
--[ ] Stick around and reiterate your preference for her punishment
--[ ] Leave, and let the Saints decide her punishment on their own
---[Kazumi] What should Hijiri Kanna's punishment be? (write-in)
[ ] Other (write-in)

[ ] Do you want to set additional objectives?
All right, here we are, the last free day. It's not included in the vote proper, but I'd ask that whoever decides to come up with a vote, include some breakfast conversation topics.
Maybe we try not to make Kanna feel too bad about the fact that she's down an arm and who knows when she'll actually be able to get a new one.
[x] Plan Polite And Not So Polite Conversation
-[x] During breakfast, talk about a potenial family outing once Sidonia is dealt with.
--[x] You are going to beat her and all of your family is going to make it out of this okay.
---[x] ...They have too.
-[x] Check in with Sakura to see if she can make some sort of anti-Sidonia seal for Nightingale
-[x] Interrogate Hijiri Kanna again, now that her mind is clear of Grief
--[x] Does she know of any other familiars or assets at Sidonia's disposal that you haven't encountered yet?
--[x] Where did Sidonia instruct her to plant Evil Nuts? if there are any that haven't hatched yet, maybe you can dig them up and neutralise them before tomorrow
-[x] Head to the Pleiades Saints' base and
--[x] Restate to them everything you went over last night, in case they missed anything or had additional questions
--[x] Give Wakaba Mirai's Mystic Code one final endurance test
Tell me about it. She's probably going to need help just eating breakfast this morning, and forget about getting changed to be brought over to the Saints without assistance. At least she doesn't need the second arm to be Mirai's battery, but any more than that and she's SOL until someone gives her a replacement.
That works for me. Note; after tomorrow, I'm going to be on a trip until the tail-end of Sunday, so I'll be mostly out of the way for four days (still got my phone, but making plans on it always sucks ass).
Attn @NMS@PlaguePaladin@Riku_Furude;
Can you guys help me out for a second? I feel like I've forgotten to include something in the list of stuff being voted on, but for the life of me I can't figure it out, and looking at the to-do list Homura gave to herself, it doesn't look like I'm missing anything. Can you guys help me figure out what it might be that I'm thinking of? Because I feel like I'm going crazy not being able to figure this out.

In all seriousness, I'm pretty sure I missed a bunch of stuff when Homura was coming up with her to-do list, but what's currently bothering me is that I feel like I forgot to include something in the list of voteable material but can't think of what it might be, with no relation to either our IC or OOC to-do lists. So I guess it's both. If you quote me something I forgot to include in Homura's list, I can revise the list of voteable material to compensate.

Well, Riku is generally right in that we might want to see if we can excavate Walpy's grief seed, surrounding structures be damned. We still also might want to pass around relevant Noble Phantasms, and we should probably try cleaning the Saints' grief seed stock just to make sure we've got all we need for the battle. We might want to see if we can do anything to re-attach Homura's shield to her in some capacity. This is less stuff we've tried to do before and more ideas, so I'm probably not much help.
For stuff we might've forgotten, I'm pretty sure we still need to find out how to break Nightingale out of her command seals and re-attach her to Niko once we do that.

Okay, thank you, now I remember what it was that was driving me up a wall. I had intended to make [Checking on Lancer's production of luck charms] and [Checking with Sakura to see if she can make some anti-Sidonia seal for Nightingale] their own separate items, but in the list of voteable material that was actually published, the two were put down as a single item, and that's what was causing me to think I'd missed something.
@NMS did not vote for either of these things, by the way. If that's something you feel strongly about, you may want to take matters into your own hands.

The last time we saw Homura's shield, she had buried it in the park in order to keep the Evil Nut we recovered from the Basilisk from hatching inside our house. Instead, it hatched into the Firebird and made a beeline for Madoka's house. The status of the shield itself is up for debate, but considering that it had a jet-sized flaming bird hatch inside of it before forcing its way out... We can try looking for it, but I'll make no guarantees that it's still in one piece.

Caren spent the first ten years of her life in Italy. There is no question that Italian is her first language. She then spent the next five years of her life in France. French is almost certainly her second language, or perhaps her third depending on whether she learned Liturgical Latin before or after she was sent to Cîteaux Abbey in France. She's European, so it's also not too much of a stretch to assume that she was taught English at some point as well.
Even if we ignore the "likely" languages of Liturgical Latin and English, it's still canon to her HA backstory that Caren would know Italian and French as her first and second languages. Japanese is, therefore, anywhere from her third to her fifth language, and yet, by virtue of being voiced by a native Japanese speaker, she's still perfectly fluent in it, and was at least from the age of fifteen, if not earlier. She's actually a goddamn genius. Even if we ignore my earlier musings about Caren's religious education, she's still a goddamn genius. She's wasting her life being a fake nurse at a junior high school.
Imagine what this woman could be accomplishing if she actually put her mind to it.

You could make that argument for anyone from Fate/Stay Night, Fate/Zero and Fate/Hollow Atraxia including the Serial Killers. It's part of the tragedy inherent in Fate's storytelling.

- Shirou never actually tries to get a Magus' education, despite canonically being super close to discovering the First Magic; also, his dreams of being a hero are constantly being broken over the knee in front of him
- Sakura's an Incarnation with an even stronger affinity for Imaginary Elements than Shirou has for Swords
- Shinji was a genuinely charming and competent fellow before he let his envy and rampant self-indulgence taint him
- Rin is one of the few points where this is not the case; see how it's canonically said that she can basically piss out Brand-grade spells
- Medea legitimately could've left or hidden herself and lived a happy life with her husband, but decided to reach way futher than she should've; legend-wise, she was relegated to 'that bitch who causes problems' after Jason
- Ilya could've lived a happy and academically fruitful life with her family, but see Fate/Zero for that, and also her lifespan has been tremendously shortened just so that she can pilot Berserker
- While it's not really tragic (he's an asshole), Atrum Galliasta got punked hard by Medea and is basically the Fate equivalent of Sir Does Not Appear In This Film
- Bazett got the same treatment as Atrum.
- Maybe Souichirou could've found some happiness with Medea, or perhaps just lived the rest of his life in relative comfort, but died doing the same thing he had done all his life.
- Zouken had tried for five Grail Wars straight to get the Third Magic and use it to create a utopia, but had to put so much effort into keeping himself alive that he can't even remember why he wants the Third Magic
- If Kirei had just confessed his nature to his dad once, maybe he wouldn't be quite so fucking crazy
- Kariya was a... relatively good man, who forsook his family lineage, and got blamed for his beloved cousin getting sold into slavery because she wasn't in line to be an heir.
- If Ryuunosuke had seen his own blood once in his life, he would've probably killed himself. There is no good future for the guy.
- I don't have much pity for Kayneth, but he was the biggest rising star in the Clock Tower to exist, and he destroyed his lineage and legacy because he got a bit too greedy.
- Of course, Waver got a... kind of successful career at the Clock Tower, but he never did get to see the world with Alexander.
- I don't pity Tokiomi either, but even the child he did want to be a good parent for had to do without. Maybe that's for the best, since Rin turned out to be a reasonable person.
- Kiritsugu literally never once got to make a significant change to better the world; much as I love that Lupin fic, I really don't agree with the whole 'nah fuck that the world shouldn't be changed' mentality
- Irisviel is such an earnestly good person, but it's a shame that she died even younger than her own fucking daughter
There's more characters like this, but yeah, Dmol's got the right of it.
