Confringentur 2; a Madoka Magica / Fate/Stay Night sequel

Bedeutet das, dass ich meine Stimme auf Deutsch abgeben kann?
(Just kidding)

And I'm sorry, Plague, but Gaelic is one of the languages I have difficulties to comprehend; I mean, Aoife is pronounced Eve, if I remember correctly, and the Ao still throws me for a loop. (How would one pronounce Diarmuid ua Duibhne, by the way? Or Scathach?)

Bedeutet das, dass ich meine Stimme auf Deutsch abgeben kann?
You cannot. The only German I know is: Aber ja, natürlich Hans nass ist, er steht unter einem wasserfall. The votes would not work.

And I'm sorry, Plague, but Gaelic is one of the languages I have difficulties to comprehend;
Okay, strap in, because there's really no one real way to pronounce these names. I have one friend who, unlike me, actually does speak and write Irish. When I discuss Irish mythology with him, he tends to get a bit p***ed at my pronunciation because that's not how they pronounce it in his part of Ireland, which is common with all Gaelic people. But here's the most common ways, for your reading pleasure:
Aoife = E - Fuh
Diarmuid ua Duibhne = Deer - Mid - O' - Dyna (yes, ua means O' like in O' Malley or such)
Scathach = Scot - Hok (or something approximating that)
Cu Chulainn = Coo - Cull - In

Sorry this update is taking longer than usual to get out. I don't really know how I want to approach writing the conversation I know we're going to be having wit hour teammates, and the fact that I'll have to juggle 14 different characters on, frankly, not a whole lot of guidance, isn't exactly an appealing process to think about writing.
I'm doing my best to have something for you guys within the next couple of hours, but if in the mean time @PlaguePaladin @UNKNOWN01 @k4lepo @Swedish15 @WanderingTwix @alphacassiopeiae or maybe even @Jefardi @UR-025 @Yuri Vampire or @BoundaryPhantasm want to shout out a bit of structure to our 14-man conversation, the help would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you.

Hmm... any combat stuff is way out of my league. I've also not been able to follow along on a daily basis so I'm a bit behind on reading. I'll catch up eventually but I'm beginning to think that the daily update format isn't something I'll be able to partake in; I have too many mandatory tasks in a given day and don't want reading to be one of them. Sorry!

Could talk about what to do about Lancer and Sigurd in the future, because we don't want to waste command seals if we can avoid it, even if Oriko has a bunch of them. Discuss how to defend themselves against the Saints in the future, since getting surrounded without noticing doesn't bode well for that regard (which will lead to discussing about them avoiding Oriko's and Caster's (?(brackets inside brackets lol)) foresight).

I mean, you don't have to write everyone. Not everyone has to or probably would chime in with their own thoughts unless asked.

Maybe have a Master and Servant from each group of the battle speak initially, with others chiming in if they want to add any more details?

Day 2 Chapter 13
[X] Plan: Go Home and Freak Out a Little

"That was miserable."

Eight people sit around the table at the Tomoe apartment, tea and snacks between them. Your servants aren't all in attendance, or else there wouldn't be enough room for everyone. Lancer is - you hope - safely returned to the Mikuni mansion, under control after her bout of battle-mania upon seeing the enemy Saber, with Berserker on watch to make sure nothing happens to her. Assassin is around, but she's wandered off to another part of the apartment so she and her master don't have to be near one another. You hope their initial animosity won't negatively impact Assassin's ability to work with the team as a whole. Saber is also around, you're sure he wouldn't have abandoned Hitomi like that, but you haven't seen him since returning to the Tomoe apartment. Archer, Rider, and Caster are the only servants who are immediately visible.

"Not you," you say to the four of you who were part of the rooftop battle against the enemy Archer and her master. "Out of all of us, you actually managed to get the better of your opponents. But the rest of us all had pretty miserable showings." Or no showing at all, as evidenced by Hitomi and Nurse Ortensia's complete lack of participation outside of being there for their servants.

Kirika crosses her arms, motioning to Hijiri Kanna with her head as she says "Not my fault the shrimp here didn't tell us about the goddamn teddy bear army that crazy sword bitch was packing. Seriously, they kept coming no matter how many times I'd cut'em down!"

"Dearest, don't take the Lord's name in vain." Oriko corrects Kirika's choice of words. "That said, I do agree that perhaps Hijiri-san could have done a better job informing us of our opponents' capabilities."

"I did the best I could," Hijiri Kanna replied. "I wasn't created to serve a combat function. It's lucky I know enough about their abilities as I do."

"Well, what else can you tell us?" Tomoe-san asks. "That way we won't be caught off-guard like this in the future."

"Well, Wakaba Mirai apparently has an army of teddy bear familiars. I didn't know that, but apparently that's a thing she has." Kirika doesn't appear to appreciate Hijiri Kanna's snark. "As for the others, it's fairly spotty what I do and don't know about them, considering I've never had a front-row seat to any of their abilities in combat." You don't miss the subtle change in tone as Hijiri Kanna moves from saying abilities to in combat. "The only other Saints whose ability I know for sure is Misaki Umika. She-" There it is again. "-can alter other people's memories. I don't think I need to say this, but watch out if you're fighting her."

You've had experience fighting opponents who can alter your memories. The first Assassin servant you met was a master-less serial killer with the ability to erase the memories of anyone who encountered her; among other, equally annoying abilities. Fighting her was an uphill battle, and you are not looking forward to fighting Misaki Umika.

"What about their crazy regeneration?" Kyouko asked. "'Cause last night, when I broke that cat-eared bitch's ribs, they stayed broke, but then I fought that sword bitch and I couldn't make a single thing stick, and Mami said she saw the cat-eared bitch's arm grow back after being shot off. So what gives?"

"Kanna Niko can manipulate objects in just about any way she chooses. On top of that, her servant Assassin is a medical professional," Hijiri Kanna reminds Kyouko. "It's not out of the realm of possibility for the two of them to have come up with something after seeing the kind of damage your side is capable of last night."

"Great," Kyouko grouses. "So not only do we gotta worry about them being able ta kick our asses, but we also gotta worry about them not dying even if we kill'em? How the fuck're we supposed ta beat'em now?"

Hijiri Kanna shrugs. "I can't give you the answer to that question." You don't miss the subtle twitching of Hijiri Kanna's fingers, the brief curling into an almost-fist as she says "I can hope you succeed, but I can't give you the answer. I'm willing to help, if I can, but you'll have to figure out how to beat them on your own."

"Well, what do we know?" you ask, laying your cards out on the table. "We know the identity of their Saber and Archer servants; Sigurd and Atalanta, respectively. I know what their Saber is capable of, and Rider should be able to telll us what their Archer is capable of, since he knows her." You turn to Kyouko and Kirika, and say to them "You witnessed Rider and Assassin fighting with the enemy Rider. What were they like?"

"A tall shirtless dude in a cape," Kyouko replies. "Pretty tan, might'a been African, maybe?"

"Maybe North African?" Kirika asks. "I don't think he was dark enough to be, like, African African, but maybe he was some famous dude from, I dunno, Egypt? I mean, he had that gold and blue staff-thingy you always see dead Egyptian dudes holding, didn't he?"

"A crook," Rider corrects Kirika. "That's what it's called, a crook. That definitely narrows him down to being Egyptian. Problem is, he could be any number of famous figures from Egypt, and without seeing a Noble Phantasm I don't have the slightest idea who he could have been." Rider turns his head off towards the side, and calls out "What do you think, Assassin? Do you have any thoughts about our mystery Rider's identity?"

"He'd have to be someone pretty famous, to warrant being that arrogant," Assassin replies. "My guess? Ramesses II. He's got the name recognition to make it as a powerful heroic spirit from Egypt; certainly enough of it for it to have gone to his arrogant little head."

"What does that mean for us?"

Assassin shrugs, and the movement of her shoulders ruffle her mane of feathers, making her appear like a preening peacock. A sudden urge to visit the zoo with Madoka strikes you as you imagine Assassin as an exhibit. "Who knows? Without the knowledge given to me by the Grail I wouldn't even know what an 'Egypt' was. Maybe Golden Boy over there can tell us something?"

"If we assume that our mystery Rider is indeed Ramesses II, then the enemy has drawn a good card," Caster says. He looks at Assassin, while as if to say "Don't look down on me," she tries to burn a hole through his head with lasers that fail to spring from her eyes. "I would imagine a name as powerful as his would have no shortage of Noble Phantasms at his disposal, and if he is of the Rider class then he has the advantage over myself, much as it pains me to say, and my attempts to use my Sight on him have fallen short. I can only advise that we proceed with caution when dealing with the enemy's Rider in the future."

"What about the enemy Archer," you say to Rider. "What can you tell us about her?"

"She's fast," are the first words out of Rider's mouth. He turns to you, asking "You said she ran up the side of a building to avoid Archer's attack, right? That doesn't surprise me. Atalanta was known for her speed back in the day. Uh, she's not that sturdy, though, so I'm not sure how she managed to survive taking a hit from Caster if it was strong enough to knock her through a building. Sheer dumb luck, maybe? She's got a better Luck stat than a lot of other servants do, so..."

"Excuse me," Hitomi interrupts Rider, though she looks ashamed of herself for having done so. "But this isn't the first time I've heard of servants having stats. What do you mean by that?"

"You know how you might be good at something that someone else is bad at?" Archer asks. Hitomi nods, and Archer continues, saying "Well, it's kind of like that, only more codified. Try looking at each of us servants using your master's vision, and that'll give you a pretty good idea of things." After a few unsuccessful attempts, you hear a "Oh!" escape Hitomi's mouth, and Archer says "You get it now?"

"Yes, I believe I do. Thank you, Archer." Hitomi looks around the room. You can only imagine what her thoughts are upon seeing Archer, Rider, Caster, and Assassin revealed to her master's vision. "That's... Quite something. So, I can use this on any servant, and I'll instantly get a little visual about them like this? That must come in handy." Hitomi coughs into her hand, before sheepishly saying to Rider "I'm terribly sorry for interrupting you, Rider. Please, continue."

"Right; where was I? Ah! Aside from her speed, Atalanta's got two Noble Phantasms you need to watch out for. You've already seen Phoebus Catastrophe; that's the big bombardment she used to destroy the church, but she's also got, uh..." Rider swallows the lump in his throat. "I'd really like to not see her use her other Noble Phantasm, but I guess you guys deserve to know anyway. Agrius Metamorphosis... By allowing her body and mind to be taken over by a curse inhabiting the pelt of the Calydonian Boar, Agrius Metamorphosis allows her to turn into a Berserker-like state and gives her a massive boost to her physical parameters. It also causes her body to warp into something resembling the Boar. It's... Just all-around not a good look for a girl like her."

"Hold on-" Saber appears beside his master, wearing a look of concern on his face. "You're saying the enemy Archer has a Noble Phantasm that turns her into a boar?"

"I mean, not exactly, but... Yeah, kinda, if you're willing to get a little loose with your definition. Why? That gonna be a problem?"

"It might," Saber says. "In life, I was cursed to die by a boar, and I don't know if that curse will continue over to this life. On top of that, I'm naturally at a disadvantage against her."

"So we know not to send Saber into battle against the enemy Archer in the future," you say. "That's good to know." Now if only it were that easy to figure out who you could and couldn't send to fight against the rest of the enemy roster. Having Lancer fight the enemy Saber doesn't seem like a very healthy proposition for her, but now that she's seen Sigurd you don't know if she'll give you any choice in the matter.

Not really sure about the vote options on this one. You guys can take them, or you can do whatever the heck you want, I don't really care. I was completely lost on how to proceed after that meeting, and you guys might want to talk about or have issues with things I hadn't considered.

Oh no, it's something that I have no clue what to do with

Like fr pls I can't just be the only one voting all the time I have no actual clue how to go about this help

Don't know if it'll help with the vote but I feel like a bit of recon to Asunaro might be in order in the future. I know it's only the 2nd day but the Saints can't keep getting the initiative on us. My natural pick for who goes falls to Archer since he's got Independent Action and been to Asunaro before.

[X] Plan: Let's attempt to reorganize
-[X] Is there anything else you need to discuss?
--[X] The best candidates to host Hijiri-san would be Oriko-san, Tomoe-san and Ortensia-san, maybe you could ask them...?
--[X] You lack ideas (and options) at this moment, for now, the best thing would be that they keep their Servants as close as they can... Well, maybe not Ortensia-san and Assassin, but it should be (mostly) fine with Hitomi-san and Saber.
--[X] You... also lack ideas about this, maybe just not spending as much time with them will suffice until you have better ideas?

-[X] In the future, what are your thoughts about how to approach combat between masters?
--[X] You think that your group should be fine (excluding Hitomi-san and Ortensia-san), at worst, you should be able to hold until your Servants can give you backup
--[X] About Hitomi-san... She is indeed the weakest link in your group, you think that maybe one of the others would should stay with her and Ortensia-san during battle.
--[X] Talking about Ortensia-san, she at least seems to be able to survive a few seconds without help, still, the same goes for her; she stays with Hitomi-san in the sidelines.

-[X] In the future, what are your thoughts about how to approach combat between servants?
--[X] Archer of Blue: Of the ones you know, this is the least dangerous. Maybe your Archer or Rider could defeat her?
--[X] Rider of Blue: You don't know much about him yet, but you don't like what you know. your Caster should focus on him, with as much backup as you can muster.
--[X] Saber of Blue: This is bad, very bad. The best strategy that you can come up with from now is to let Berserker and Lancer (you doubt that you can stop her from fighting him) keep him busy at melee and, if he is available, allow Caster to strike him if he sees an opening.
--[X] Assassin of Blue: You don't know who Assassin is. You know that Assassin can heal. Can Assassin heal Servants too? it would be good to take out Assassin early if they can. You would like if this one is less troublesome than the last one.
--[X] You are actually pretty worried about the rest of the Servants of Blue, you hope that they are less dangerous than the others.

-[X] Some training sessions would help, it would be a good idea to have our new Servants to be coordinated in battle with the rest.
-[X] Maybe it would be a good idea to do some recon in Asunaro, Archer could be able to do so.

Hey, look at this, I decided to make a Plan!

Now someone go and make something decent out of this mess of a plan, please.

EDIT: I made this a little more readable and fixed some typos.

[ ] Is there anything else you need to discuss?
-[ ] Where should Hijiri Kanna stay from now on?
--[] If possible, with Oriko-san, or, barring that, Tomoe-san. Keep her away from Caren; she's a Church Executioner, and I for one don't trust her yet
-[ ] What can you do to protect your most vulnerable masters?
--[] Keep their Servants nearby in spirit form. Maybe invite Hitomi for an extended study session?
-[ ] What should you do if the Saints attack your muggle friends?
--[] Keep all your muggle friends in the loop. Maybe give them bodyguards?
--[] Where possible: Get them out of town. Maybe Mom's got a sales conference. Maybe Madoka can take a vacation.
[ ] In the future, what are your thoughts about how to approach combat between masters?
-[] Unknown01
[ ] In the future, what are your thoughts about how to approach combat between servants?
-[] Primary target: Archer of Blue. We know her, she can counter our Saber hard
-[] Saber of Blue: Honor is a weakness, but sadly one we have as well.
-[] Rider: No clue
-[] WE NEED DATA, DAMN IT!
-[] Where is the Ruler of this Grail War?

-[ ] Are you worried about the enemy servants whose identities you still don't know?
--[] YES! Known unknowns are worse that Known knowns. By far. Sigurd, we can research and counter. Rameses 2 - eh, maybe attack his teeth? (Thanks, Wikipedia!) But the other four? We know almost nothing, and that could mean they exploit our weaknesses purely by existing! What if, say, Lancer of Blue is Enkidu? What if Caster of Blue is Guinevere? Or Merlin?

[ ] Other (write-in)
-[] Try to project strong leadership and keep morale up. Try to listen to the ideas of your colleagues, Spirits and Magical Girls and Mages alike. Normally, the Mage is the weak point in any Grail War; this might not be so true with Mahou Shoujo. Do we have allies who might notice something strange? Also, does anybody know the plans of the damned demon cat?

Preliminary; I like Unknown's plan to about 80%, but this is just a toss of the hat in the ring. Will think about it more after work.

--[] Keep their Servants nearby in spirit form. Maybe invite Hitomi for an extended study session?
This isn't a bad idea, but it does raise some important questions. What are her parents going to say when we ask if she can stay over every night for, oh, I don't know, the next month or so? "We're really studying hard, Shizuki-san, honest!" Her parents know she has a boyfriend; what's to stop them from assuming the worst, that we're just covering for her while she and he go and do the things teenagers normally do when their parents aren't looking? And speaking of Hitomi's boyfriend, what are we supposed to do if he decides he wants to spend time with her? Do we sit around all creepy-like and stalk them? Or do we slip over to Madoka's place for awhile and leave them alone and undefended? If anything happens to Hitomi in this situation, it's on us.
--[] Keep all your muggle friends in the loop. Maybe give them bodyguards?
--[] Where possible: Get them out of town. Maybe Mom's got a sales conference. Maybe Madoka can take a vacation.
What bodyguards? We've got all the servants we could ask for, and all of them have masters. The best we can do is ask Archer, Rider, and Saber to watch over the girls on the way to and from school, and add Assassin to the mix for the hours they're in school; because otherwise we're asking other servants to break away from their own masters to guard other people. Also, obviously, Madoka has to go to school. What sort of position is she in where she can take off on an extended vacation? What sort of position are we in where we're okay with sending our moral support away right when we'll need her the most?
Do we have allies who might notice something strange? Also, does anybody know the plans of the damned demon cat?
What does "something strange" mean in this context? Our only allies that aren't currently with us are Rin and Bazett, and both of them know just how strange things get in Mitakihara. They would notice if we're fighting a rival faction of girls, but that's about the extent of what they'd notice in terms of "strange". Also, Kyubey is known to be in Asunaro. We don't know his plans, but we do know where he's holed up.
-[] Where is the Ruler of this Grail War?
They took a wrong turn at Albuquerque. They're going to be awhile, if they can even make it at all, with traffic being what it is.

[X] Is there anything else you need to discuss?
-[X] Where should Hijiri Kanna stay from now on?
--[X] If possible, with Oriko-san, or, barring that, Tomoe-san. Caren is probably not ready to take in an impressionable child.
-[X] What can you do to protect your most vulnerable masters?
--[X] Keep their Servants nearby in spirit form. We should also invite them for rune studies and so on so that they can get some combat ability in. Hitomi might have to pull some self-study due to the watchful eyes of her parents, so she might have to learn more runes then she can master. If anyone has a printer, maybe we should teach Lancer how to write a word document so that she can give Hitomi some study material.
-[X] What should you do if the Saints attack your muggle friends?
--[X] Keep all your muggle friends in the loop. Have Archer perform routine check-ins from now on.
[X] In the future, what are your thoughts about how to approach combat between masters?
-[X] Until Hitomi and Caren are ready to defend themselves against the other masters, keep Saber with them. Saber has good endurance, and out of all of them has the best skills for defensive duty.
[X] In the future, what are your thoughts about how to approach combat between servants?
-[X] Archer of Blue: As far as you know, the weakest enemy Servant here. Since Saber of Blue already has a ton going his way, Gilgamesh should be able to take care of her alone.
-[X] Saber of Blue: You'll have to find some way to either rein in Brynhildr, or support her. Should keeping her back not be viable, send in Lancelot and EMIYA, Lancelot to keep up the pressure and do consistent damage, and EMIYA to make big attacks.
-[X] Rider: Aife and Achilles. Diarmuid would be here, but he's too preoccupied defending the defenseless masters.

I tried to touch up on the plans of others. On the Servant combat section: My thoughts for Archer is that Gilgamesh has a consistently high volume of fire and attack power, so unless she decides to bust out Agrius Metamorphosis and go berserk, Gilgamesh will fold her like an omelette. Lancelot and EMIYA would be like a Fighter and a Rogue attacking an enemy while a Berserker goes crazy, if we're going on D&D terms. Lancelot keeps the pressure up and does consistent damage while EMIYA goes in for the big backstab plays and Brynhildr draws some attention. Aife has the class advantage over Ramesses but not the toughness to keep up, so Achilles tanks for her. This might not be the best plan, so I'm open to suggestions.

I have also recently learned that autocorrect does not know how to spell omelette.

Well... I guess I should explain my plan a little.

-[X] Is there anything else you need to discuss?
--[X] The best candidates to host Hijiri-san would be Oriko-san, Tomoe-san and Ortensia-san, maybe you could ask them...?
I agree that Akemi doesn't trust Caren, so I'll be open to any other option, but this is more if the others can't and we have no other choice.
I made these two points following one single point: that our muggle friends have a life and living parents (living, responsible parents in anime... shocking, right?), which woul surely get worried if their son/daugther started acting strange from one day to the other with seemingly no reason.

The idea of letting the parents in is a sure-way for them to lock us out of their childrens lives (SVS has been making sure to keep this Quest fairly grounded in reality, with some acceptable breaks).

Nobody seems to have too many oposition to my other ideas so...

PD: Forget it, @PlaguePaladin has already posted his plan, vote for that not mine!

PDD:
[X] In the future, what are your thoughts about how to approach combat between servants?
-[X] Archer of Blue: As far as you know, the weakest enemy Servant here. Since Saber of Blue already has a ton going his way, Gilgamesh should be able to take care of her alone.

I agree with most of this Plan, but I'll disagree here:

1- I would go against wasting Caster in Atalanta; while he would probably make a quick work out of her, I would prefer to have him in stand-by for someone like Saber or, if necessary, Rider.
2 - I disagree about having EMIYA fighting Sigurd. I love the guy and I don't doubt his skills, but he was barely able to survive against Cu in UBW, and Sigurd is even more powerful than Cu in a direct combat, I would put Caster here.

I agree with the rest, though.

...Now that we are talking about Cu. Hey, @SVS-san! would it be possible for us to borrow Cu from Bazett? He is the one with the spear that insta-kills anyone without a good Luck stat, thing that Sigurd doesn't have.

In theory, there's nothing stopping you from asking Bazett if she'd be willing to lend us her man servant. The problem comes when you remember that we have Aífe on our team.

*Shrugs*
I would like to have Assassin in good terms with us, but the 'No Cu because Assassin' thing kinda went over the board the moment Mr. 'I have A's in everything minus Luck and also an EotM-like Skill' appeared.

It would be a good idea to keep the possibility in mind, though.

I'm just saying. He humiliated her in battle, raped her and forced her to bear his child as a condition of sparing her life, abandoned her to raise the child on her own (you know, at a time when childbirth could literally kill a person), and then killed said child when she sent him out into the world to find his father. That's ignoring any pre-existing baggage she might have with him being the favoured student of her sister and hated rival. Pretty good chance of her going "You know what? Screw you guys, Imma kill this bastard instead" the moment she sees or hears about Cu being alive and in Mitakihara.

I'm just saying.

I know, I actually read Cu's mythology (quite a good read, I recommend it!), but I just wanted to make the point clear; meeting Sigurd and Ozy in the same war, in the opposite side, is pushing my Godzilla Threshold quite a bit, to the point where I'm considering saying 'screw Assassin, Cu is more valuable' if it comes to that point.

...One thing, can EMIYA copy Cu's technique? His 'always strike the heart' one, I mean. It would be good and take my biggest 'but' out of Plague's Plan!

1- I would go against wasting Caster in Atalanta; while he would probably make a quick work out of her, I would prefer to have him in stand-by for someone like Saber or, if necessary, Rider.
Fair's fair, but we've ran out of space for anyone else, and he's at a disadvantage against Rider, both in class and in the fact that Rider has the same degree of attack output. I think. If it weren't for that, he'd switch places with Achilles, who could close the gap between him and Atalanta easy.

2 - I disagree about having EMIYA fighting Sigurd. I love the guy and I don't doubt his skills, but he was barely able to survive against Cu in UBW, and Sigurd is even more powerful than Cu in a direct combat, I would put Caster here.
Well, remember my D&D analogy; EMIYA has the class advantage and the skills, and Lancelot has the tankiness and being a Berserker means that he takes a lot of damage but slams everyone. EMIYA doesn't have to be directly in front of Sigurd's sword; he'll take the big damage plays while Lancelot and Bryn draw fire.

While we're at it; could we gift Saber Gae Buidhe and Gae Dearg the same way we gave Serenity Le Rêve Ensoleillé in the last thread? Irish martial arts aren't very conducive to dual-wielding swords like Japanese martial arts are, since they're more about using a spear and an offhand weapon. If so, could Hitomi support the extra mana costs that would come from it?

can EMIYA copy Cu's technique? His 'always strike the heart' one, I mean.
That's a quality of Gae Bolg. He can copy Gae Bolg, so the answer is technically yes, though at a lower quality due to the degradation of quality in his copies.

to the point where I'm considering saying 'screw Assassin, Cu is more valuable' if it comes to that point.
I was trying to say that, if we called in Cu, he might end up coming down with a fatal case of Death. I hear he's quite weak to dying, wouldn't want to encourage him.
I won't knock the idea, but Hitomi is already causing Saber to suffer a rank-down in his physical parameters because of her inability to keep him properly supported. Do you think she could support what you're proposing?

Good points, and I almost forgot about the possibility of giving Diarmuid his spears!

(I would recommend including that into your plan.)

Anyways, I asked because, while I believe that Archer can copy it in canon, SVS may not allow it; but if he can then, as long as his technique of 'Always Strikes the Heart' degrades just to 'Has a good chance of striking the Heart', then I think that we have a fair chance of this working.

EDIT:

You cannot die to someone who has already been killed!... *Remembers Kirei's dead in UBW* Oh.

I don't think that it would be much of a problem, Diarmuid's spears I would say are fairly cheap in cost of mana due to the effect being passive, but yeah, you may be right.

I'm more or so saying this so that we can get Gae Buidhe to nullify the enemy's healing BS. If it's just Gae Buidhe then it should be fine; but I'd keep that for when Hitomi's finally got the ability to defend herself and she can finally take Saber on the offensive. We've really got to find a way to get around Hitomi's lack of mana. Until then, I think we should hold back on gifting her the twin spears, since Moralltach and Beagalltach are ultimately better on the defense and thus better suited to Diarmuid's current role.

...Welp, so this is a discussion about plans, huh?

I never expected to do something like this, considering I'm fairly bad at planning.

Anyways, so I think I will change my vote now.

Well, I don't think we have many options, unles we want to go with the Shirou way in UBW or the Rin/Rani way in EXTRA, but I doubt that anyone is up to it (and they are minors, minus Caren, so I don't want this quest being shot down, much less for that of all reasons)
