Brockton's Celestial Forge (Worm/Jumpchain)

"So Joe, what did you get Aisha for her birthday?"

"Oh, another planet"

"...WHAT DO YOU MEAN ANOTHER???"

Also, by the gods people, forcing him to socialise like a sane, healthy individual, have you no decency left?

The Worm series Space Whales are utterly ridiculous and require literally celestial-scale engineering projects to work around. People might think Aperion and the rest of the Celestial Forge are utterly ridiculous now, but I get the feeling that they're going to be a lot more thankful once they realize the sheer scale of what they're up against.

Also fun, pocket dimensions like these might be a good place to set up Passengers that Joe can negotiate with away from the wider network, which would be a great way to cut off a lot of the more annoying problems you might run into post-Scion.

Would this be a way to depower parahumans completely.

If by 'depower' you mean 'have them die horribly either from traumatic brain damage or powers becoming uncontrollable' then yes.

Taylor survived her .22 caliber lobotomy only because of Contessa bullshit.

If you mean Joe rewinds them to before they Triggered and disconnects them then... I guess that could work.

Rule 3: Be Civil
So here is my chap 105 review. There are a lot of camps on this story and I'm in the where the hell is the plot camp. So my review for chapter 105 is blah blah blah joe does some shit with his powers. No plot is advanced. Joe gets stronger. Joe has some dialogue with some members of his team. Yeah guys chap 105! Hey if you want a short hand chap sumation without all the blah blah. Some time s the chaps are good and il be here to tell you all that

...Ah. I see now where the plan for evacuating Brockton to the Workshop in the face of Leviathan got repurposed. Instead, Aisha will evacuate the planet in the face of Scion.

I was thinking more along the lines of, they're technically beyond the reaches of their power but on earth at the same time. So the shard would still be in their brains but none of the power expressions would reach them.

Survey happily informed me that ration was not correct, but that the precise proportion of timing relevant abilities would be difficult to gauge without a wider examination of both situational context and my own personal thoughts at the time the specific power arrived.

Bolded, but ration -> ratio

Stop reading. Nobody's forcing you to.

Feels weird that a few ~solar system sized pocket dimensions are hard for him at this point, I feel like there's a few individual users of the powers he had that could do it themselves, much less joe.
Anyways,
See y'all in March when the nine get here!

.... I await Aisha/ Lethe being observed Sneezing and Suddenly something Disappeared.

They sucked it to her planet but to people, the world Forgot it.

So the Ultra-Divine-Magical-Mystical-Superpower Healing Nanomachine Colony going to Taylor is only restricted to 'Healing'. Considering how giving Taylor stuff previously went, I'm now considering what kind of hilarity can come of this well-intentioned, 'restricted' gift.

Perhaps the healing effect propagates over to Queen Administrator? Or what Taylor can come up with 'just' with personal Immortality?

The idea that I'm subscribed to is that Joe still not patched out that quirk where magical effect consider Taylor and her swarm as the same entity, so nanites can heal Taylor's insects and replenish their venom instantly. To quote one of the comments that had the same idea: "Brown recluse with infinite venom - that what nightmares are made from".

"Mostly the same kind of thing they used to hide from me, only now they can transform stuff and make magical plants. I'm pretty sure they made a mile tall tree somewhere and a few floating islands. Probably some 'lost' civilizations, 'ancient' ruins, and sunken continents. Oh, and there's at least one lost underworld thing with dinosaurs and stuff."
Apeiron and Lethe has become ancients that leave heritages for lucky or 'lucky' people to find.
"As long as you have your armor, or just the amulet, a power's not going to affect you unless it can reach you from outside lunar orbit and punch through an entire planet on the way." I explained. "This is literally as safe as we can make things."
Wow. That's a really smart solution to most parahuman power problems.
"Maybe." I said. "But it won't be easy. We'll have to shift focus, delay some objectives in favor of dealing with this, and to even approach that, we'd need to take what we did here and basically make a Superweapon version of it."
...
Her eagerness was mirrored by the rest of the team. A true challenge, something that actually pushed the limits of even my abilities. Something that required subverting a significant portion of the network behind parahuman abilities and reversing decades of various degrees of mental influence on every parahuman on the planet, all done in at most a little over twenty-four hours.
I'm having mixed feelings. It might just be that I misunderstood something about this. So Joe won't make his other commitments to be pushed up like Bakuda's deadman switch etc? It's just that he will focus on Jack now and then with him gone within 24h he can switch to Bakuda's work with his knowledge he has gained from Jack's power to apply to her work.

I was going to have to leave the Workshop and interact socially with people my own age.
The horror! You could really feel Joe's dread for this.

I really enjoyed how Joe could finally break the news to Aisha and she got appropriately horrified.

This way will make Cauldron not be able to dismiss Jack Slash's influence on them. They might actually be able to dismiss it even here when I think about it. Do passanger space have two separate realms for Eden and Zion? If they have then Cauldron might not be convinced.

I think a great part of the most recent chapter (to expand on a previous comment) is that it's continuing a good example of the strength of this story, no matter how ridiculous Joe gets, ultimately he's still human with human wants and desires. That grounding really helps keep perspective without getting lost in the power fantasy.

I also very much like how this is kinda like a situation/story style narrative. With the situation being the in universe justifications for things, exploring the context and how things would logically progress, and the story being the themes and characters developing at the events unfold, changed by the situation. It fits with the creation motif that the forge seems to roll with quite well.

me that ratio was not?
Multiple designs of nanites were hybridized together, enhancing their power and versatility. Lathe of Heaven drew forth additional properties of the underlying materials. Reinforcement powers ensured that no deterioration of faults would impair the nanites while Heretical Adaptation allowed them to adapt and improve.

"I don't know. Some big blood ritual thing where osmic forces are attuned to me or something equally over the top." She said. I grinned as I handed her the amulet. She took it carefully and examined the new addition running her thumb over the large gemstone.

"There is evidence of capes making bad decisions when they go up against the Nine." I explained. "Most people assumed it was nerves or terror reactions, that they got scared and made mistakes, but the mistakes were always in the Nine's favor. It's clear there's some level of influence. We've managed to clear it from you, but we don't know how extensive it was it could accomplish."
something in the last bit seems off but I'm not sure what the correction should be

I was a clean and direct approach.
It was?
"Of course." She said, stretching her arms behind her. "Well, since this is all mine, I'm taking the opportunity to kick everyone out." She grinned at me. "After all, you can be late for your date, can you?"
can't be late
