@Etranger , I just wanted to say that I really appreciate you choosing to go for long, leisurely discussion times and vote moratoriums.
Or are we planning to somehow rally the masses of the Dominion to rise up against Mengsk and shoot our way into Augustgrad by the brute force of a million rebel hearts?
...
Being centered on Korhal favors the former approach, because it means we're in a better position to hit Mengsk really hard with everything we've got, in the very first minute of our plan when he's totally not expecting it.
Being split-centered favors the latter approach, because to organize a rebellion we'll need secondary centers of power that cause the people of all the other Dominion worlds to rally under us.
...
The trouble is, the latter approach seems much less likely to succeed than the former, especially if you count "Mengsk overthrown in bloody civil war, which causes so much damage that the Dominion is conquered or eaten by outside enemies" as a failure.
Personally, I'm planning around setting ourselves up for a surgical strike to install Valerian, simply because I expect it to be the easiest path to success.
Well, what it comes down to is, are we planning to take Mengsk down by building opposition within the Dominion government and blindsiding him with a coup? How are we going to do it? Mengsk wants us and everything we have on Korhal because he owns it and can more closely monitor everything. That is why we would take a Suspicion hit. Not moving everything opens up more projects on Vardona. Who is to say it will not involve projects that will help in our efforts to Subvert the Plan?

That assumes Mengsk is a fully rational actor. He's not. Suspicion is a measure of how much power he thinks we have outside his control, and how much he thinks we want his job.It should be easier to Subvert the Plan on Vardona, or we would not be gaining Suspicion over it.
