We can also develop rocket artillery or point defences for the towns as the description for fortress towns does say that we need to ether heavily invest in more shells or diversify the weapons load out of the fortress towns.
I mean that still has a logistics requirement and part of the problem is we are rebuilding every part of the supply chain after NOD and Tiberium wrecked a lot of it.

I was just pointing out that we have more options then shell shells and more shells, we could also upgrade our tube artillery as well now that I'm thinking about it.

Ablative armor is a bad solution to drag on an aircraft, because the material burns away and creates a rough, un-aerodynamic surface.

You use ablatives on heat shields during atmospheric re-entry, sure, but that's because you don't intend to sustain speed, so aerodynamics don't matter. For a genuinely hypersonic or near-hypersonic aircraft you can't ignore aerodynamics, so you don't even want an ablative hull... Plus, an aircraft whose skin is covered in ablative materials just so it can go fast is an aircraft that has to be extensively serviced after every mission, regardless of whether or not it takes any enemy fire. That's very bad for a combat aircraft.
I meant, we'll need next gen ablatives to put on it to because current versions would add too much drag. And I expect with CNT's as the core of our ablative material- it takes a substantial amount of heat to make it vaporize. I agree the aircraft shouldn't need ablatives to go fast, and I understand how that can sound- but I'm thinking of ablatives from a strictly defensive standpoint, and I don't think the current tiles are good enough. My thoughts were maybe we can create some kind of enamel in the next generation to disperse and ablate under laser fire without drag inducing tiles.
Not rely very much on missiles?

We don't have to do everything, after all.
I figured this was the most likely outcome, and it's an interesting further divergence in Nod and GDI's weaponry.
then anything else.
It's NOT simply a matter of us making political concessions to idiots to shut them up, it's a matter of us needing time to build up our Nod mitigation to a level that lets us continue to mitigate tiberium.
TBH, I think this attitude is still underselling the threat Nod poses. Yeah, they're an obstacle in the war against Tiberium. Yes Tiberium stands good odds of destroying the world as we know it. But Nod has literally nuked population and production centers to the point of rendering most of Australia and Central Europe to be uninhabitable. They're not just a terrorist obstacle, they're not just a hostile foreign power. This is to say nothing of the deliberate baiting of an alien power determined to exterminate humanity to Earth in the first place. They are a a threat that has razed and salted significant portions of the entire planet on the whims of one man with uncertain goals. It's easy to think of Nod as a mere obstacle when it's strength wanes and it's reach ebbs, but that doesn't make it any less of a mistake. Nod can end the world. Nod has tried to end the world. Several times. The Hawks weren't missing the point, they were just fixated on the other threat than directly Tiberium- and in all fairness, the other threat nearly inadvertently wiped out humanity in the last few years. Even Tiberium will take decades more.

I don't know if I'm correct, but I have a feeling NOD might try to do something during the elections, and I would like for us to invest a bit more in the military, even if it won't help much so soon after we start investing.

We can't defend an expansion lf YZ Fortress Towns without another phase of Shells, we've been told it'll irritate NOD into retaliating.
Of course. But that just means the next phase of the Shell plants should be done before trying to expand housing in YZ. Because in my opinion Arcologies in YZ would be an even more vulnerable target that requires more military assets to defend, which would be unlike the Fortress towns that comes with pre-built defenses to start with.

In short, I'm not confident on putting a big and fragile population center in the YZ for the Nod to target. At least the Fortress towns were purpose built for that sort of concern, and it's not as if the YZ people desperately need better housing at the immediate moment like they did years ago.

Crack idea, why not allow them to elect members to parliament? Voting is at least less violent than shooting.

Can anyone at least edit their plans to include myomers? Since it'll help in the long run for Steel Talons, and also it's very useful for our general populace as a whole

I like them both. Would prefer 3dice on Yellow Zone Arcologies but oh well.
