So the quest is finally ending. About time.

TBH I'm just happy to see Earth saved. Everything else is secondary.

I really like the Tech Exchange, of course. But voting for Subordination and Truth and Reconciliation as a way to try and get Nod and GDI to finally become one Humanity.

Blow up the world, conquer the world, turn everyone into weird aliens, have us subjugated by other aliens… because he has repeatedly tried to do these things and never shown any attempts or intentions to do anything else.
At the very least this ends with Kane in a position of power and us saying "why did we let him do that".

I am excluding my OOC knowledge of Kane's real origin and history and meta knowledge-of-the-future of the TCN

I see no reason to prioritize Kane-tech over stable long term peace. If Kane tech was that great, GDI wouldn't be 3 for 3 on tiberium wars.

I may be looking at this wrong but we don't have to bring NOD under our control fully, even as an independent faction they would be helpful in the upcoming fight against Scrin what we need is to equalize our tech with the chittering bastards.

I believe without a doubt that this should be one of the three. We worked too hard just to throw out access to Tiberium at the end of this quest.

[ ] Subordination of the Brotherhood of Nod

I feel that for the next quest this would help stabilize humanity. This is the option that unites them into one faction potentially. Which absolutely could be worth it. Especially when you consider how it worked for us before in this quest.

[ ] Construction Share Ratio

If the previous option is taken then this doesn't really need to be. NOD folded into GDI cuts down heavily on the shenanigans that they can pull off. Will that mean that NOD end up with people in high office because of said shenanigans and other such positions? Yeah probably. But it is something I and the rest of the thread can likely live with.

[ ] Technology Exchange

Man do I want this. Always will be into building up and this basically gives access to a new tech field. Whatever his races tech field is. Not just what the scrin had on their tacitus.

[ ] Truth and Reconciliation
Rather then uniting Humanity under GDI this calms the tensions. So it kind of sort of is something that can be interchangeable with the second option or work together with it.

So the way I see it. There are two general plans that look to be Good Enough to follow through on here:

A. Political Unification of Humanity
[ ] Tiberium Control Network Effect
[ ] Subordination of the Brotherhood of Nod
[ ] Truth and Reconciliation

Unites Humanity, makes us as one nation for the next quest and gives us the best industrial starting point in the next quest.

B1. Calmed Tensions
[ ] Tiberium Control Network Effect
[ ] Truth and Reconciliation
[ ] Technology Exchange

B2. United but Pissed off Earth
[ ] Tiberium Control Network Effect
[ ] Subordination of the Brotherhood of Nod
[ ] Technology Exchange

This one will grab the shiny that is Kane tech. Advancing Humanities tech tree or more likely opening up whole new fields. We are not a united humanity though. Either because of internal factions that will break us up or because we are still separate states.

Firstly congrats to our squidy overlord, you are a hero for getting us this far!

As for my vote, as tempting as the tech goodies are, I'm going to bet that a unified humanity WITH Tiberium under control is gonna SCIENCE! to absurd levels with global peace for the first time.

It occurs to me that if we absorb Nod, we should get their technology

As such, as much as letting go of new tasty, revolutionary techs pains me, and because political stability is way under appreciated...

The vote is now between a unified humanity, and Kane's special reserve tech gacha. And while it's painful for me to give up tech gacha, well. If humanity is stepping out into the wider galaxy, having a constant civil war going year after year is an absolutely massive crippling problem no matter what kind of tech we have. Think about how throughout GDI's history, the split between fighting Nod and Tiberium meant neither ended up being addressed. Or how during the quest, how much of a massive dice sink the military was compared to everything else. Peace of any kind is expensive, and this vote is no exception.
