As An Eagle Flies (A House Arryn Quest)

-[X]Spend time with the Graftons: Perhaps Marq will be interesting to be with… if you can keep up with his acrobatics. Rolled:1D100 => 89+10=99 Friendship roll:1D100 => 99

Strategy Roll: 1D100 => 90+20(Skilled Martial)-15(Lack of intelligence)-10(Other plans being better)-10 (No command Experience)=75

Shouldn't we be getting bonuses for these rolls? Like Diplomacy for the first and our Quick and Diligent traits for the second?

-10(Other plans being better)

Oh. Well then...

[X]Go with Ser Gerold: Ser Gerold is prepared for an assault on the harbor and is asking for volunteers. And he would get several: Uncle Yohn, Lord's Holland and Darklyn, and even Ser Barrisitan the Bold.

While I'd like to stay on the ships and make sure nothing bites us in the ass, I'm sure we have atleast some competent people back with the ships?

For the Plan roll, that is only going to be using your military skills, which is your martial.
Like Diplomacy for the first and our Quick and Diligent traits for the second?
Diplomacy is more of official capacity, like negotiating, meeting with the vassels in an official capacity or when we are as the heir of the Vale. When we are back in Westeros, acting as the heir, master of laws or acting as a diplomat, that +50 will be added to the rolls.

Here in the war, we are operating only on our traits because they are what matter the most to these people right now.

However, I should have said this earlier so people won't think this is a copout, you guys get a reroll when talking to people, just because you are so diplomatically talented.

only for the war though.

lets be stupidly brave and all that.

also i thought squirs always followed there knights that was like an un-written rule or something?

You're quite right... but our Dad's there too, so Gerold could see it as us following our father's orders, who kinda supersede him in the hierarchy of "People more important than him"

Guys, I don't think our martial skill will ever be improved beyond what it currently is, we got lucky with that roll a few turns back that put us where we currently are but I just can't see it happening again with the way we get repeated failures only on martial training. It's sad but it's the trend thus far.

that and us trying to get a knight with sea sickness to train us while on a ship didn`t help us.

oh wel, i`m sure there well be more chances for us to learn as long as we don`t so anything overtly foolish like i don`t know accept a duel or something i think we be fine for now.

We are skilled enough to be a good but ot amazing fighter which is enough to have us survive this war as long as we have some support nearby I think.

Still, I'm gonna keep trying to improve or martial and of course stewardship. Those two are what i think are most important to get up to master or even legendary if we get lucky.

MAgoose Plays War of Nine Penny Kings
So I played a bit of CK2 Agot mod and played as Arstan on a whim. (No I do not have screenshots so don't ask)

It was quite fun.

So it took me a few minutes to mod the game files so that all the marriages happened like in my story.

I added a little event for The Aftermath of Summerhall, where everyone involved was all given the friend status effect, along with "Savior" with Joanna and Aerys to mirror our actions in Summerhall.

Steffon is a formidable fighter (instead of skilled he had in canon), but that's about it.

I also gave Rhaella Scholar and Erudite to add to her book-loving nature in this story, and also to up her learning because she is one of the most well-read ladies in the Seven kingdoms at this time/

During the War of Ninepenny kings war. Arstan and Jon and the Bronze Yohn commanded the main Arryn forces, while the Hunters, the Graftons, and the Waxly's commanded the reserve that are coming behind us.

We landed at Bloodstone while Ormund landed on Grey Gallows and Skull Island.

Aerys and his Massive Army landed in the Disputed lands.

so we seiged it down and all seven kingdoms slowly came to the air, until "Holy Fuck!" A Volantine Army showes up and fucks the Stormlander Army in the Ass.

Because as it turns out, Maeyles the Monsterous married the tetrarch's daughter and got an alliance with it... meaning we've got to deal with the 40k troops from the stepstones and another 45k from Volantis. Needless to say I was a little bit worried because dead old Maeyles was pretty strong now.

Then Spotted Tom dueled my ass. And this is where things get fucking crazy.

Now I'm a skilled fighter, and so is Tom, so this was going to be a hard fight... and then I killed him in a single round's worth of rolls.

The Seven were with us that day, because we just stack wiped 10 k

Now, at that moment I thought the war was going to be swinging our favor... And then Ormund's army fought against Maelys.

Unfortunately, the battle went the way of canon, with Ormund dying (presumably in the arms of Steffon) and the army getting smashed with thousands of casualties.

Then The Lord of Battles captured dad while we were made Master of Laws back home... It was quite confusing what the Ai does.

But the Ai was smart enough to make us regent and then babies! Rhaella gave birth to a little girl named "Aurelia"

As regent we decided to embezzle money to buy dads freedom... I'm sure he would understand.

Back to the war, Aerys and the Iron Throne co had some reinforcements from the Westerlands and the whole Iron fleet started raiding and sacking and murdering fools.

Quilleon turned out to be the MVP because he sacked Tyrosh, and captured three of the main enemy commanders of the band of nine.

There was one final battle against MAelys, and guess who killed him?

Ser Gerold Hightower killed him... Ironically enough but he did lose an arm.

The war was over, Maelys got executed by way of battel, and well... I continued for a few years before I decided to write the update

CK2... the only game where the stories we create are almost as batshit crazy as GRRM or my mind

have to atmit i have not tried very hard but for some reason i can never get that mod to work for me.
more power to you friend for getting it to work as doing mostly as well at the game lets ya.

i know, it just for some reason doesn`t want to work for me. i don`t know why.

Wrong version perhaps?
You should definitely get it from the agot.citadel site if you want it. It may also be because you don't have the needed add-ons and expansions maybe?

But if neither of those options work, reinstall CK2 and then before you get any other mod, use the AGOT installer, that's about all I can think of really.

It's because of this that I'm both ecstatic and somewhat terrified that CK3 is coming out next year.
