A New Vale: Keeping the Peace
-[X]Keeping The Peace (Mountain Clans): You will ride, to make sure that the Clans are not continuing their mischief. Reward:
1D100 => 77+50=127
-[X]Keeping the Peace (The Vale Lord's: You will Ride, and make sure your lord's understand that your orders were absolute. Reward:
1D100 => 70+50=120
You rode to several clans that lived close to Vale Lord's, those who felt slighted by the current peace that had now descended upon the Vale itself by your decree.
They were cowed as you rode into the land of dispute, and made your displeasure clear.
Lord Finger was not happy that half his lands belonged to the Fishers, but was very… persuaded by the number of men you promised to defend his lands, and the amount of Fish the Fishers had to pay him to use his waters.
The Clansmen were angered, but since their wishes and protests were acknowledged and fixed by you, they were happier, and not willing to cause a ruckus.
It was the same for almost every other lord and clan you went to. The Lord got paid in goods, or in a few cases, mining rights in the mountains, the clans gained lands for trade, food or living spaces.
The maps would need to be redrawn… but soon the land of the Vale would have some semblance of peace.
For how long is anyone's guess.
Reward: Peace is maintained in the Vale. Due to rolling so well, only a Region report roll of lower than 40, will make this action appear again.
A civil war within the Vale is now averted.
You can now begin investments in the Vale's mining, agriculture, and Seafaring industries.
New actions are now available.
-[X]The Census of the Vale: It has been nearly Three Years now since the Men of the Vale have gone to war… and it seems your father forgot to send out a census when he returned home. By the Seven, did he forget it on purpose, or did he believe little changed in the year you were gone at War. Reward:
1D100 => 44+50=94
Including the Mountain Men, The Vale had a population of almost 10 million people. It was due to the rise in birth rates in major settlements, soldiers settling down and starting for their families.
Marberiads request that the septons hear the thoughts and prayers of the men, were helpful in making them feel like they could belong home.
The retired soldiers are also talking about their struggles and stories within many new taverns and inns around the Vales new roads.
Reward: The Population of the Vale is growing rapidly, due to the aftermath of the war and the low crime and bandit rate in the Vale.
The Vale's Tax income and Trade income will increase significantly because of it.
There is a 20% chance of peace cementing between the Vale and Mountain Clans in two generations.
-[X]The Bow Dispute: The Hunters and the Corbray's are arguing about Broken Bow pass again, and they have requested that you hear their case, and decide on the issue. Reward:
1D100 => 36+70=106
The Dispute wasn't even a dispute.
Apparently there was some old paperwork that both claimed gave them dominion of the Broken Bow pass.
This legal paperwork happened to be from over six hundred years ago, with the entire paper illegible, making the whole thing up for debate and law.
So, instead of picking a side, you just forged a new legal document and made it satisfactory to both parties.
Somehow it worked, and both houses got what they wanted, but just splitting the travel tariff revenue for the next ten years.
Reward: You settled the dispute without drawing any blood.
-[X]Expand Night's Watch Recruitment: The letter from Semon has made you scared… weary, and Afraid. You will make sure the Wall has men and Materials for the Wall, to whatever the coming Darkness may bring. Reward:
1D100 => 92
You had made sure that enough men, material, and gold got to the nights watch.
Reward: The Vale has sent half a million Dragons in Material, and Gold to the Night's Watch. They have also sent almost 2000 men to the Wall.
-[X]Build a Retinue: You want to create a retinue of sorts, to assist you in your duties and in your travels around the Vale. (Note, this will Generate a Random Retinue of Locals from Around the Eyrie, you will not be able to build it yourself via events from other actions, or from keeping.) Reward:
1D100 => 6+30=36
Once again, you failed in such a spectacular fashion that the lord's make japs about you not having any eye for talent in the Eyrie itself.
Failure
-[X]Go to Gulltown: Marq must be bored out of his mind being back from the war. Maybe you can convince him to work with you? If his duties permit him, of course. Reward:
1D100 => 87+30=107
Marq was happy to see you. "ARSTAN!" He shouted as he jumped off his horse to give you a hug. "It's great to see you again!"
"Likewise Marq… Though I have to say, I hope you don't mind if I go straight to business." You stated calmly.
"I know, I'm packed and everything!" He said with enthusiasm.
"You knew?" You asked.
"Of course, Rhae told me in her letter." He stated.
Curse your wife and her obsessive letter writing. "Is that going to be alright?"
"Of course brother!" He said. "I'd fight beside you no matter what."
You nodded. "Thank you."
Reward: Marq Grafton has joined your Retinue. Every Three turns, he may bring you a treasure map from Gulltown. These maps will have a 50/50 chance of being traps or lead to real treasure.
He is also bringing along his wife, Ella. So expect births.
AN: Enjoy.
