An Unusual Abnormality - Redux (A Lobotomy Corporation x ??? Interactive Quest)

Day 2.36
>Proceed to watch everyone wail on the snek. After two attempts to laser you, this is actually not unpleasant.
>You watch as the humans relentlessly beat on the snake as it tries to recover. The monster shrieks in pain at the sudden onslaught until it suddenly bends over backwards and starts convulsing.
>The snake is then consumed by a pillar of bright, pinkish-purple light. When the light fades, you see an exhausted looking teenage girl with dishevelled cyan hair floating above a magic circle. She is dressed in a pink and white, frilly dress with dark purple stripes on the skirt, and beside her is what seems to be a winged staff topped with a star sporting a heart shaped hole in the center.
>The girl slowly drifts down to the magic circle and promptly collapses on the floor. The staff clatters to the ground next to her moments later.
>She seems to mumble something that you can't hear before passing out.

>With the threat neutralized, most of the humans then turn their weapons on you!
>"Everyone relax, I'll handle this." Alyssa steps ahead of the group, before sighing, "I leave you alone for a few minutes and you've already breached again... Is this going to be a regular thing with you?"
>_

Day 2.37
>"Maybe? I heard something hissing and thought I could help."
>"Well there were strange sounds coming from my hallway so I investigated it."
>"I see... Well now that the danger has passed, I'm sure you won't mind being re-contained, right?"

>Wave to the group and greet them.
>Inspect the group to see if anyone there has machine parts on them.
>You wave. Most of them are regarding you with caution or are treating you with indifference. Though one teal-haired woman with twintails holding an organic-looking cannon of some kind seems to be glaring at you.
>You inspect them. They are wearing various interesting suits, but none of them seem to be wearing anything explicitly mechanical.

>"what going on with this girl?"
>"She just had one of her episodes, that's all." Alyssa replies.
>_

Day 2.38
>Tilt head sideways.
>"Episodes? "
>"She isn't exactly the most emotionally stable person..."

>"Sure! I'll go back!"
>Go back into your room
>Check to see if your spellcard mishap didn't break anything.
>You head back. The wall is almost completely black with scorch marks and some of the temporary radiation shields have been knocked off, but otherwise the wall is intact.
>The door closes moments later, leaving you by yourself again.
>_

Day 2.39
> See if you can put the radiation shields back on the wall.
>You pick up one of the radiation shields examining it, before placing the side with the black strips against the wall.
>You feel a small tug of magnetism as the panel sticks firmly to the wall. Satisfied with your work you place the other few that you knocked off with your attack back in their rightful positions.

>You finish quickly.

Day 2.40
//Apologies for the delay.

> In a moment of brilliance, try learning how to juggle.
>You can juggle suns, right?
>You could create nonspell shots that are affected by gravity, so you could definitely try to see if you can juggle. How hard can just tossing a bunch of balls be?
>Surprisingly, it's more difficult you expect, and within moments you already drop one of the three gravity-affected suns you were attempting it with, which explodes upon contact with the floor in a bright flash.
>Startled by your mishap, you end up accidentally flinging the other two suns into the wall and ceiling respectively, where they also promptly explode...
>...Oops.

>Now that you think about it, isn't Alyssa the first human friend you made?
>You should do something to celebrate the occasion!
>You think... Is she really the first human friend you made? Does she even consider you one in turn? She does interact with you more on a daily basis than the other humans you know at least, but that might because it's just part of her job...
>Whatever the case, you feel like you should celebrate for some reason, but aren't sure exactly in what way you should do so.
>_

Day 2.41
>You need someone to talk with about all this. Consider talking with the divine that has been helpfully providing you with atomic powers all this time. Considering that you haven't been cursed, exploded, or otherwise divinely punished for absorbing and using that divine power, they are probably friendly.
>You are kind of a walking shrine of her as is, or at least some sort of a conduit... to contact her you probably need to look inward, somehow.
>Try to take a nap while thinking of contacting Yatagarasu. Maybe you could speak with them in your dreams?
>You consider attempting to contact Lord Yatagarasu again. Maybe you need to sleep while thinking of him.
>With that in mind, you lay down on the bed, and thinking about nothing but Yatagarasu, drift off to sleep...

>...

>You are floating in a sea of--BZZZZZZZZZZZZZZT

>Whatever dream was starting is quite rudely interrupted by the sound of the buzzer.
>You are somewhat irritated at the loss of the dream as you open your eyes. As you do so, you notice Alyssa walking into the room, holding a clipboard.

Day 2.42
>"Hi!"
>"What are we working on this time?"
>"Attachment again. Mostly just asking some questions regarding your recent behavior."

> Extend your arms out in to an embrace
> "And how about that hug you owe me?"
>"...I owe you one?" she questions, not reacting to you raising your arms.

>You aren't finished dreaming. Go back to sleep.
>Should you really do this in the middle of a conversation?
>_

Day 2.43
>"What do you want to know?"
>"Well first of all, your breaches seem to have a pattern to them, always seeming to occur when an ordeal or abnormality is outside your door. Not counting the times you were released by an outside force... I believe you said earlier that you did so because you wanted to help, right?"

>Lower your hands. Sigh heavily.
>You do so.
>"...Is something wrong?"
>_

Day 2.44
Hugs;
>"Are people here allergic to hugs? Do you explode when hugged? I swear, it was easier to get a hug out of Orin, and she was an actual cat."
>"Well it's against policy for us to become too emotionally attached to an abnormality. A hug might be seen as a sign of such, and they do monitor our interactions through the cameras." Alyssa answers, "Plus there is a cautionary tale related to this that they include in the employee manual which describes an incident at another facility where an agent was literally hugged to death by an abnormality..."

Help;
"Yep. Also, boredom. Without an actual job, there is not much to look forward to other than blasting things."
>"I see..." Alyssa writes something down on the clipboard, "Well, if that's the case it might be possible to get you a 'job' like that of a few other abnormalities currently at this facility, but considering your risk level it might be a bit difficult to do so..."
>_

Day 2.45
> pout at how one abnormality ruined hugs for all. Jerk.
>You pout... You can't believe someone was able to ruin hugs of all things...

>"What jobs do the other abnormalities have?"
>"Well, it's mostly suppression assistance. An abnormality named Der Freischutz, for instance, can fire a magic bullet anywhere in the facility if the manager calls for it. Another one, Red, takes a more direct approach, and actually hunts down the abnormality she's tasked with suppressing. Of course, neither of them offer these services for free, and I assume you would have your own price to name if you wanted a similar job..."

Job and hobbies;
>"Well, it is better than staring at a wall all day long. Anything else to burn some time would be fine, too. I never tried to construct anything other than a nuclear reactor, but assembling a bed was pretty fun... I would be pretty happy with more furniture in here, especially stuff I can assemble myself."
>"That would be simpler to arrange. We can probably send something during the next Insight work."
