An Unusual Abnormality - Redux (A Lobotomy Corporation x ??? Interactive Quest)

@Evil_Nazgul0616 do we need to stop attacking for a moment to swap to a lethal version of giga-flare, or it we could seamlessly transition to frying her with a more powerful beam?
//Think of a spellcard as a pre-written set of instructions that gets executed. You can't modify them to significant degree without physically rewriting them. If you wanted to make the main shots more powerful, you would need to cancel the card, and fire either more powerful nonspell versions or the potentially lethal stuff.

//Cancelling the card will cause a couple seconds of lag time before you can fire more shots, so it will not be a perfectly seamless transition. It will also dissipate all existing shots that were part of that spellcard.

Perhaps we should retreat into one of the bigger rooms. So we can use our flight.
It'll fire a laserbeam in a second. We either dodge back into our containment room and hope that it cannot adjust its aim, or continue firing and hope that we don't lose the beam clash.

...actually

//You can certainly move during the lag time, yes. You can even start moving before cancelling, as unless a spellcard explicitly forces you to stay stationary, you are allowed to move during them.
Are ceilings high enough to fly over QoH head?

Since iirc QoH really cannot adjust where she fires her laser at all once attack has started, just flying over her laser beam might be viable. Would be entirely free to keep firing or to swap for a more powerful attack at our leisure, in that case.

Can Utsuho can move quickly enough to get behind her in roughly a second or less?
//Well she's no crow tengu.

//I'd say maybe if she tried hard enough due to how close she is? I would likely roll a die if you attempted it.

//EDIT: Re-read and noticed you said a second or less instead of a few seconds. I would say it's very unlikely if that's the time frame you're shooting for.

Rrright.

>While still firing, move toward your room. Should snake's laser start overwhelming giga-flare, hide in your room.

At worst, Utsuho is durable enough to not get incapacitated by a glancing blow, I think. QoH's beam is pretty lethal, but it is significantly less lethal than it actually looks; a moment or three of contact should be fine.

Day 2.34
>While still firing, move toward your room. Should snake's laser start overwhelming giga-flare, hide in your room.
>You inch closer to your room while firing, quickly ducking inside when a large purple beam begins to pass through your mini-suns.
>You are still under the effects of the spellcard, so you continue to fire after ducking inside, producing a large amount of smoke as your projectiles slam into the wall surrounding the door.

Soooo... gonna put this here
>Peek outside of your room. Check if any teams are behind the goat thingy. If not, hit it with lethal Giga Flare. If their is a team, support them with precise danmaku rounds to distract it.

We're still in Spellcard Mode. First we need to stop, then wait for the lag cooldown to wear off, while also waiting for the smoke to clear so we can actually see. By the time we do that, QoH will have already gone through her own lag cooldown and start charging/firing another laser.

>Cancel spellcard. Wait until the snek isn't firing her laser. Then continue as per Sgtsoldier's post.

Since were just firing a giant line-laser of our own, there shouldn't be any lobcopr employees behind QoH, and there sure as hell are not going to be any employees coming from direction QoH is currently filling with lasers.

QoH is going to keep firing for long enough for the lag cooldown to finish, and smoke... isn't meaningfully inhibiting us from firing at QoH's last known position. As long as we actually cancel the spellcard, it is fine.

Strictly speaking, we also can do a non-spellcard patterned attack like creating and engulfing QoH in a small sun or just beating her up, but... eh.

...we really should develop those Hisoutensoku attack patterns. Would allow us to limit collateral damage considerably.

Day 2.35
>Cancel spellcard. Wait until the snek isn't firing her laser. Then continue as per Sgtsoldier's post.
>Peek outside of your room. Check if any teams are behind the goat thingy. If not, hit it with lethal Giga Flare. If their is a team, support them with precise danmaku rounds to distract it.
>You cancel the spellcard and watch as your remaining shots are dissipated by the resulting pulse.
>You then wait until you no longer hear the sound of the laser, before floating through what little smoke remains and peeking out into the hallway.

>The snake monster is collapsing from what seems like fatigue. It does seem like your Giga Flare battered it a bit, judging from the scorch marks on its scales.
>As it's catching its breath, the sudden sound of footsteps echoing behind it grabs your attention, and you soon notice a small crowd of humans, Alyssa and Archer among them running up with various weapons drawn.

Day 2.36
>Proceed to watch everyone wail on the snek. After two attempts to laser you, this is actually not unpleasant.
>You watch as the humans relentlessly beat on the snake as it tries to recover. The monster shrieks in pain at the sudden onslaught until it suddenly bends over backwards and starts convulsing.
>The snake is then consumed by a pillar of bright, pinkish-purple light. When the light fades, you see an exhausted looking teenage girl with dishevelled cyan hair floating above a magic circle. She is dressed in a pink and white, frilly dress with dark purple stripes on the skirt, and beside her is what seems to be a winged staff topped with a star sporting a heart shaped hole in the center.
>The girl slowly drifts down to the magic circle and promptly collapses on the floor. The staff clatters to the ground next to her moments later.
>She seems to mumble something that you can't hear before passing out.

>With the threat neutralized, most of the humans then turn their weapons on you!
>"Everyone relax, I'll handle this." Alyssa steps ahead of the group, before sighing, "I leave you alone for a few minutes and you've already breached again... Is this going to be a regular thing with you?"

>Wave to the group and greet them.
>Inspect the group to see if anyone there has machine parts on them.
>"Well there were strange sounds coming from my hallway so I investigated it."

Day 2.37
>"Maybe? I heard something hissing and thought I could help."
>"Well there were strange sounds coming from my hallway so I investigated it."
>"I see... Well now that the danger has passed, I'm sure you won't mind being re-contained, right?"

>Wave to the group and greet them.
>Inspect the group to see if anyone there has machine parts on them.
>You wave. Most of them are regarding you with caution or are treating you with indifference. Though one teal-haired woman with twintails holding an organic-looking cannon of some kind seems to be glaring at you.
>You inspect them. They are wearing various interesting suits, but none of them seem to be wearing anything explicitly mechanical.

>"what going on with this girl?"
>"She just had one of her episodes, that's all." Alyssa replies.
