An Unusual Abnormality - Redux (A Lobotomy Corporation x ??? Interactive Quest)

Day 2.26
>Slooooowly poke your head out again, you want to see what did that!
>You slowly and cautiously poke your head out again, the hallway is incredibly scorched from the blast, but to your surprise the end of the hall is less destroyed than you were expecting. There is some structural damage to the wall, and the door itself is sparking and not closing all the way, but you were honestly expecting a massive hole.
>The door opens up with a grinding noise as Alyssa cautiously steps back into the hallway. Unfortunately, the door behind that one seems to be mostly closed, so you can't get a good look at whatever fired that laser, much to your disappointment.
>Alyssa begins making her way back down the hall towards you.

Day 2.27
>"Was that someone's attempt at a spell?"
>"No, it's just the resident Magical Girl having one of her episodes..."

>"...Should I fire a beam right back?"
>"That... would probably cause more harm than good, considering the suppression team is likely coming up behind her."

>Don't forget to tell her what a Shinigami is before she leaves again.
>"Did Marisa end up here too? That seemed kind of like one of her spellcards."
>You make a mental note to do so.
>"Who's Marisa?"

Day 2.31
//Sorry for the delay, was updating another quest on spacebattles.
>Wait a while to see if anything else happens, if not, take a nap.
>Ponder alternative methods of constructing nuclear reactors.
>You start waiting while pondering alternative methods of nuclear reactors.

>Well for a self sustaining fusion reactor you have two options for construction: A reaction chamber containing a miniature sun, like what you have at home; or a tokamak which confines the plasma into ring shape. Both of which are equally efficient, and have similar resource costs to create. It's more of a matter of design preference.

>Another, less safe alternative, would be a fission reactor, which would require access to unstable radioactive isotopes, such as Uranium 235. It would create 1/4 of the energy output of an equivalent fusion reactor, but it would be less costly to build and maintain aside from acquiring the fissile element. However, there is a much higher risk of irradiation and meltdown with this type of reactor.

>You hear a distorted noise from the hallway, followed by a muffled hissing sound.
>_

Day 2.32
>Another incident so soon?
>This bears investigating.
>Try and listen carefully for other sounds coming from the hallway.
>You put your eat to the door. In addition to the hissing, you hear dragging noises.

>Open the door and look if anyone needs to be blasted over there.

Prrobably agents suppressing QoH.
> Hissing? That could be the snake goddess!
> Try and open the door.
>You blast the door since that's how you opened it last time.
>When the smoke clears, the door opens with a loud groan. Wasting no time, you peer out to see if anything needs blasting.

>Immediately to your left, you notice a large, blue and pink snake creature with a pair of clawed arms jutting out of the back of its head. Sprouting out of its back is a large pair of wings.

>It stares at you with soulless eyes, as if sizing you up.

Day 2.33
>Wave awkwardly at it
>"...Hi?"
>The monster roars before a magic circle materializes under it.

>Recall that Alyssa appreciated you dealing with the last couple of troublemakers.
>Giga Flare it. Non-lethally, since there is a hole at the end of the corridor.
>You fly out and activate Giga Flare, allowing the spellcard trance to take over.
>You fire off your volley at point blank range just as a second magic circle begins to form over the snake monster's mouth.

>The hallway around starts to glow purple as you continue to fire.
>_

Day 2.34
>While still firing, move toward your room. Should snake's laser start overwhelming giga-flare, hide in your room.
>You inch closer to your room while firing, quickly ducking inside when a large purple beam begins to pass through your mini-suns.
>You are still under the effects of the spellcard, so you continue to fire after ducking inside, producing a large amount of smoke as your projectiles slam into the wall surrounding the door.
>_

Day 2.35
>Cancel spellcard. Wait until the snek isn't firing her laser. Then continue as per Sgtsoldier's post.
>Peek outside of your room. Check if any teams are behind the goat thingy. If not, hit it with lethal Giga Flare. If their is a team, support them with precise danmaku rounds to distract it.
>You cancel the spellcard and watch as your remaining shots are dissipated by the resulting pulse.
>You then wait until you no longer hear the sound of the laser, before floating through what little smoke remains and peeking out into the hallway.

>The snake monster is collapsing from what seems like fatigue. It does seem like your Giga Flare battered it a bit, judging from the scorch marks on its scales.
>As it's catching its breath, the sudden sound of footsteps echoing behind it grabs your attention, and you soon notice a small crowd of humans, Alyssa and Archer among them running up with various weapons drawn.
